Hi Ma'am, I am an intermediate level iyengar yoga student and I have been following your videos from past one month. I would like to thank you for such a great way of teaching and explaining the significance of asanas.
Thanks Kathy for such informational and mindful yoga vedios. This is what was needed in my yoga practice.. just a little bit more precision, acknowledgement of what I was doing on my own just by reading Gurujis books was right!! Thanks a lot
Wonderful to hear from you! Yes, Guruji books always ask us to listen to our body and understand what we are experience. Let this direction be your guide. And of course having a guide is important to progress. Namaste
I am so grateful for all these videos you share. I am living in Shanghai and have been quarantined for 2 weeks now (could be another month), these classes have been a gift to allow the practice to continue and deepen while stuck at home. A heartfelt thank you for your service.
I am happy to bring you some support and relief. You all are our heroes! Stay with your practice and this will continue to guide you even in the darkest of times. Much love xx
Thanks Kathy for one more amazing class! I would like to see an advanced twists class if possible in future. Really enjoy practicing under your guidance.
I`m interested in the measurements of the wooden blocks - could i have them in centimeters ? I`m carpenter and want to do equal ones for my practise - i enjoy and like your teaching very much.
Hi Gerard, Yes the block are sturdy and help in so many ways. BKS Iyengar recommended 22.5 x 11 x 7.5 cm Of course you can make a bit wider depending on your size and needs. Depending on the wood they will vary on weight. Say 1.5-2.5 LBS Mine are teak which are very heavy. Go with a sturdy solid local wood for the best experience. I prefer to round the edges slightly so no hard corners. Enjoy!
Thanks very much - yours look a bit wider than 7,5 and i think i`ll follow that style and do one cm more - the measure is similar to the classical german brick which is 24 x 11 x 7,1 ... again thanks for the measures and for sharing your work and teaching here in youtube. @@DesaYogiIyengarYoga
Reply from my admin. We have checked. “he has to be able to transact in other currency to pay.” Is there some other way to pay? All my best. Have an idea, I have an Indian friend that may be able to accept. So if I give you and Indian account you can buy? Let me know and will investigate further for you. 🙏🏻
