I have RA & I suspect Sjogrens- best thing I did to manage symptoms is go gluten-free (occasional slip up) & radically increase fruit & veg & reduce animal products (especially processed)- it’s made a big difference to the fatigue & swelling- diet does matter. all of the above changes came as I began seeking the Lord✝️ put your trust in Jesus.

I need you as my Rheumatologist, please🤗 I haven't had an acceptable Rheumatologist for several years . When I found your video on youtube I was astounded by your understanding and ability to explain so many aspects of RA with other autoimmune diseases. I was diagnosed with RA around 30 years ago. My mother had RA, passed away at 61 years old. I was 23.
During , visits with my mother's Rheumatologist , and my own , none of the doctors ever told us how to feel better, never was food and diet discussed. You are a True Rheumatologist that hasn't ever stopped looking for a cure. Thank you.

I was told I had fibro, bursitus, menopause symptoms for 7 years. My GP would not do anything since my RA factor then was 0. It got so bad I could not use stairs, change diapers, open jars. I got so bad I made him refer me to rheumatology. By then my RA factor was over 600 and I also had palindromic RA. 20 years plus with RA, now my joints are damaged. I eat an animal based diet now and it helps. As far as eye care, I use restasis and see my eye doc 2x year. That is very important.

@@rheumatologistoncall thanks for mentioning this too - I’ve put in a request with my primary to see a teaching hospital’s rheumatologist who specializes in seronegative. I’m afraid the myriad of diagnoses has me jaded and I don’t know who is actually correct. I don’t know who to trust.
I have bilateral elbows, hands, knee pain. I have the ring issue but not much swelling otherwise. Even with a positive ANA (1:320), my RF tanked to abound 4, and with negative SSA/SSB, it’s time for one more opinion. After several years of having IBD, my current rheumatologist feels it’s SS, not RA and I do have the textbook dryness, but if my joint pain is RA, we are wasting time while my joints are paying the price. I know it could be both, but I have to know if RA is there. I did have a radiologist say there was evidence within a joint where some synovial fluid discrepancy of my right middle finger but allegedly, it’s not showing up now, 3 years later(?).
Thanks for all you do to help educate us out here!

Wow, I have several of these symptoms and have had for at least a year now, but my GP dismissed RA due to blood test results. I've seen eye doc and diagnoses with dry eye and have had almoat constant red eyes, referred to hand surgeon for trigger finger that has now just become a constant swollen warm stiff painful thumb, and now almost can't sleep because tingling numb painful hands almost has me crazy! Doc did refer me for MRI but could not afford at the time. I've got to get to a specialist soon. Something isn't right.

Can you describe arthritic conditions that are genetic? And show more photos of what you mean by certain symptoms or expressions of disease. More importantly, can you include what tests and things are done to diagnose these diseases? Bc I often go to doctors and have to make a choice between different tests or ask for certain ones esp if they don’t have the illness in mind that I do- ie RA vs “just” chronic pain or fibromyalgia etc… Thx!

My life has crumbled with inadequate treatment (due to lockdowns at first). After lengthy prednisone, I''m now on hydroxychoriquine (not working) and looking forward to Methodextrate (in CA we have to undergo a system of treatments......) Always itching and it doesn’t go away until I sleep. With continuous meditation I was able to subside the symptoms. Now after 2 years I started getting swelling again. My blood works show I have inflammation but my RA test is negative. My doctor suggests it might not be RA but vitamin D deficiency.

I’m prescribed Ritalin for a more break thru/short acting medicine mlm(3-4 hrs) when I need it, and a long acting med commonly used for add as well; which both help me SO MUCH- with energy, alertness, and focus, as well… but I can’t remember the name right now; my but my psych prescribed it for energy & alertness while I battle chronic back pain and wait for a diagnosis on the other probs I have. Adderall actually has research to back up that it has a pain relief benefit- so I usually take that instead of the Ritalin, but the adderall is 2x as strong as Ritalin and makes me feel a little “cracked out” when I take it however the other meds don’t make me feel anything more than what a coffee does; but they also don’t have this off label use behind them. There’s other options, this is just what has worked for me and helped me actively do the things I need to in life or feel more motivated. Stay well.

I'm on my journey to taking care of myself diagnosed with RA. Believe me I am at 62 I'm not going to let this beat me God tells us we are more than conquerors change a diet stretching exercise. Your diet now has to be all natural foods. And I have researched many of people have told me they have been on arthritis medication for years and none of it works. I will not be taking any of. I believe I'm healed taking care of yourself. Your body.

Hi doctor , I have left thump mcp joint hurts a lot and some days pains goes away , also started noticing pain in right foot especially heel not a super painful but could feel it when I wake up and sometime in my sleep .. fatigue is there since my symptoms started in feb , my gp did some inflammation tests and said it’s not RA or PSA, I have dry eyes and occasionally chest pain goes and comes in noticeable, I started having pimples like things here and there in my head and Gp said it’s bcz of too much stress .. I am not sure if Iam making the simple things complicated or do I really have an issue .. none of the x rays shows on my thump has any inflammation or weird structure.. your advice will be highly appreciated. My RF is negative, but my anti-ccp is very high. I was on everything, including TNF meds. MY rheumy left and I got a new one. She told me my joints weren't swollen enough to cause me pain. My pain is very real to me. She said I didn't need any meds, so I haven't been on anything for 2 years. She just wanted to observe me. I have 2 brothers with RA and they have never experienced this kind of care. Is it normal to not treat RA and just observe it? Thank you
