@matt : those side vents on the back are not fake. They just don’t work like you would expect them to. Their purpose is to have a hard edge on the outside of the bumper to lead the air flowing around the car to the back, without sucking it in behind the bumper as a rounder shape would (as this would create turbulences and hurt the CW coefficient). They could also have made a bumper with hard edges, without non functional outlets to realize the shape they needed, but then the car would have looked like a Prius. So they disguise the shape with those “fake but not so fake” side vents on pretty much any AMG line Mercedes and I’m told it actually has a measurable effect in the wind tunnel. @@TD1237 they are maybe durable, but on those places Mat scratched,my W205 have softer materials and on those places they are still most durable,so there is no excuse for mercedes, especially when they charge over 50 thousand euros for basic C class
@VinAr Run well yeah mine is pre-facelifted and materials are much nicer, okay it is now 5+ years old car and you can hear some squeaks but still I would not change it for new one, especially not for downgraded materials and the car itself is more expensive then w205 was when it was new,so yeah people who don't own c class, they are in awe and amazed with new one,but as w205 owner im not
@I love you but well depends,it's not that much shit,it has few week spots where you can hear squeaks when it is really hot, which is normal, but that all depends where was your car made, mine was made for german market which is not same as every other
I think they've done a very good job on the new model, but touch buttons everywhere - no, no, no. I like how they've angled the touchscreen to make it more at hand so the driver is doing less reaching, but I still love having a command center that falls right at the arm rest and does not require me to look at what I am pressing. I will not even consider this car or the new Audi models because of the reliance on touch sensitive controls.
this s class is the worst in my opinion, the 2018 or 2016 is best (in my opinion)
They do have "voice control" that controls everything including Panoramic roof, windows, heat/cool, media, text, directions/maps, ambient
lighting, color change. Just say (Hey Mercedes)
I like those little mercedes logos on the front grill😃
Nice touch indeed
C-Class v 3 Series v A4... Which are you choosing?
3 series
Toyota corolla
Dacia Logan
C class
3 series
I think this exterior design carried over this new line up (s-class to c-class) is the worst Mercedes has done in years.
The perfect car is this modern interior with previous generation exterior design...
Totally agree.2016~2019 e class and s class was perfection
Ikr previous gen Mercedes have one of the most beautiful car design. The current design looks like a cheap knockoff.
For a car that uses this much plastic it's pretty expensive...
Nothing like charging a premium for cost cutting
mercedes plastic is different from peugeout plastic
every car in this segment has plastic. This interior is far nicer than the 3 series, A4 and TLX

Its written all over this car
Probably only available for EU Members ☻
Because Mercedes UK decided.

It would’ve been better if the had the previous interior with the dual screen layout like in the E class

Matt, I have been watching your videos for sometime now. What a down to earth guy, always giving us useful information provided alongside gentle midlands humour.
Top lad, well done team 😌
S Class always refreshed from S to C, and people were complaining the S has A class headlights, now were back S>E>C lol. Mercedes is weird tho, doing from E to A to S to C.... Mercedes usually works their way down. BMW has that problem in reverse though, starting with 3>5>7 (problem because they make their exclusive 7 series look like big 3 series.
10:12 "Am I pleased to see you? Or have I got a Mercedes C Class Key in my pocket"
Mat Watson is a legend
make sure to review the C class AMG at the carwow amg review spot (wooden fence, near a railway)
every single Mercedes is now looking like an A class from the front… and a classes are now so common.
New c class- A class front lights
New E class- A class lights
New CLS- A class lights
New CLA- A class lights….
They need to differentiate the classes more. Especially the E class should have larger lights like it used to. It had way more presence
Never thought I would but love the look of this new C Class. Imagine the estate looking very sleek

This loooks absolutely amazing
Yes but why the fake exhaust ?
r u serious ???
I think this car looks cheap and feels cheap.. BUT IS expensive. I think you're better off with a Skoda Octavia to be honest.
Nah i’m more used to driving mercedes’, so yea. I know that some materials are cheap but the overall feel of the cabin is quite nice so i still like it.
@@dexgeta.9940 this i don’t understand as well lol. German brands are weird sometimes😂
In Europe, exhaustes must be down, siding to ground, in diesel powered cars due to regulations, so those you call "fake" exhaustes are for aesthetics
the amount of electric stuffs they put in cars nowadays is really scary, imagine dealing with em when they start breaking down :) also, change the analog speedometer dial to put a screen, then use 3D effect. pretty ironic
@Mitrax zero was talking about the 3D effect. They remove real 3D dials and the whole thing to put digital ones which have the 3D effect. That's the irony i was talking about
Analog dials should be an option, these screens everywhere are so ugly and obnoxious.
@@cholo85044 real dials are not 3D effect lol. The 3D effect of the dials moves depending on your positioning of your head. Analog dials dont move or have an 3d effect.
@@Miguel-th3wx analog dials ARE IN 3D, that's the whole point. 3 DIMENSIONS, you are a 3D object
@@cholo85044 the 3d thing is meant in a different way than you think. It means the dial will follow your eyes so it looks like you're looking at it from a 90 degree angle no matter where your head is. Normal dial can't do that. Also, you might call it ironic but the green can still do more than a normal dial. It can show you the normal dial AND other things. Makes it superior
Matt : Takes a Mercedes to milton Keynes and has a done a drag race with a Red Bull.
F1 fans: 'I see what u did there'.

I prefer the infotainment in the A and E series. The flat horizontal big screen is cooler, and there are more physical buttons, that may not look that impressive, but they surely are more useful and handy.
There is a decline in material quality in the interior. In the previous generation, there was no cheap plastic on the door trims.
Mercedes follows Nissan :-D
I really like this car! Hope I’ll be able to afford one by the time it gets facelifted🤞🏾
It looks good, but to me the previous generation was the most beautiful ever made... 😊
Matt: Hey Mercedes

I get this joke, ‘twas a funny one
Honestly I like the interior of the G20 more than the C class, looks more traditional
Hey Mat, you will probably won’t see this comment but I just wanted to tell you, that this version that you previewed costs over 60.000€ maybe more. And that is the start price for a C220. In Pounds would be over 51.000£.

Vent noise was also the same in the previous version of c class, it's extremely annoying if you want to turn off the music and enjoy the silence for a while, all you hearing is the vents. Mercedes should do something about this.
Also Matt can you please say "hey Mercedes, turn off the radio" that's a huge missing function of mbux

It feels that Mercedes Benz is now run by a sales executive called Genenvive Coco. She is from Paris and she has a degree in fabric design from the university of west england.

Probably not, the E-Class cost a lot more money.
