Story Summary :-
Op is Indian married to a British guy. Op's MIL is super racist and belittles Op whenever she can, but she crosses the line where she asks Op not to have kids. She asks her son to opt for traditional surrogacy. When Op and her husband refuse, the MIL drops at their house and uses another method. Op and her husband are wealthy enough to have servants, so the MIL gives OP birth control pills mixed in her juice in the morning. Later, Op feels that after trying many times, she is not getting pregnant, so she decides to consult her doctor. But on the day of the appointment, she sees that her MIL is mixing some medication in Op's juice. OP plans to find out about the pills as she checks her MIL's room and finally finds the pills. She gets to know they are birth control pills. Op goes to her doctor,
who is also a good friend of Op, and asks her to create a false report suggesting that Op can't produce eggs any longer. Op shows that to her MIL and tells her that she and her husband will opt for traditional surrogacy now. The MIL, feeling assured, now returns to her own husband and house. Months later, MIL has a silver anniversary where Op reveals in front of everyone that she is going to give birth to twins. MIL is angry, and she starts calling Op names there. Later, she gets a warning from the FIL that if she continues to be a racist, then he'll divorce her. Right OP and her husband have cut off from her MIL; she is not even allowed to see her grandchildren.

I dont understand not firing the maid. She did it once she will do it again. Also, giving people pills without permission is a crime for the mom and the maid.
It truly depends on the situation with the maid. For example, you have fantastic blackmail on her she can never disobey you again or else, or you can hire a new person and hope they have more brain cells in the last one.Fat chance If the crazy MIL has enough money you can expect it to happen again. Sometimes you’re better off with the devil you’ve caught red-handed.
and she might be keeping her to be double agent or at least trying to make MIL in the dark. she might not want to somehow tip her off that they knew her scheme. god knows what other hideous plan will be hatched if they actually fired her and MIL catch the wind.
Thank goodness op is having a healthy pregnancy. Keep the mil away because you don’t want something to happen to the babies. I don’t think op’s in-laws marriage will last much longer.
My ex Mil was the same way. I'm mixed 24:39 she was so proud of her family coming over on the mayflower. I told her the mayflower wS a penal ship. What crimes did they commit? 😅😅😅 when our daughter was born, her 1st question was "How dark is it?" It? She got worse from there. I insisted we move accross country to get away from her. Life was much easier with her in NYC and us in Denver.

When someone has to apologize for not being able to keep their SO in check, that ain't a marriage, that second parenthood for the logical member of the marriage and totally not fair.
A leopard only changes it's spots when it wants or needs to, a racist will always be a racist until it costs them something they value. Friends, family, status in her community and jail, otherwise they will keep seeing the world the way they want to and not alter their behavior.

What if Lily put herself on the list of women who donate their eggs and become a surrogate mother? I'm pretty sure that a woman can carry a baby for another woman, but Lily just won't be able to become pregnant naturally because of her age.
It is also illegal to give medications to someone without their consent is a crime, especially prescriptions because everyone's body is different physically and mentally. Lily is definitely not going to change and I would have to say that it was the way she was raised. Hate is something that the child learns over time from their caregiver(s) and not a trait or genetic that they are born with.
I am glad that OP got pregnant with twins and very ecstatic. I hope that they will continue to grow their family. By the way, is OP going to have the twins in February 2024? Sad that Lily had to be cut off from the family, but since OP's FIL is kind, humble, and caring they should let him see the twins both in person, on video call, and/or photos so that he does not miss all the fun!
There are no ways Lily will change. So, I'm not sure if Lily and FIL will make it to their 31st anniversary. If they don't, it is 100% Lily's fault.

Nothing worse than a racist Karen. That's what MiL is given how she continued her vile actions despite her son telling her off and stopped visiting. More than likely she saw op as the problem and not herself. I wouldn't be surprised if she blamed op for being kept on a leash during the wedding and had hatred boiling inside. Update, Karens can get psycho when they don't get their way. Update 2, why am I not surprised that Karen saw a chance to try to force her will to have a "white" baby after the confrontation 🤦. I wouldn't put it past her to try to get a "white" girl with her son and get op out of the picture. Of course once demanded why an egg donor Karen finally says what her true motivations were. People like her are pathetic and disgusting. Typical that she blames op for her relationship with her son being ruined when she did it herself. And she's apparently stuck where racism was a huge thing to think that she would be mocked and can't "allow" to have a non "white" grandchild. Typical that she apologizes to her son but not to op🤦. Update 3, of course she goes crying to her husband when her son keeps turning her away. Typical that once Karen sees that her grandbaby isn't being born her way she shows her true colors to everyone. I wouldn't put it past her to try to terminate the baby before it was born and once more try to force her will. It's on her that she may lose her marriage and son. If MIL is going through Op's purse and bedroom night table she's probably trying to see if Op is on birth control so MIL don't have to worry if Op will give her a black baby. Which is none of her business! If and when Op and her husband decide to have children they would be a blessing from God. MIL needs to respect Op's privacy and stay out of Op's closet, nightstand and medicine cabinet.

Wow it is fortunate OP didn’t go to the police about the lily juice spiking. If OP had had an accident or gone to hospital in an emergency and asked what meds she was on then was given something that reacted to the pill in the juice it could have been disastrous.
They are better off without that evil witch.
What if OP had been a smoker or had blood pressure issues? Birth control can cause strokes.

@@PubRunner no, I'm just a sister who lost her twin because no one told her about the risks of smoking while on the pill. She left behind a husband and two young children. I had already been done having kids and had a hysterectomy. I hope your soap box crumbles underneath you.
@@GoddessDivso sorry to hear that and condolences for your loss (I may have missed your point) but still OP had none of those issues and what MIL did was flat out dangerous (I think we both can agree on that) and should be charged. I would certainly get the police involved and make she MIL did jail time.

OP NTA, both of you been blessed with a wonderful father/FIL. I would never allow so mother near my kids. She is racist and abusive. After going through the extent of demanding a white gorgeous surrogate, is clear the children will never be accepted. Please, don’t go back on your word as your children need to be protected from her at all times. Sorry it has to be this way. 😢

Check with your doctor, they reccomend waiting 3 months after ending your birth control, before trying to get pregnant. You hormone levels would not be normalized yet, in that time. This can cause problems. Enjoy your twins.
My cousin's MIL suggested waiting to have a baby, but she also told her daughter the same thing. Wait, take a couple of vacations to foreign countries and enjoy your marriage for 2-3 years. Then, when you do start trying for a baby, plan so you're not heavily pregnant during the hottest part of summer.
After three pregnancies, I would agree with that. My last pregnancy, my baby was born in early October and that summer was difficult. But it wasn't a pregnancy I planned, and the thought of trying to plan your pregnancies around summer is kind of amusing.

I would have taken that juice to the doctor's and gotten an official report to sue. Fire the maid, and tell the hubby that for ducking with my body in such a way he has to make a choice. Me or his mother. And file a restraining order. Also gotten the maid to show me the financial statements proving the bribes.
First of all fire that maid because you hired her and you trusted her and she betrayed your trust for money. Fire her immediately! Also tell your husband. Keep your distance from your MIL.

Does she not get it? The only native americans are the indians and the mexicans. Whites are not superior at all, they ALL are products of immigrant ancestors, from the Mayflower on down. If anybody should go home it's them, but are they from only one white ethnicity at all, do they even know where they are from? My white ancestry ranges far and wide, from Russia to Ireland as far as I know. A lot of them should be ashamed of how people were treated, on their families heads, nobody is squeaky clean. You are her equal whether she likes it or not, but you are much more logical and sane than her choices and actions are proving her to be. Keep an eye on her, she's dangerous, but you don't need her in your lives.

Whelp. OP should not have skipped Biology class. The Pill prevents "cycles" from occurring there is no Conceivable way a woman on birth control would not realize on the first late cycle that something was up, let alone 3-4. Let alone a doctor.
