    What I like about this build is that it is built to work and haul other vehicles in a hostile environment and to last a long time. 1/2 dune buggy, 1/2 tow truck - totally unique.

    I just found this channel and what I like about it is that there is no drama, none of the traditional youtuber manufactured drama between so and so. No 5 minute intro, no people screaming at the camera with their unnecessary overhyped "personalities".

    I love watching build that only uses " off the shelf " parts , just bolt it together . Right after you get it done , all your competition will have one just like it , not . I have dreamed up and fabricated a lot of stuff , but this is 1,000 times more intense . I enjoy the heck out of your videos . I have linked your channel to buddies across the country and many have said how much they enjoy it . Many are off-roaders and other like myself are former rescue people . Stay safe . Ed is my brother from another mother and Izzy is a cute kid . The whole crew is top notch .

      I worked in a fabrication shop several years ago as a welder near Amarillo, Tx that built really large farm cultivators. My work station was in a section of the building where across from me, this other welder seemed to have only two tools; a cutting torch and a large hammer. He’d cut a piece of metal that didn’t quite fit and proceed to beat it into place with that large hammer. One day, he had been beating and bearing and beating on a piece and finally in disgust, threw his hammer across the shop. In the ringing silence, I called over there and said “I think you dropped something, to which he replied in a droll tone “it slipped right out of my fingers.”

  • @tumbleweed4185
    @tumbleweed4185 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I'll throw in another comment about the weight. Tire flotation over soft surfaces is all 'pounds per square inch' of ground pressure. Matt estimates the final weight at 5,500 lbs and he is moving up to 40's which will give him the ability to drop air pressure and get the ground pressure even lower than the smaller banana. Another big plus for the new heavier tow vehicle is it will add more kinetic energy to the rope in a shorter distance and at a slower speed than the lighter banana. The towing advantage of the heavier Corvair on a kinetic rope is going to be a big advantage.

      2. More reliable
      3. Less drag on motor
      4. Easier to diagnose flow/cooling issues
