I like the changes with Immortal. They actually try to make a lot of character more likeable and meaningful in comparison to comics

Anyone remember the girl in the tryouts with lightning powers? Anyway sure glad the whole team is basically strong punchy dudes lol
They actually seriously needed someone like Shapesmith on the team. However this is a little of an unfair criticism because in order to be on the ship they could only bring people who are hyper durable or otherwise resistant to Sequid's trying to penetrate their skin. Thats why heroes with more varied powers like DupliKate, Rex, and Rae couldn't come along.

Anyways,.I still agree with OP, she would have been a great addition to the team. Better than Shrinking Rae IMO, she's thicc and cute but I've always found shrinking to be a more or less useless power, unless you're Ant-Man. Even the Atom from DC is mundane compared to Ant-Man.
@@phantomwolf6201 A.) Slightly too much information on why you like Rae. B.) You're selling your waifu short, she's a seriously competent combatant and really useful as a scout and inflitrator, as well as being the absolute best at exploiting weak points.

B. "Competent is questionable at best. In the comics the shrinking Rae died during the same occurrence. And she found out the extremely hard way that going inside your superpowered opponent and trying to explode them from inside out is a terrible combat tactic. If it wasn't for plot armor, she would've met the same fate as her comic counterpart.
When you use the wrong character for a mission that needs AOE attacks:

I imagine Rex's powers would have been a bad choice for other reasons though, namely the structural integrity of the ship and the oxygen supply in an enclosed space.

It's a good thing The Sequids didn't posses Atom Eve for long. I couldn't imagine the destruction they could cause if they possessed her long enough to be able to use her Molecule Power.

He's been losing himself to his anger. He has PTSD from having his entire team being killed by someone he trusted. He should step down from the guardians because his judgement is currently fudged, and it's affecting his ability to trust anyone.
Glad he seemed to recognize that in the middle of this fight at least, it shows he's recognizing he is making things harder for everyone around him because of his bad calls. Invincible was right here in this fight, yet Immortal nearly fought him because he was just unable to trust him initially because of his own trauma. Later on, he nearly fought Allen (who he would have absolutely lost to, he has no chance there), all because he came from space, which is where Omni Man is. (And the death of Dupli Kate made him even more volatile)
His trauma is affecting everything around him, and he needs to step down until he works on it. Not because "oh, he's broken now", but because he is starting to lose trust in everyone around him, even when it is not warranted.

Is Mark actually stronger and faster than him though? The Immortal was actually doing some damage to Omniman when he fought him, but Mark was just getting destroyed and even when he managed to hit him, it did no damage. I know he got stronger since then, but you could probably say the same for the Immortal. Idk honestly, I feel like they should be around even, or the difference between them shouldn't be that big at least
That's exactly what I was thinking. That doesn't really make any sense. He shouldn't be stronger than Immortal, at least not yet. Like you said, Immortal did solid against Omni Man, I still don't see Mark being able to do any damage to Nolan. And the way Mark said it, does he really think he is that much stronger than Immortal where it would make a difference who tries? That implies that Immortal doesn't even stand a chance against weaker viltrumites.
I think they are playing on the earlier episode this season when Omni Man tells Mark to quit holding back. But you're right, if The Immortal can do damage to Omni Man, he can certainly do damage to Mark even if Mark isn't holding back.

Look at how mark handled himself agaisnt the viltrumites. He's not only gotten stronger but he's also more focused in fighting. He's about as strong as your standard viltrumite by now, while immortal is not as fast as him and barely weaker than him.

When you go into this, you realize Monster girl and bulletproof should have stayed behind, while rex and duplicate likely went instead. Since Rex's explosives would've been far nicer to have in this scenario. And assuming Duplicates ability has a stronger neural link to her clones than they do to taking it over, the creatures likely wouldn't be able to harm her in such a way. But yeah, you can see that there are members of the team that would've been better here than on the mission they ended up in. Sending all the extremely heavy hitters on one mission and all the sort of semi support rolls on another was a big mistake. I think Ray however was fine where she was since without her, things likely would've been just as bad against Lizard league. But it could've been better had monster girl gone in her place, or even better yet, in duplicates place. Since she clearly wasn't able to do anything at all.
Bulletproof was necessary for her flight, but Monster Girl definitely could have stayed on the ground, I'm sure she could have rivaled Komodo.

A group of people with mostly just close range abilities or flight and punching seems a bit lacking for a superhero team.

Oh that must have been a real weak bad guy cause this is the one time where Mark doesn't leave looking like a train wreck hell has a frozen over yet because these times are still these times so I'm going to believe that this was one of the weakest villains in the series of Mark didn't break a sweat not to mention he did have the help of immortal teen teams or whatever they call themselves

Some aoe wouldnt have hurt on this one, superman would have just lasred them all. Really I think they should play some mmorpgs and get the hang of good party compositions
This fight had too many conveniences, like Invincible not flying super fast to the astronaut, Eve letting a couple slip when she clearly set the bubble up fast enough, and the device having a little extra charge left

Mark is indeed more intelligent and durable due to being half viltrumite
But keep in mind that Inmortal basically has almost the same physical strength than nolan and is way more experience
