I like how they can't all be in the group, even-though they all have insane abilities.
I guess because the point of the team is to act like a team. Everyone gets to know every other team member extremely well, and they map out every single possible synergy and combo move in the group so they are stronger together and move as one. Hard to do with a big team.

My issue with this episode is the way that there is heroes in the talent pool that clearly look more valueable to the team than Rex.
I’d say his power specializes in range and support. When in combat against numerous/less durable enemies he performs pretty well; however, monster girl is an absolute tank so she closes the distance before he can really do anything.

Okay, can we all just talk about how smooth the transition of Shrinking Rae's size from large to small and back? They don't even give her this weird aura when she's changing size, but they just go straight into it? I knew being able to change size was a useful ability, but to show it being an effiective up close combat tool is what gets to me.

Gotta say love how everybody here is able to take a punch (unlike in the comics) it makes it feel as if having superpowers is immediatly followed by some degree of superhuman durability (which honestly makes sense when you think about how superpowers would put an extra pressure on the body and to compensate it should become sturdier, i know they never state something like this in the show but it FEELS as if that was the case and i aprove.)
I agree, plus just seeing people like Omni man (who’s basically Superman) actually does get beat up when he solos the guardians. He can dish out, but so can others

Samson was the most impressive tryout. Not only did he not have powers, but he quickly adapted when his flight was taken away and won.
AtomEve and Shrinking Rae already had their opponents beaten in the moment they saw they were just muscle with little brains.
We all saw how Atom Eve is enjoying the beatdown.
