Hi Vandana, unfortunately I don’t have the simbasana box. 🙁Here is an explanation for you. Its a great tool for virasana as it gives added height.
Depending on how much height you need, either sit on blankets or on the floor with your feet to each side of the box, like in virasana On the curve you can add a bolster or blankets to support yourself as needed. Always in Iyengar when using props we must adjust according to our body. Try different things. Make sure the head is supported and relaxed while the neck is lengthened.
Hope this helps your understanding. ♥️♥️

I have a torn meniscus in my left knee, so I ussually change the height of the support on each leg.
Dou you think it is correct? Or maybe would be better to keep the same height for both sides.
Thank you very much. I enjoy your videos.

Hi Jose, best to keep the same height for both legs to create the best balanced position and movements. Otherwise you will feel the pelvis lower on one side. That is your first point of reference. Keep the thighs and knees level by adding a blanket. The side with the tear, raise to the level of the other leg. Also you can use a strap behind the knee, pulling to the inside knee to create more space. All my best and let me know how you do. Namaste, ❤️❤️
