Are you sure it will get cooked before the precooked bread gets burnt…? How long will it take and you didn’t show how grilled it, was it on the stove or in the oven or on barbecue grill ??

Yes it will cook before the bread burns as the steam cookthe meat on the inside best way to do that is to check the temp of your meat
Also I put it on the grill not to hot and pressed them down also making sure to grill the top as well this helps try not to use a very thick bread also you can use a sandwich grill if it’s easier
