I had a creme point rag doll (he was mixed with a different breed,) they were barnyard cats. He was an amazing cat! He was huge, white, longhair, and floppy with an attitude...lol. The best!!! He was huge! And a cuddler...if I was late with his food, or his litter box was a tiny bit too yucky, he would find a piece of my clothes, and pull it in front of me, and he peed on it... And made sure I saw him...and I had a big ceramic rooster, beautiful thing, sitting on top of my hutch...(about 6" from the ceiling). He got up there, and very, very slowly, pushed it off, and shattered. I wasn't used to having cats, only farm cats, so he broke me in, big time.He loved going outside, and he was about 5' from the street, and this car stopped, and this woman jumped out and grabbed him. I didn't have time to get any info of the car, and I looked everywhere for him, for months-- never saw him again. His younger brothers & sisters are now 10 days old, and I am getting two of them, looks like they will be exactly like Max. I also have a black domestic, Max's cousin, and she is opposite of him..calm, quiet, but bored.. She & Max were together ALL the time, so I hope these two babies and Lizzy love each other!! Now I need names! Getting a boy and a girl. Lizzy sleeps on my lap through out the day, and sleeps on my chest or my side, all night... but she won't let me pick her up...ever. The only one who can is my 10 yr old granddaughter.....when she is here, Lizzy stands in front of her, and reaches up for my granddaughter to pick her up...snuggles right in with my grand...
My Ragdoll used to open doors, play fetch and I trained him to walk outside with me. After all these years since he departed to cat cloud city I still hear his voice asking for food, his flopping to call my attention and the funny sounds he would make when doing that, or how happy he was when I was back from work following me around the house!! Despite the fact that I cried like never before when he left me, I heartily cherish the happiness he brought to my life! I highly recommend this breed.
Mine loves leash walks! He toddles around, takes a nice roll in the grass and strolls along! He is only allowed out with me on the leash. No way do I let him alone outside!
I've recently had a bad experience with a new puppy with him being aggressive and such. Sadly I'm gonna have to give my puppy away to a better family. I just want a nice, affectionate companion but raising this aggressive puppy for 5 months kind of ruined the fun of dogs for me but I want a companion for a long time. I've heard ragdoll cats can live to 12-15 years so I'm thinking of getting one that's like 3 or 4 years old. If I do get a cat, this will be my first cat experience so.. I hope cats aren't as aggressive as I've heard.. Then again, a lot of my friends are dog people so I may have been getting the wrong news 😓
My Frankie was a rag doll when I was depressed after my son’s death he stayed with me on bed & would lick my tears. He got me through my son’s death by his unconditional love 💗 he is now in heaven with my son
My ragdoll, Mochi is empathetic too. ..so much so that even when I'm laughing really hard, she thinks I'm crying. She comes running over to console me until I'm "better". When she licks my laugh tears, it make me laugh even harder. Last night I had food poisoning and was really sick. She was SO concerned for me and stayed with me all night. I love her so much. She was an abandoned runt and I rescued her when she was only about two weeks old, so we have an _extremely_ tight bond.
I don’t comment often but my ragdoll loves being held, goes limp when held, can be picked up by anyone, follows me relentlessly, is incredibly playful and affectionate, but is extremely unathletic. She is one of the clumsiest cats I have ever seen
I got lucky and adopted a purebred ragdoll from Furry Friends in Vancouver, WA in 2005. I chose him from many other cats because he was not concerned about dogs. It was at a Petco with many cages lined up. He was on his back, relaxed sticking his paw through the next cage trying to engage play. I found someone with a huge dog in the store and had him walk through the cat cage area, FELIX could not have cared less--I adopted him on the spot not knowing he was a purebred Ragdoll. Felix would jump on total strangers' laps. Also at a huge party in my living room with 20 strangers to him, he sauntered in, rolled on his back in the middle of the room, and could not care less about the situation. He lived to be 20 years old. I am a 70 year old man and I cried for a month. I still cry 3 years later if I think about him.
So sorry for your loss. I wish for you a new cat from the shelter! My grandfather was 70 when we got him a rescue and I think the years with his cat were his best years until he passed away
We were so lucky to find our beautiful ragdoll at a shelter while she was still a kitten. She was all white and we had never even heard of a ragdoll. We did not know her coat would become this gorgeous white coat with muted colors of caramel and grey nor that she would have her snuggly "puppy cat" personality. I work from home as a therapist and she loves her job as a therapy cat! We won the shelter lottery with this incredible cat!
I just adopted a ragdoll from a shelter. I also had no idea until I posted a picture of him on Facebook and people replied on him being a ragdoll. I just thought what an adorable kitten he was. So I too won the shelter lottery! Also, my last cat wandered into my life and she was a bengal kitten. So I won the lottery twice now! I can’t wait to see his personality as he gets older.
Our beautiful Ragdoll lived almost 20 years with us and we still miss his beautiful self. He was big and beautiful and sweet and loving. He loved playing fetch and loved everyone and everyone loved him too. He had the sweetest little meow for such a big boy. There will never be another like him 💙
We recently lost our precious Lorelei after nearly 18 wonderful years. She was so loving and cuddly and would follow me around the house and sleep with me at night. She was carried in our arms more often than she walked, and was a loving member of the family. I’ve never felt such pain since she passed two months ago, but I would not trade that special loving relationship for anything. Farewell for now my little love. When my turn comes, I’ll cuddle with you in heaven. That’s a rag doll!
I love my Ragdoll! He is an amazing cat and friend. His piercing blue eyes, docile and forgiving nature is incredible. U am his chosen person. He is almist ALWAYS in the same room as I am. He communicates all his needs vocally and clearly. He is 18 lbs of love. He did cost 1300 (5 years ago), but was definitely worth it!I would never have any other cat again!🥰
I'm so sorry to hear that u must have been heartbroken having the cat for so long iv always had a cat but 2yrs ago I adopted pixie from a breeder she was kind enough to not take any money for her and she is just wonderful
I have one. She's supremely affectionate! She loves to sit on my lap, follow me around, kiss me, cuddle with me, etc. She also has drop dead gorgeous big blue eyes! She acts more like a puppy than a cat. I love her.
We have a Ragdoll that is off the charts intelligent. He has blown me away many times by showing a level of thinking that I never imagined that a cat was capable of, and I've had cats all my life. He is also absolutely gorgeous, even by Ragdoll standards. It's the only time I felt that sterilization might have been a mistake.
@Evgeny I don't - in general. What I meant is that in this case it might have been good if my cat got offspring since he turned out to be very intelligent and very beautiful. I've lost count the times I've been told to take him to shows, competitions or that he should be a cat model. My family has had many cats, but no-one like this. In that sense it would have been nice to pass his genes on. That said, I think everyone should castrate their cat unless they are planning on breeding more.
Is there some secret to his longevity? My neva masquerade left us when he was only 14 and 8 month old. I am thinking about getting Ragdoll as they look similar but are maybe more gentle.
mine is an adoptee too she was found preggers asking for food . the first time i saw her i fell in love. she walks right up to anyone who comes in the house, is so super friendly.

ThankYou for doing your research and getting your facts right. Most of the other Ragdoll videos don’t. Thanks again, I had my first Ragdoll from 2004 till 2018. He lived to be 15 . Now I have 2 Ragdolls a brother and sister. I love this breed. I still miss my original Cat a lot he really was my best friend. He always had a way of telling me exactly what he wanted. Thanks so much for this video.
I feel the same. I had my first Ragdoll, Jack for 15 years. He was a huge blue bi color with eyes like sapphires. I miss him so much, it hurts even 3 years later. I have a new blue bi color boy who is now 11 months old. They are the best cats on earth.
I was lucky enough to adopt a ragdoll mix. She has most of the personality traits and physical features, but not the size or coat coloring. I'm a lifetime cat owner. She is by far the best cat I've ever had.
Yes! My 4 month old ragdoll has the zooming around the house all the time, so I changed his name that I originally picked and now his official name is Zoomy!😂😻
My Lynx ragdoll cat Willowbee definitely is not a lap cat! He will sit close to you but rarely sleeps on you. He does go limp when you pick him up though!
I adopted my mitted Ragdoll from a shelter. He is the best cat I’ve ever had. Everything in this video describes my cat except my ragdoll likes being picked up but only if I hold him a certain way.
The thing about adopting at a shelter is so true, I rescued my first cat, Stanley, from a shelter and learned about Ragdoll cats because of him. He used to go limp in my arms like a Ragdoll, but he had a Tuxedo fur pattern so I don't think he was actually a Ragdoll cat. He was so loving though. RIP my childhood kitty.
I’ve had my son, Sir Theodore Bartholomew Montoya III for a year now and I highly recommend this breed. I’m a dog person, but Ragdolls are truly wonderful animals. Update: Unfortunately, Theodore has tragically passed away.
Nice video. I've had three seal point Ragdolls and can honestly say NONE of them were lap cats. As you correctly stated, they like to be close to you, but do not want to sit ON you (at least my three). In addition, they are not talkers and hardly make any noise at all. Thanks for the fun video.
Loved this! I typically watch "all about ragdolls" videos to laugh at how much my own ragdoll DOESN'T fit in with the common things. I mean, my ragdoll is a mixed breed, so I'm sure that's part of it. But she HATES to be picked up and rarely will sit on my lap. Most videos about ragdolls state that they all love being held and are major lap cats. I was happy to see that you didn't resort to the cliche and instead reported that a lot of them don't care for those things! I had to laugh also at the flopping down right in front of you and rolling over. My Stormy does that all the time and she loves to have her tummy rubbed!
My mixed ragdoll didn't like to be picked up (he used to "plant" his back feet on my chest when I held him and gave me a dirty look) and didn't like to sit on my lap, every time I tried to put him on my lap and pet him he just stood there for 5-10 seconds then jumped off.
Please include that Minks are also ragdolls, but they just aren't considered "official". The original breeding done by Ann Baker did involve Mink Ragdolls but whoever her successor was ( it was a man I dont remember his name) didn't like the look and wanted to make it more specific and excluded Minks. They are slowly getting bred out and only a handful of breeders still breed Minks. Minks have a darker coat and unlike the approved Raggie look, they are born with their color. They actually have even softer fur than regular ragdolls and everyone is amazed when they pet a Mink Ragdoll.
A lot of people assume that the ‘mink’ coat of the Ragdoll refers to its colour but it’s not….it is partially about the look of the coat but primarily about its texture - I’m sure I have 2 who are going to be Minks. I also have 2 who definitely aren’t and the coats are so different and unbelievably soft.😊
My Ragamuffin Ollie is the best cat ever. He never meows, rather he mumbles little cat talk. Every morning he comes up to me and climbs on my tummy then purrs and gives me kisses. Ollie has learned how to give a paw when asked, sit, walk on a leash and ring a bell when told. What an easy kitty to have.
I adopted a 4 year old female from the animal shelter a few days ago. She’s gray with yellow eyes. She acts exactly like a rag doll cat but doesn’t have blue eyes. Probably a mix breed. She’s the most affectionate cat I’ve ever met. On my lap lots and sleeps close to me at night.
My ragdoll is about to be 2. He loves to be near me but not on top, HATES closed doors, and follows me everywhere. He also travels with me and does good at the beach and rivers.
A few months ago, a ragdoll showed up starving and sick on my patio. We eventually caught her & took her to the vet. She has all the characteristics of a ragdoll but just extremely small. The vet said she’s about 3 years old. She may have been the runt of the litter. She is the most loving, vocal cat ever. She fits in perfectly with our other cats.
I have 4 Ragdolls and the first 2 are from the same litter, I took 1 little girl (my stunningly gorgeous Lady Luna) who is a Lilac point mitted with a white blaze from above the bridge of her nose down to the tip and a stunning pure white ruff around her neck - size appropriate😁, her brother is a chocolate point seal and they are both beyond gorgeous, but while her brother has grown (and my other 2 Ragdoll Kittens…again a male and a female, 2nd little girl being a pure white blue point and my 2nd little boy a white lilac point mitted with very faint Lynx markings on the top of his head and a stripe along his back with a pure white ruff around his neck) , oh…and all 4 have the most amazingly azure / sapphire blue eyes although the 2nd 2 are from a different breeder and completely different lineage and coincidentally they are exactly 7 days younger than my 1st 2 beauties, but getting back to the point….because I could literally gush about my 4 amazingly gorgeous fur babies all day long and as a mother of 4 who are all now adults these gorgeous babies have filled a huge void left in my life, they’re just like having babies all over again….but tbh much less work 🤣, again..I digress, so getting back to the point, I have 3 very well proportioned size appropriate Ragdoll kittens, however my beloved Lady Luna is around the size of an 8wk old kitten, she was the same size as her brother when I picked her out…and again when I collected them, but despite them eating the exact same diet - I’m in the process of transferring them to a more raw diet with some appropriate fresh fruit and veg mixed in and some all natural dry kitty food - all 4 have very healthy appetites and unlike other cats I’ve owned throughout my life, not one of them are fussy about food. Also, like I did with my kids so they continued getting fortified milk on their cereal etc..I still make my fur babies fortified formula kitten milk along with the option of water and she’s the one who primarily drinks the milk along with eating the same size solid food portions as her birth brother and other brother & sister but she just doesn’t seem to grow. I’m actually wondering if she may have a growth hormone deficiency or something similar so she’s going to the vet tomorrow and I’m going to see if they can run some tests for anything. Tbh I love the idea of having a miniature (or teacup as she is right now) Ragdoll cat, as long as she’s healthy and it’s nothing to worry about as far as her health and happiness are concerned. I did suspect that she may be the runt but if she is she’s a tough cookie, extremely fast when it comes to playing chase the red dot (laser pen) and she holds her own when the boys toy fight with her, whereas my other little lady prefers to lay down and call you over as she strikes a pose, seriously, she puts 1 paw over the other, rests her beautiful little chin on them and tilts her head to the side with her beautiful eyes looking straight in to yours.😊 Omg…how embarrassing is it that I gush total adoration about my fur babies…they have me totally wrapped around their little paws and I honestly couldn’t love them more than I do….all very different to look at, all so very different individual personalities but all have the absolute best attributes of the Ragdoll breed and are unbelievably perfect in every way - or it may be that I’m just biased 🤣🤣🤣🙈🙈💞💗💞💗💞
My partner and I are the proud pawrents of a Ragdoll. This was very informative as it explained some things I noticed about our JJ that weren’t normally mentioned in other videos on the subject. Our kitty looks exactly like one of the darker pointed cats in the video , doesn’t like to be picked up or sit on us and doesn’t shed much at all. In fact our short hair tabby is more prone to hairballs. JJ is play crazy, not a big foodie, is a complete diva and loves to welcome us home and follow us everywhere but is shy with new people. She’s very smart and taught us how to play fetch and hide and seek and even begs to go outside to play with bugs, but she has no street smarts and knows exactly when we aren’t looking, so we’ve made the yard her own catio. I love both our cats, and have had many, but have learned that Ragdolls indeed have their own funny and endearing purrsonality traits ❤
I have a cat that is half ragdoll half street tom. The mother was in heat and before she could be bred she escaped out of the house; and thus my cat (SnapCat/Snappy) was conceived. I’ll tell you now, mine won’t leave my side if I bring him outside for some stimulation I just sit on a lawn chair while he lays in the sun. And yes they do got limp. One time I accidentally hauled him out of a cupboard by grabbing his forepaw. Even then he junta hung there for 2 seconds like a dead rabbit. But he’s my handsome boy.
Very accurate facts! My female Ragdoll is just what you described. She also goes out but always comes back, also in the morning, she likes to spare some time kneading on me. Delightful!!
I just recently adopted a ragdoll barn cat kitten and I’m already in love and wanna learn sm more Edit: Her parents are a ragdoll dad and an American shorthair/Persian
I just got two ragdoll cats two weeks ago, one male and another female😄They are really cute, especially this is the first time have cat as family member😎😎😎But also very expensive, they cost me for more than 4000RMB👍👍Me and my mom named the male one “富贵”(fugui, means being rich) and female“千千”(qianqian, menas thousands or many many). Happy New Year for the year of Tiger!😎
I’m expecting a blue mitted Ragdoll boy in the end of July or in the beginning of August and I’m super exited, he is only a week old, aww I can’t wait for my kitten to arrive, I will call him Ferdinand❤️
@@aniab4306 he doesn’t mind cuddles but prefers to sit next to me and snuggle up to me while I pet him. He loves any kind of attention. I talk to him a lot and he likes that too.
I have a Ragdoll cat named Leo, he’s my good boy 😄 Though he isn’t as affectionate as most ones, he loves to come up and sleep on my bed at night before leaving after hours of sleeping, and loves to be in the same room as everyone else. He’s cute and funny, and loves to play with our other cat Ella (who’s a grey-brown tabby), by running around the house chasing eachother. Though he gets ‘a bit rough’ while playing, it’s hard to explain. Overall, I think they are very good pets who are lovely little friends!
We have a 6 month old rd, her hearing is so acute i was shocked. We bought a small laser pointer which had a little chain and keyring clip attached. She chased the little dot around, as they all do, very funny. Recently when i picked the pointer up, i thought i'd pressed the button by accident because she jumped down and was looking for the light before i pushed the button, strange i thought. As it turns out, she can hear the chain rattling as i pick the pointer up! She cannot detect exactly where the noise is coming from, but she definetly associates that noise(which we cannot hear) with the lazer dot! Is that not amazing? I tested it by waiting till she was relaxed, then just picking the laser up with two fingers, and she immediatly jumped down and started looking for the dot.
I am not sure how we got lucky...but we got a rag doll from an animal shelter about 15 years ago...unfortunately he only lived to be 13 years old. He was the sweetest feline boy ever and a seal point.
Wow! I love Maine Coons and was watching all the shelters and rescue groups for one when I found my kitten. The vet believes he is a ragdoll. I bet your cat is beautiful!
I got lucky and found my fur babies at a shelter, we adopted them a month ago. They are both lilac point siamese but one is part rag doll, they are both stunning and great babies, they are 7 months old almost.
@@aniab4306 you won't know if you get one as a kitten...but you could look for an older cat, then you would know for sure that they enjoy cuddling. If you google for Ragdoll cat rescues, you should be able to find some.
My cat acted just like the description. Mine flopped over when patted down her back. She went limp and hung down all over in my arms. Her hair was similar. She liked to sit beside me, didn’t like my lap. I thought she was a rag doll until I found out all rag dolls have blue eyes. She didn’t have blue eyes. I want a rag doll because that is what she acted like. She was perfect. A joy to own. She lived 16 years. I always thought she had rag doll in her lineage. I adopted her from a shelter when she was 1.
My second ragdoll just died yesterday. She was the sweetest cat and so loyal. She liked to sit with her paws on me but not her whole body. She sat on my feet while I was on the toilet. My first ragdoll was such a sweet cat too. She loved being carried and would cry until she was picked up.
unfortunately our ragdoll died on August 2020. He was 16 years old we adopted from the age of 5months. Was the best cat we ever had! We have another 3 ex stray cats ! Please adopt dont shop!
My baby boy loved to play fetch, he was sick once in 14 years and incredibly affectionate and i swear he understood when i talked, at bedtime he would go to the bedroom and meow loudly until i came to bed, he would watch tv and was very sweet to visitors and other animals, ragdoll cats are an excellent choice. I would show my cat his brush and he would jump on the couch immediately to get brushed because he loved it
Our ragdolls have a third sound, and I believe it's common. It's a deep guttural growl, not a roar. Very funny! Such a noise coming out of these sweet mannered cats.
I had my Raggy Mittens 14 years before she left. I guess like us Humans, some get many sicknesses while others stay healthy till they pass. My Mittens began having problems with her teeth just before she turned 2. Her top 2 eye teeth broke in half, so she had surgery to remove them. When she was 4, she got real sick, so the vet gave her antibiotics. We could never figure out what the infection was from. When she was 8, she had a lot of trouble seeing. I learned that blue-eyed cats can lose part of their sight as they age, depending on the depth of the blueness in the eyes. She lived to age 14 and passed from liver disease. I was born and raised with many cats over the years and had never heard that cats or dogs can get liver disease. She was such a joy, comfort, and love in our lives, I wish she had been able to stay longer. If you have the finances and patience to raise them, Raggys are truly a wonderful love to have in your life. They are very affectionate! I believe GOD created them to love us and snuggle with us, because we all need that in our everday. GOD GAVE HIS ONLY SON TO DIE ON THE CROSS SO ONE DAY WE CAN GO TO HEAVEN WITH HIM. PLEASE ASK HIM TO FORGIVE AND CLEANSE YOU TODAY! HIS LOVE IS OVERWHELMING!!!
Wait, my cat LOVES to be held and I was like oh, she’s just special I guess? I have PLENTY of friends that have ragdolls and they also like being held soo I don’t think the “they don’t like being held” is true but maybe it’s a coincidence.
My question is: where can you find a reputable breeder on these channels or, moreover on a specific breed channel. I’ll seriously travel anywhere in the world for a high quality oriental shorthair kitten.
Bred to be affectionate companions, ragdoll cats are ideal if you're looking for a lovable and relatively low-maintenance animal. Ragdolls are known to follow their humans from room to room, greet them after a long day out of the house, and even play games like fetch. Ragdoll cats are friendly around children and other pets, making them great family pets.
I have a mail Ragdoll he's my buddy i recently lost my female to the heart disease witch was mentioned we miss her deeply and one-day might replace her but it will take some time for our loss first i loved this video so much on the spot with there behavior. 👍
"Their gentle eyes are large and sport astonishing shades of blue. Other colors are not allowed." - 4:02 I wonder what happens to the kitties that aren't allowed?
Well done! Informative as well as enjoyable to watch!
Thanks so much 🤗 😍
I had a creme point rag doll (he was mixed with a different breed,) they were barnyard cats.
@@nancydelgado937 I'm so sorry that your big boy was stolen :( I hope that woman gets what's coming to her and that he returns to you safely.
@@nancydelgado937 i’m so sorry ur cat got stolen! i wish u the best and i hope the woman that stole ur cat gets karma for stealing him.
Ragdolls are awesomely sweet and friendly. My female lived to be 18, and I still miss her. She came in to greet anyone who walked in the door.
So sorry for your loss. He had a wonderful life
Sorry for ya
Mine loves leash walks! He toddles around, takes a nice roll in the grass and strolls along! He is only allowed out with me on the leash. No way do I let him alone outside!
I'm getting my second cat (a Ragdoll) next week. and this is heartbreaking to read. so sorry for your loss.

R.I.P ragdoll cat
My ragdoll, Mochi is empathetic too. ..so much so that even when I'm laughing really hard, she thinks I'm crying. She comes running over to console me until I'm "better". When she licks my laugh tears, it make me laugh even harder. Last night I had food poisoning and was really sick. She was SO concerned for me and stayed with me all night. I love her so much.
She was an abandoned runt and I rescued her when she was only about two weeks old, so we have an _extremely_ tight bond.
@@clicheguevara5282 Awwww....that's so sweet.
I don’t comment often but my ragdoll loves being held, goes limp when held, can be picked up by anyone, follows me relentlessly, is incredibly playful and affectionate, but is extremely unathletic. She is one of the clumsiest cats I have ever seen
Oh my goodness, my two are super clumsy as well! It's like they don't have any depth perception! It's adorable. And sometimes rather sad. Lol.
Sounds like my son 😆❤️
That’s why they are called ragdolls
This is the first time I've heard they don't like being held 😕 The description sounds more like Maine Coon??
Did Felix like to be picked up and held?
Josephine had a hard life apparently.. we appreciate you Josephine
Does your ragdoll likes cudles or prefers to just being pet?
I just adopted a ragdoll from a shelter. I also had no idea until I posted a picture of him on Facebook and people replied on him being a ragdoll. I just thought what an adorable kitten he was. So I too won the shelter lottery! Also, my last cat wandered into my life and she was a bengal kitten. So I won the lottery twice now! I can’t wait to see his personality as he gets older.
Ok
literally same I got my cat as a kitten from the shelter and they had no clue she was a ragdoll🥹
So did I--they are the best breed of cat ever
Our beautiful Ragdoll lived almost 20 years with us and we still miss his beautiful self. He was big and beautiful and sweet and loving. He loved playing fetch and loved everyone and everyone loved him too. He had the sweetest little meow for such a big boy. There will never be another like him 💙
I found an abandoned Ragdoll kitten and had him for 16 years.. the best kitty!
Did your ragdoll like cudles or prefered to just being pet?
One of the most beautiful cat breeds, Bailey the ragdoll is so pretty!
Couldn't agree more!
I have a cat named Bailey and is a ragdoll lol
Lol my cat is a ragdoll and his name is Bailey.

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ love
You made a grown man cry--it was the same for me when I lost my Felix a Ragdoll
Lorelei sounds like she was a wonderful companion. Was biting or clawing ever an issue with her?
That's what I thought? This is the first time I've heard someone say they don't like being held
Does your ragdoll likes cudles or prefers to just being pet?
I have a ragdoll and ALL OF THIS IS TRUE. They are such unique cats and you nailed their descriptions! Thank you for the video!
You are so welcome!

I love the way Raggies flop when you pick them up!,
Flop like a rag doll. Lol
Ragdolls are such wonderful cats. Our boy Boots made it to 18 1/2 years old. He was the sweetest soul I’ve ever known. I’ll miss him forever.
So sorry for your loss :(
I'm so sorry to hear that u must have been heartbroken having the cat for so long iv always had a cat but 2yrs ago I adopted pixie from a breeder she was kind enough to not take any money for her and she is just wonderful
I have one. She's supremely affectionate! She loves to sit on my lap, follow me around, kiss me, cuddle with me, etc. She also has drop dead gorgeous big blue eyes!
She acts more like a puppy than a cat. I love her.
Your cat sounds fantastic. In what way is she like a puppy?
I'd love to hear the stories.
My ragdoll can do math, he also writes fiction and is a published author, he uses the pen name Stephen King, perhaps you heard of him.
My ragdoll lived to be 24 years old. He was the sweetest cat ever.
Is there some secret to his longevity? My neva masquerade left us when he was only 14 and 8 month old. I am thinking about getting Ragdoll as they look similar but are maybe more gentle.
You must have been the best ragdoll owner ever! That is a very long life for a cat. How lucky for you.
Did your ragdoll like being picked up?
I adopted my ragdoll. He was found in a dumpster as a kitten in a plastic bag with his siblings who sadly didn't make it 😭
So sad! But I'm glad you adopted him. This is what happens when people refuse to sterilize their pets.
Thank you for saving the soul.. ❤
I love you
Thank you for saving him. I saved my baby Ozzie, I think he is a ragdoll/Maine Coon mix
mine is an adoptee too she was found preggers asking for food . the first time i saw her i fell in love. she walks right up to anyone who comes in the house, is so super friendly.

Ours is a mix. She has all the personalities of a ragdoll. Her mom is a purebred. Best cat ever. Very intelligent & s
weet.
Thank you for suggesting possible rescued cats. There are so many in need of a good, safe & loving home.
We had ours for 22 yrs. When she passed away from renal failure, I wept for 3 weeks. Though we have 2 human children, Muff was like our 3rd child.
This is so very very very accurate about ragdoll cats the flopping at your feet is so true and the constant talking and zooming.
Yes! My 4 month old ragdoll has the zooming around the house all the time, so I changed his name that I originally picked and now his official name is Zoomy!😂😻
I met a rag doll cat the other day, I've never seen such beautiful blue eyes in any creature.
My Lynx ragdoll cat Willowbee definitely is not a lap cat! He will sit close to you but rarely sleeps on you. He does go limp when you pick him up though!
I have a blue mitted lynx, 5 yeat old. He isn't a lapcat but he is always in the same room as I am. .just far enough to see me!🥰
I adopted my mitted Ragdoll from a shelter. He is the best cat I’ve ever had. Everything in this video describes my cat except my ragdoll likes being picked up but only if I hold him a certain way.
They can get pretty big. So that doesn't surprise me XD
I have a ragdoll cat. Love him!!
Awesome!
I’ve had my son, Sir Theodore Bartholomew Montoya III for a year now and I highly recommend this breed. I’m a dog person, but Ragdolls are truly wonderful animals.
Update: Unfortunately, Theodore has tragically passed away.
I am also a dog person and I am curious about ragdoll personality. Does your ragdoll like to be picked up and held?
@@christophercoon1716unfortunately he passed away a couple days ago, but yes he enjoyed being held for short periods of time
I have a mink, she is ridiculously soft and cuddly🥰
@@jes6161 they are the best!
I just bought a Mink no way!
@@thepeach03 congrats!!
Glad Josephine survived. 💖 Very beautiful cats.
So happy for both of you!
Could be a ragamuffin! ❤️
I’ve got a ragdoll baby! She’s the sweetest cat I’ve ever met.
Does your ragdoll likes cudles or prefers to just being pet?
My ragdoll is about to be 2. He loves to be near me but not on top, HATES closed doors, and follows me everywhere. He also travels with me and does good at the beach and rivers.
That's so sweet :)
Thanks so much for sharing this! Ragdolls are SO cute!
I found my rag doll Sinatra at a shelter and they really are the best cats-affectionate, chill, beautiful and will follow you like a puppy!
Never get a ragdoll. He'll steal your heart.
Purrfect comment.
I got my Ragdoll girl for 90 bucks from my local shelter. Best cat I’ve ever had.
I had my cat for 3 years before I knew he was a ragdoll.. he is the biggest cat I have ever had..follows me every where.
Lol :)). Thanks for sharing it!

My baby boy, Beanie is the sweetest best good boy. I'll never want any cats other than ragdolls now
We have a 6 month old rd, her hearing is so acute i was shocked.
LMAO bruh that's hilarious. But it shows how intelligent your cat is too. Cause it associates that sound with playtime
Really pretty lovely cats they are one of the best breeds, I think!!!!

Weekly brushing!? My Russian Blue, according to her, needs to be brushed a couple of times a day.

I wonder what happens to the kitties that aren't allowed?

Ann Baker is my spirit animal. I'd go crazy over cats, too.
IBD (aka ibs) is a common condition for ragdolls. As common as 1 in 5.. Specific vet prescription diets can manage it.
