I love the old Cla shooting brake AMG. But the sedan looked a little bit weird.
Keep in your mind that the A3 Saloon is over 5 years old...
Of course the next generation A3 saloon will use this stunning car the benchmark and hopefully they can make one better than this one but more importantly better than the old generation

Meanwhile consumers are snapping up the latest Benz models and Mercedes are winning market share. Audi are behind in the tech race. VW fucking things up again...

S. G. Now you’re “comparing apples to oranges”. These are cars, not phones, people change cars WAY less than phones. The CLA was introduced before the current 2 series and the A3. Both new versions of those will come within the next year. Audi is not going to market a car that hasn’t even been unveiled yet. Take a 2017 A3 and put it next to a 2017 CLA. The CLA is a joke and was never even brought up again against the A3/S3 and 2 series line up. Also, the Audi virtual cock pit came out before Mercedes digital cock pit, and is still worlds better. FYI I don’t own an Audi. But it’s definitely not behind in technology.

You should compare the A class saloon to the A3 saloon
The CLA plays in a different class. It’s a coupé, it’s more stretched and the roof is just much sleeker than a classic limousine.
Neither BMW nor Audi offer compact coupés at this moment.
Mercedes are really stepping up their game.

I agree I rented a 2017 S500 last October for a week. It was great in so many ways but there was something terribly dull about it. It lacked character. This has a bit of personality I think

It’s a throwaway society too, nobody buys their cars anymore they just lease them and hand them on in 3 years. I’d rather have a cheaper car and say I own it and take real pride in it.

These cars are best leased I think. After the warranty expires you're in a very precarious position if you buy. Lease it and get another in 3 years

Translated into English this means Coupé Lightweight A-Class.
It says it in the name, Coupé.
Which this one most certainly isn‘t.
Another obsession so many car manufacturers have is Gran Turismo and Gran Sport and Sports Turismo and however many names were created, which was conceived as a name for a sporty, comfortable 2-door Coupé‘s, and is now being given to so many 4-door saloons and Coupé‘s. That just drives me up the cocking wall.

First of all let me say thank you for helping me save £7000 on my Audi.
Secondly I’d like to point out a slight inaccuracy in this video. I have adaptive cruise control in my 2018 Audi, when that is used in conjunction with sat nav, the car automatically slows for roundabouts, turnings, junctions etc. It also changes the speed in accordance with posted speed limits from memory or from reading road signs. I had no idea it did this until I noticed the car started slowing by itself almost up to a standstill almost prompting me to make a turn and follow the sat nav. I don’t have an A3 but imagine it’s same setup. You would have noticed this in the RS4.

In my heart, it has not been so long for a second generation of the Mercedes CLA to come out. It is extraordinarily to showcase a world premiere for a car at 2019 CES but not only it has a sweltering design but it is innovative product that will put your needs first.

Well i went with A3 S-line with APR stage 2 tune, intake and full exhaust and absolutely love it. I drove a stock CLA and interior was nicer for sure but thats it

A3 sedan still wins because the headroom in the rear seats of the CLA is the worst of any car I've ever experienced. People should consider it a 2-seater. It's that bad.
Really noticed how Mercedes is focused on looks and is very impractical in their lower class cars. A real shame. The C-Class is where a real Mercedes begins.
There was comparison test recently between the now-old Audi A3 hatchback vs the latest Mercedes A-class hatchback by CAR Magazine (SA edition). The Audi won! Goes to show there's no substitute for substance.

That extra long iPad on the dash, oh dear... In my humble opinion it totally messes up the interior, it looks like a 10 year old asked his dad to glue it on there with the idea that it would give him bragging rights in the playground at school as none of his mates’ dads has an iPad in their car, and also enable him to play Fortnite whilst he is waiting in the car park for his parents to finish the shopping in Asda.

@SIG Indeed. I currently own a Mercedes that I`m really happy with, but no chance I`ll be replacing it with one of the new cars that are styled like that inside. Pity that made such a dramatic change, it really doesn`t come up to the standard of luxury and timeless style I`ve always admired them for.
@@Sheeshening You`re 100% correct. If the displays were better than, or at least up to, the latest standard of digital displays, then one might at a push forget the fact the screens are so ugly in the interiors but accept them because they look amazing once switched on.
