Jonathan Cane was the musical brains behind that band. Imagine if Baby’s stayed together how many Journey songs would have Nvr been.
whoever played the sleazy manager is PERFECT. His expression getting her to sign in blood. that is some serious method acting shit. bravo
This was a regular for at least a year on the then-new MTV. I remember it never became a huge hit, but was still well-known. Loved finding it again! 😊
Listening on John's birthday, July 4th in 2020.
One of the greatest coming of age movies from the 80’s and this soundtrack is just flat out great from top to bottom played it on cassette non stop !
John remains The Voice...from here to eternity, muy logrado Cetro.
Holly Knight was a really good song writer. John did a great arrangement of this tune!
VISION QUEST!!! Best hero movie of the 80’s
Yes... Just heard John Waite, Rick Springfield & Men at work are touring together... Should be a Great show .
I was in Africa in 1983 trying to get out under some dire circumstances and this song was playing. It is burned into my brain forever...once upon a time
I remember seeing him on his solo tour promoting this album and song in the summer of 82 in a small bar in Memphis. It was just amazing seeing him sing this song and all of the Baby’s hits that I love in such a small setting. 38 years ago.....wow!
I was born in '92 , but damn, I want to build a time machine and go back in the 80s . Looks sooo good and the music was amazing 😍
It was SO amazing!! We even know it then! Actually we knew the 80s was the top and no decade would top it after that.
This song is pure magic. So bittersweet. It brings me to the brink of tears every time i hear it, but at the same time it's so uplifting and inspiring. The 80s was the greatest era of music the world has or will ever know. Anyone who denies that truth just simply wasn't there to know.
An overlooked classic...
Very catchy tune! These are what you call real songs from real times in the 80s everybody. Thank you John Wait for part of fabulous times of music then!!
I Love This Song
John Waite is extremely underrated . He's extraordinary 😅.
Just turned 62 & retired but i will never retire from the 80s,NEVER😅
Patty Smythe from Scandal sings background vocals in this song.
New facto to add to my collection, thank you!
Wow! I love both of their voices but I never knew this! Thank you kindly!
I never knew that!!! Love her.
Never knew that, I love her voice…I do know she was offered the gig with Van Halen after Roth left. I would’ve loved to hear what she would of sounded like with V/H, I’m sure it would’ve been amazing.
Hence the magical tone! Awesome musical tidbit you shared there!
