    Hey Ryan - great job with the video! I've never watched one of these how-to-wrap videos all the way through before. But you did an excellent job of speeding up the tedious bits so we don't get bored, while still showing just enough that we get a good idea of what you are doing. I also love the bright lighting and clean background. And of course...I love the cars!
    I haven't wrapped a car outside myself. But I put red vinyl on my center console, and...well, I admire your patience. I don't seem to have enough.

    Clearly, your skills in applying wraps or a ppf are way higher than an average Joe trying this for the first time. It is so easy to mess this up beyond repair, but you have the finess and the delicate touch. Well done!

    I would never do a wrap job myself. Any DIY job looks cheap. Always hire a pro like this dude. Especially on a relatively expensive car like Tesla. Great job!

    serious question: why pay the extra money for the midnight paint on model y just to cover it with a different color?

      White is a difficult color to wrap and Tesla wasn't delivering Black yet.

    I’ve seen a ton of model Y’s on TH-cam. The orange is by far the nicest color combo I’ve seen. It doesn’t even look like the same car compared to other Y’s. I typically hate the black interior but with the orange accent color on the console it looks stunning. I would cover up that ugly psuedo wood with carbon fiber or maybe even more orange.
    You are motivating me to try a wrap myself. I'm putting mine on Turo though and I would hate for someone to ruin the wrap if I couldn't get compensated to rewrap it.

    • @KLWTTS
      @KLWTTS  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It really depends how you much Vinyl you scrap. For the Model Y I purchased a roll of 5 ft by 75ft for $620 and used ⅔ of it. For the Xpel Stealth PPF the complete car precut kit cost me about $5000 but cheaper kits exist from other brands

    • @KLWTTS
      @KLWTTS  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Anything on the paint will be locked in so if the paint is clear of debris, and is not damaged during the wrap process, it's a great way to prevent microscratches

    You are comparing 2 different things. One is a wrap to change color, one is actual paint protection film which is twice as thick, maybe more. The red vinyl may last 5 years. The paint protection will last at least 10. So these 2 films serve 2 different purposes. Luckily, there are companies coming out with colored paint protectin film now so it will solve this problem.

    Couple - 2 days
    Few - 3 to 4 days
    Several - 5 to 7 days
    You're welcome
    Also the 3M wrap still counts as protection. It is covering the original paint job so yes...PROTECTION.
    Love the color though. Nice choice.
