With the hose, you can buy two of them for the price of the Uber flex. Put a quick disconnect in between them and then you don’t always have to use a cumbersome 50 foot hose.
One thing people don’t talk about the UberFlex is how easily it’s breaks/pierces. I used one for 3 months and it randomly had a hole one day. For a couple bucks more id go for the Flexzilla.

I recently purchased a MEKOH hose on Amazon, it's similar to the HF model but a step up. It's 32 feet long and has the same connection point as the UberFlex hose. I really love it.
That stubby gun is exactly what I've been waiting for. Huge improvement. I always lock the gun on to force air out of the lines before I power on the pressure washer. Before, I had to use a strap. I also got the extensions, with last weekend's 30% coupon, but gladly paid full price for the gun.
They are awesome! I bought the HF 2,300 PSI electric washer with the concrete cleaning attachment (the double jet spinning one) BUT I didn't buy the extension kit. Went back and got the extension kit and it's perfect for me. I use the included long wand with the straight extension on the concrete cleaner and it works great! Perfect height for my 6'1" body. Then I take off the straight extension and use the curved one with the orbital tip and it'll clean up the parts that the concrete spinner missed and with the orbital action and the pressure - it's easy to keep this whole set up hovering off the ground at the perfect height while it does it's work.

I got the wand extensions about a month ago from my local store. I think it was when they first came out, but I still was able to use one of their discounts (I think it was 10% or 15% at the time). I think they're great for the price, and I haven't had any issues with them.
I have the same problem with the active pw and Uber flex hose. I can see it swell and relax when surging. When I use original hose no issue. Definitely the hose
I own the vacuum accessory pack cause of your video, thank you I love it. I vacuumed a very dirty tractor yesterday and didn't have to put the vacuum in the tractor. this video probably has me getting these... totally agree with the hose length
So i already own a 50-footer hose, and i love it, but sometimes, for a small quick job, i can find it a bit too much, so that 25-footer might do the trick imo. Also, those extensions look very helpful while washing my work rig. Thanks for the video!
Thanks for sharing. That hose looks much nicer than my 50' Uberflex, which I feel kinks and refuses to roll up smoothly. I'll have to pick up that gun the next time I have an applicable coupon.
My uberflex kinks up and is a pain to deal with and roll up. This hose looks amazing. I had to stretch my uberflex hose out and put weights at either end because it wanted to keep it's circled up shape from the box it came in. Was such a pain.
Just picked up the stubby gun and extensions this week and received mt 50' uberflex hose no joke this stuff works great together along with the ryobi 1800 pressure washer love the setup!!!!
Thanks for the video Josh. I never thought about using the extension wands, but there's many times during a vehicle wash that the stubby gun doesn't reach areas quite as well as a wand would and these look like a great option. Keep up the awesome work.
I think I'll pick up everything n have it as a backup. It does suck that the hose is 25 feet. I picked up the blackmax 35-foot hose from Walmart based on your recommendation. I just checked n they don't sell it anymore. Thank you for your videos. I always learn a little something from these.
The uber flex is 100 bucks for 50ft in Australia that's wild, and Americans think their cost of living is bad lmao we pay double for most things 😂 love your videos you and Pan are the only guys I watch for this stuff!
Have you seen the Essentials Washer blue gun? That’s what I bought, bought one last year on Josh’s Black Friday deal. It’s been great, paired with a blue Uberflex. Thanks Josh for making me upgrade!
I just bought the wands. I put them together to do a high deck and get the outside of the railings from ground. It was decent but a little hard to see was my thing. Siding would be easier for sure. They work fine though for the price 👍🏼
I just wanted to say that I really enjoy your channel. I have made several purchases based on your reviews! I have bought the Harbor Fright stubby gun and extensions, Uberflex 50' hose and others. I have a Harbor Fright just a few miles from home, but I never knew they had car detailing supplies until I started watching your channel. Thanks and keep up the good work! Oh yeah, I'm on the spectrum and I really like having all the stuff in blue, even the MJJC foam cannon, I wish the Flexilla came in blue! LOL
Find a local hose shop they'll build you whatever length you want but your limiter will be that pressure washer the pump doesn't have enough head to push much further than 25' at a PSI that will clean anything.
I almost bought a pressure washer on sale there but they said 20% restocking fee so I went with Costco Greenworks. Especially important since there was nothing to say if it was an always-running motor design or trigger-on. Always-running would be a deal-breaker for me
I’ve also noticed HF has raised their prices on the detailing items when they got popular :/ I don’t mind waiting for a coupon tho usually they have some store wide and those work
Picked up the stubby sprayer today and the extension wands because of your review! Love them both, thanks! Passed on the hose though because I definitely want the 50ft uberflex.
I do like the idea of getting two 25 ft hoses and connecting them together. Sometimes you don't need a 50 ft hose and you don't have to spend as much replacing the hose if one springs a leak. Nice thing about Harbor Freight is they're always running some kind of coupon. Inside Track members can buy the extensions for $9.99 right now.
Until I can buy a new one, right now I have a SUN-JOE my wife picked up for my birthday or Christmas one year and I tried to purchase a new non-kink hose but it was not the right connection on the one side. Do you recommend any non kink hoses for the Sun-Joe?
Hi Josh. Thank you for this video. Love the quick connects and like you, I have an Uberflex hose. I was wondering what brand of steel braided hoses do you reccommend? I have the same surging propblem as well.
I thought about either the 25ft HF hose or the 30ft red uberflex on amz (50ft too long for my needs). Ended up going with the Hart 35ft hose at walmart after seeing a recommendation on it. It's actually a ProPulse Uberflex hose, stamped on the hose itself so perfect length for me retails at $38
I’m gonna have to try the stubby gun. I love my MTM, but it doesn’t have a swivel or trigger lock. I think any pressure washer hose less than 50ft is worthless, not sure where they thought that was acceptable.
Were you able to fix your minor leaking issue on the swivel? I had the exact same issue when first using the set up today. Does extra teflon help alleviate that issue?
Josh, can you do a review on the Ryobi 40V 1200 PSI 1.0 GPM Cordless Electric Cold Water Pressure Washer? I realize it might be a little underpowered but curious if it is enough to adequately/reasonably foam a car.
I'm having tons of issues with my Uberflex, stays coiled and figure 8 tangled up inside itself. no matter what I do it always snake coils back up on itself. about to give up on that brand.
The lock-open feature is something all stubby nozzles should have. Useful for when you’re draining the water out of your hoses, since water and air won’t flow through a QD with nothing connected to it.
I have the 35' Black Max now called Heart from Wal-Mart which has the same patent as the Uber flex that I bought because of this channel's review and love it because 50' is too much and 25' is not enough
The stubby gun is pretty good for the price, bad thing is that the tip isn't made of stainless steel so it will oxidize qickly. The lock for holding the trigger is pretty neat too, I don't see that on many guns tbh
I'll be using my first pressure washer system this weekend, but I'm curious why it would be a bad idea to leave the machine between the front and back door area? Is the pressure washer heavy and is that why it's difficult to move the unit or is it just convenience?
I have an Uberflex from Amazon. It works great but did encounter a problem with it. We had an extremely hot humid summer this year and I store my power washer and Uberflex hose in a shed. Parts of the hose melted and stuck together. I feel like the parts of the hose that melted together are now compromised when under pressure. I’m afraid it made bust when I’m using it.
The mckillans is a rip off. You used to be able to get the old mckillans for $35 w/ swivel. They just keep jacking the price up and their new one for $100 or $75 early bird is a legit rip off.

What is the Quick Connect adapter will work for this pressure washer and Uberflex hose and this stubby spray gun?. Will this quick connects that you have on the link works for my pressure washer and Uberflex hose, Thanks Josh!
we built a shed thats 16x24ft. pretty big like a house. all we used is harbor freight tools. plus my dad is a civil engineer, he chooses harbor freight just because its cheap and its all you need.
Josh you are the bomb. I got my hose from Walmart branded 30' that is uberflex. This gun I am buying tomorrow, from HF did not know it had the swivel. With the coupons this is a steal.
@imjoshv in your Professional opinion, what would you consider to be the best electric power Washer to purchase with the most PSI if possible. And for normal use such as driveway, fencing, garage doors car And house. There's just too many options and i'm not really sure.
OK very cool vid....love it!! Thanks!! Am I wrong in my perceptions here? It seems to me like you really love the hose construction but not so much the length. Which you said numerous times. However you spent so much time talking about the hose that you seem MORE impressed with that than the stubby gun. BUT here's where it gets confusing to me. In your past vids that I've seen, this gun seems to check every box for you. It has a built in swivel, stubby, trigger lock for storage, trigger lock while in use with a squeeze release. Handles high pressure. BUT you seemed to spend more time on the hose than the gun giving me the impression you were more impressed with the hose than the gun. Am I wrong here?? Also would love to hear your experience with a whole HF build. The 2,300 electric pressure washer, the new hose, the included wand and new stubby gun, the extensions, the additional tips package (not just the few that come with the 2,300), the foam cannon and their concrete attachment. I'd like to hear your take on all these working together, what you would change to improve the system, how it rates for home use, how it rates for commercial use and all that and most importantly if you would recommend that build to someone just getting started in pressure washing or if there are better options out there.....I mean their hassle free, life time warranty on certain things is attractive. Not sure how much of these components would be covered by that. Anyways - love the channel. Keep up the great work.
Thanks for the video. Got them all. Used the 20% daily deals to pick up each one since I have an HF about 7 mins from my home. Had some harbor freight money so I ended up getting the hose for $11. Now just looking for some quick connects. Any recommendations?
I have an active ve52 with a 35ft uberflex. I have no problems with surging. My washer/dryer/ac may make the lights dim but not the active and never tripped a breaker I think I read it’s mainly the 50ft that might do that.
@@nickydexgg4579 I recommend you switch to a single wire hose like Active recommends. I also own an Active VE52 and used it with a 50' Uberflex hose. Mine also surged a little, then it started to surge a little more often until the stop system no longer worked. When the stop system goes, the pump dies pretty fast afterwards and you're left with a $200 brick. It wasn't a leak, I plugged the same hose and gun into my new PW, it can sit for hours and won't cycle.
I like the idea of the extentions because I bought the McGuires stubby nozzle with a quick connect to an Uberflex and finally my Husqvarna PW-2000 electric washer. Could you recommend a good hose reel that I could attach to the PW cart?
Hey man thanks for your video. Im also based in San Diego and im starting my mobile car detailing business soon i just wanted to ask for any advice u might have for someone starting out!
Hey dude, subscribed and liked. Appreciate the effort, have watched several vids BUT! you concentrate on the thickness of foam and I haven't seen in the reviews whether the different foams actually clean the surface which is as or more important than how thick the foam is.
My opinions. When it is in stock you can get the 12 gal Vacmaster from Wayfair for $99.50 plus you can get another 10% off if you sign up. This is the best shop vacuum out there. The Black Max pw hose at Walmart is the Uberflex and is 35' and costs $38. I own it and it never kinks. IMO you cannot beat the long throw Bauer polisher and you can add a 5" Rupes backing plate with no mods (vibrates less). I would buy the Rupes pads as well. I would change the Bauer long throw grease with lithium or Lucas Red and Tacky grease. Makes it quieter. As far as a short PW gun you cannot beat the Ridge PW gun rated for 12gpm and 5K psi and costs $31. As far as a blower for removing water from the car, the Hyper Tough 7amp from Walmart is $29. Used it for a few and works just fine.
Just so everyone here knows. The uberflex hose is ok. Just ok. It’s not some worldly hose. It’s heavy when under pressure. The coating on the hose is not really durable. It doesn’t kink, but if you have it on a reel it has a ton of memory. Meaning it will lay on the ground in the shape it comes off the real. I actually am looking into the flexzilla or other pressure washer hoses because the uberflex has been so average. Also, companies like active do not recommend using uberflex type hoses. They recommend using there hose to the desired pressure.
@@traviscrown9189 I don’t understand, because you mentioned that it’s an ok of a product. When it’s the same thing, wouldn’t you want to go for a better brand? Like KobraJet?
Josh quick question I want to build a pressure washing cart for detailing I'm thinking about getting the active 2.3 I really want the AR blue but I don't have 20 amp circuit do you think a 75 ft hose reel would be too excessive to go around a car or is a 50 ft hose reel better?

I have the Ridge Washer stubby and I love it. The price makes this Harbor Freight even better
My washer/dryer/ac may make the lights dim but not the active and never tripped a breaker
I think I read it’s mainly the 50ft that might do that.
The VE52 I have surges with a 50' Uberflex, but it really doesn't bother me.
Can you compare the Ridge (and the HF) to the McKillans swivel (the 60$ one)
Thanks Josh great info!! Have a great weekend!!!
I would love to see the gun taken apart and internals compared to the ridge gun.
I like the idea of the extentions because I bought the McGuires stubby nozzle with a quick connect to an Uberflex and finally my Husqvarna PW-2000 electric washer.
Could you recommend a good hose reel that I could attach to the PW cart?
Will these work with their harbor freight pressure washer? The green cheap one?
Hey man thanks for your video. Im also based in San Diego and im starting my mobile car detailing business soon i just wanted to ask for any advice u might have for someone starting out!
Those wand extensions are priced right, wait for HF coupon sale under $20 items
Yes! Thank you for this video. I have a SunJoe, and I've been waiting for a stubby.
Great video love the wand and the add-ons love my uberflex but I love the black max (uberflex)35 foot from Walmart when I don't need the 50 footer
Hey dude, subscribed and liked. Appreciate the effort, have watched several vids BUT! you concentrate on the thickness of foam and I haven't seen in the reviews whether the different foams actually clean the surface which is as or more important than how thick the foam is.
100% agree on hose length. same probalmne even with midsize suv.
will that hose work on the H. Freight Portland ?
I’m about to head there myself. No lie, I’m in love with Harbor Freight!!
@imjoshv3 seriously?!?
100%. I hate the memory that my uberflex hose has after uncoiling it.
@@ExodusFX it’s the worst. Gets all caught under the car. Sucks reeling it back up. Josh must get special hoses from uberflex.
Bud you understand that flexzilla is under the uberflex patent…
@@Kuya_Shawn that’s why my comment says im looking into it.
@@traviscrown9189 I don’t understand, because you mentioned that it’s an ok of a product. When it’s the same thing, wouldn’t you want to go for a better brand? Like KobraJet?
Great looking truck in background
do you know what fitting i need for the uberflex hose with sunjoe spx3001?
Josh quick question I want to build a pressure washing cart for detailing I'm thinking about getting the active 2.3 I really want the AR blue but I don't have 20 amp circuit do you think a 75 ft hose reel would be too excessive to go around a car or is a 50 ft hose reel better?
@imjoshv3 do you need my email? Or contact
