While i wouldn't say forget the deadline, i would say don't put the deadline ahead of building it correctly. While it would be great for the crew to have it done and operational in the next 25 days, it'll be a RFPITA if things have to be taken apart and corrected shortly after it's completed.

Hey guys. I am here because I am a fellow fabricator and a fan of Corvairs! Looking forward to seeing this build in on the trail and in action! When you bend roll bars, try and make sure the weld seam is oriented on the neutral axis. Your main hoop had the weld seam on the outside of the bend, making the weld seam experience maximum stretch. There is already a bunch of stress on the tube due to the weld, and asking it to stretch is potentially making it worse. Putting the weld seam on the center line makes the tubing as happy as it can be. When starting a bend, just remember to make sure the weld seam is lined up with the edge of the bending die and you will be all set!

This channel is great. Not only is the material terrific, but the people are nice (and real) and there is none of that typical TH-cam overly dramatic content or the 'star' flapping their gums for 20 minutes for what could have been said in 3 minutes. MORR is hitting it on all counts.

I found this channel with the impossible recovery on the side of the mountain episode. I have since watched every episode available on the channel over the past few months. These new build episodes are my favorite minus the really good recovery episodes :)

Its amazing watching the transformation of this project! Guys please reconsider the use of gloves on the pedestal grinder. I witnessed first hand a man ruining his finger (I was on the first aid team and bandaged him when the accident happened) by wearing gloves while grinding on one. The mind boggling thing is, he had previously completely lost his pinky and ring finger doing the exact same thing. Rotating machinery will grab a glove and what ever is in it before you can realize or react. Ok soap box disengaged..... Awesome build and love the process!

Yeahp. Many years fabricating one-off jobs for tractors. Cabs with heat for Wisconsin winters, snow plow and/or blower attachments, etc. Many, MANY hours of looking, thinking, etc. Ended up with Way more successes than failures. Satisfying but frustrating. Bravo. Rock on Matt!!

People used to ask me at work why I would just stand and stare at a piece of equipment for extended periods. Move around and look at different angles. Move it around and see how it moves and operates. It takes a while to piece together the thousands of ways to achieve a vision or end goal. It is the most fun I think. But it does get frustrating when others don't see the value and try to rush. Great build. Going to be a beast off road. Can't wait to see the final product. If I'm holding a piece of work while someone else is cutting with a plasma torch, I usually hold it with a pair of pliers. Not bare hands. Not even gloves at that point.
