Thanks for the review! I just got this monitor a few days ago and so far it really exceeded my expectations. It's my first 1440p monitor and I'm blown away by the clarity and crispness of the image. Coming from an 6 year old fullhd 72hz VA panel the difference is quite big. The colors seem very vivid and rich yet it is also able to convey very subtle differences between similar shades of color. The motion clarity is good so that everything feels immediate and smooth. As some people already said aswell, to me it seems to have very deep blacks and great contrast for it being an IPS panel. All in all I'm really glad I got this one.

This is the cheapest IPS 27 inch 1440p high refresh monitor in my country at a whopping 394 USD. It sucks not having USA prices. Great review. Thanks! How does this compare to the Alienware AW2724DM? Is the Alienware worth the $300 plus over the Dell for a triple setup for sim racing?
What would you recommend out of Alienware aw2724dm and this dell, because where i am from in Europe the dell model is 380e and Alienware is 500e ? It is ridiculous how much more they are in price. But even if you told me look at other monitors, every single one is overpriced when compared to USA and original pricing
Dell UK had this on sale for £194.99 last week. I used an 8% off voucher to bring it down to £179.39 and then I find that 1,500 points were added to my Dell Rewards account giving me another £15 off bringing the total to £164.39 (about $206). An absolute bargain for probably the best monitor I've used so far. It was super easy to set up, took about 5-10 minutes from unboxing to power on. Colours are fantastic and 1440p looks amazing, I can't go back to 1080p now! Forza Horizon 5 is utterly gorgeous at 1440p ultra on my 3060 Ti. 😍

What's with the black bars on the sides of the screen? It almost looks like fake bezels, the actual bezel is super thin however the display doesn't seem to fit up to the bezel, anyone know the fix for this? Or is it designed that way for some odd reason?
I'm trying to decide between this and the Dell S2722DGM which is curved with a VA panel, which would you reccomend out of the two for console FPS gaming?
Got it from Dell, good screen, using it for Work rather then gaming, to anyone who has it also, please can you check the stand join, on my unit it clicks in but its not locked flush on the bottom, it has about half an inch of play, when angling the monitor up you can feel the play in the mechanism, not had that in any other Dell I have had befoe so wondering if its just my unit or if thats just how it is for everyone.
I have this monitor and mine seems to be fairly solid. I tried angling the monitor and it felt pretty solid. Maybe take a photo of the area in question and forward it to Dell and ask them if there is something wrong.
I have a question about their weird vision mode gimmicks like Night Vision and the stupid crosshairs. Let's say it's 2am and my eyes are dying: how can I turn the Night Vision on and have it sized to the fullscreen resolution instead of a small dark rectangle in the middle of my screen? (I thought monitor was borked the first time I saw it)
just bought it yesterday. I don't really like the white color on this monitor, it looks yellowish, in warm vector. I added more blue in settings, it becomes better but still dissapointing me. Also after Full HD 24' monitor the text on this one is strange for me. I use 80% of sharpness instead of the factory 50% setting. Text looks also more like yellow. Maybe this is because of 2k resolution and its a normal thing . HDR is terrible, don't even try to use that. Anything else - good. Iove menu, love these additional buttons, love weight (it lighter than HP X24ih). And main thing - backlight bleeding - ZERO . I checked two variants in shop, first one was with dead pixel, second one (this ) - perfect. Also i love the black color here so much, very good as for IPS (thanks to rtings for Contrast ratio stats, i found this monitor with their rating table). So i have mixed feelings because of the text and white color here.

Wait, you're saying the gigabyte would be better suited for Photoshop because of its colors? the gigabyte has 140% srgb the dell has 99%. As far as I know 100% would be perfect for Photoshop. everything else would be over or under saturated. I could be wrong but I think you are.
You’re correct. A lot of people think the higher the number is over 100% for colors is a good thing, but that’s not true at all. With colors, you want the number to be as close to 100% as possible. The most over 100% I would be find with is 110-120% because the higher it is the more oversaturated the colors get and calibration is off. My old MSI g272qpf was a great monitor, but it was too bright and oversaturated for my tastes. Also it had much more matte finish than this Dell (I currently have this monitor) which affects image clarity. This Dell is PERFECT for me and the panel looks closer to glossy than it is to matte.
My Screen starts to flicker when the response time is set to the extreme option. Is this normal? In the super fast function, it works properly. Is there a solution to my problem ?

Great review. Thanks! How does this compare to the Alienware AW2724DM? Is the Alienware worth the $300 plus over the Dell for a triple setup for sim racing?
I am also in the same dilemma here.. i am trying to find a compare between them.. what did you bought ?
I am torn between this and the alienware one you mentioned. Any advice?
Thoughts between this and the Gigabyte M27Q X 240Hz at the same price?
What would you recommend out of Alienware aw2724dm and this dell, because where i am from in Europe the dell model is 380e and Alienware is 500e ? It is ridiculous how much more they are in price. But even if you told me look at other monitors, every single one is overpriced when compared to USA and original pricing
Same bro i think imma just go for the alienware
bought 2 of those, now, whats the best colour setting so its like, the most natural feeling?
I just realized that i just spent my entire time searching best colour accuracy for hours but I use night mode 99% of the time

Whats the HDR like? Also how bright does it go? ive got the acer Nitro KG242 but im thinking of selling it off and getting this.
It looks good. Max luminance reached using Windows HDR Calibration was 470.@@guitarboy0211
It's sold out now 😒
So how do you get a sound output?
My new Dell G2724D is arriving tomorrow, and I've decided to use the soundbar from my tv (because I have no other speakers, and no money to buy some speakers). I will have to use the hdmi to digital output (which is called SPDIF) converter for that, which came with the soundbar.
You dont really need any sound outputs from a monitor. All the sound outputs you would need come from the motherboard. @@K33EEE
Pointless review. You did not cover the delta e of the monitorso or the srgb preset accuracy
I agree. One month to put out a review of subjective impressions? This channel could do so much better.
@@JarrettWalksOttawa awww you poor little boys.. do you think you will both survive ... ?
For long hours of reading and gaming would you suggest the Dell G2724D or Gigabyte M27Q ?
For everyday use 62724D it’s great value for the price plus the color accuracy and screen vibrancy is up to par
What color settings, brightness, contrast, RGB, are you using?
Is there anything similar to this monitor? I am looking for IPS 1440p, 165 hz monitor with 2.1 hdmi...
You find anything bro ?

Hi
Would you rather get this Dell g2724d or Dell s2722dgm for gaming and everyday usage?
g2724d all day every day
s2722dgm
Just bought it its great
What's with the black bars on the sides of the screen? It almost looks like fake bezels, the actual bezel is super thin however the display doesn't seem to fit up to the bezel, anyone know the fix for this? Or is it designed that way for some odd reason?
I'm trying to decide between this and the Dell S2722DGM which is curved with a VA panel, which would you reccomend out of the two for console FPS gaming?
This one
I did get this one in the end@@tanmengazmil
What did you bought ?
What manufacture date ? A00 model or A01? You can check this info from back of monitor it has sticker
just bought this, was on sale for 200$
Nicely explained! Its on its way to my house😂❤
(I thought monitor was borked the first time I saw it)
What do you do with all the monitors after you review it?
puts them in a blender and drinks them
@@Bogpillz😂😂😂😂
How is the stand? If lets say I put my elbows onto the table and I'm typing with my keyboard, is the stand so flaky that it shakes the monitor?
This Dell or Giga M27Q-X ? (p.s. i don't need higher than 144 Hz). Why does gigbyte qx is more expensive ?
just bought it yesterday.
Are u sure the yellowish whites aren’t from a gaming filter being on? That was the default with my different monitor
ur talking about HDR as a main point..no one uses HDR ever.... are u dumb?
Snagged it on Amazon for $200. This is insane value.
Honestly dell has some of the best bang for buck gaming monitors.
Can confirm that the monitor works for PS5 120hz. Its a really solid monitor IMO
Hey I have a question , about 1 year ago u did a review on the LG27UL500-w u said it was a perfect monitor for content creation and that’s what I’m looking for , but I want to buy the 32 inch version which is the LG32UL500-w that review that u did on the 27 applies for the 32 as well ?
Thanks
It should
hi there, is it possible to directly chose between different color temperature settings on that display? Like 6500K, 5700K etc?
Crazy how the market changes now it is $179.
nah, where?
Should I choose this Dell over the BenQ MOBIUZ EX2710Q if I want a Graphic Design Monitor???
I just bought this monitor for 241€ in sale, i hope its great
Can you recommend some other 27 inch monitor with 165hz and 2.1 hdmi?
Is there a solution to my problem
