Now that's a nice dash!!! I can't tell if it's a dash cover or the original. But man it looks nice... For those thinking it's too much he's really going into deep detail on explaining everything. It doesn't take that long to do. Especially if you've bought their premade wire harnesses. I got the same pioneer head unit and the stock amp bypass wire harness. It was a simple process. Love the channel but I think his explanations might turn some off from doing it themselves. I was able to install my own amp, remove the stock amp, install my tweeters, 2x door speakers and 2x rear deck speakers and 2x 12's in about 2 hours. Mostly running wires (the rear deck was sort of a pain to remove and I used sound deadener.
Just installed your harness in my new TL today, love it! Works great. Had to unplug the center speaker as it was buzzing, but easy to do when the hvac vents are already off.
Ordered your kit to install pioneer with CarPlay in my sons car. Worked great! Followed your video here and we knocked it out together in a couple hours. Everything works perfectly! Thanks!

This is a great video. I picked up my Acura used and whoever owned it before me did a huge hack job. Factory amp was missing, they chopped into the amp wiring harness and used funky home speaker wire and duct tape everywhere. Finally got a replacement factory amp and a replacement harness back in now I’m just patiently waiting for my custom harness from you guys. I can’t wait to use my new (used) Kenwood deck.

I know the amp works the sub works ( had them tested) the ground is good the power connection is good but it will not power on my amp. I will have to tap into that red and orange wire with my remote cable to my amp to see if that works. The remote wire was previously tapped to a wire by the factory amp.
Hello what cable do I need splice from this harness. Im also going to install an amp but I'm not sure if I need to splice the solid blue wire for the amp to kick on. Cause I don't see any other wire that are loose other than a pink and purple wire.

Thx for video . My issue is my display above the air vents that shows climate and radio stations doesn’t always show the radio stations most of the time . But climate side is good but fades down sometimes . I’ll hit the top of dash and it will brighten back up . Any ideas??
My original radio for my o5 only works sometimes . And no radio info on the heads up display when satellite does work . But Am/Fm gives me radio info . I don’t know what to do . I’d like to keep original equipment

so i ordered the wire harness for my pioneer touch screen in my TL but the steering wheel control module won't work after holding the volume up on the wheel to pair it. i tried looking for that step in the video but it doesn't show it.

Yes pioneer sells units that have seperate brains from screens that you can fabricate to fit in the top screen location but what we have found is then where the factory radio becomes wasted space because you either have to leave the factory radio there or build some sort of cubby. Are there any radio systems aftermarket that replace the entire Factory radio and navigation screen because the navigation screen is basically obsolete is there anything that is bigger that goes up into that area as far as a radio
So best buy doesn't have the necessary connectors. We are the only company that has the 26 pin and 40 pin connectors, the normal blue/white 20 pin they will have. I have seen them complete the install by using that 20 pin and then just wire tapping and using rca's to get all the correct signals from and to the car. But for the install to be successful it will really be up to the technician if he can get it done or not. Some are familiar with interfacing with the factory amp and others will get everything working but your subwoofer and touchscreen. Our suggestion if you want to have it installed locally is to buy our DIY Combo which is just the harnesses, bring them to a shop and explain that these are the right accessories and show them the video and wiring instructions. We have videos on how to wire everything as well its just taking the car apart that is hard part.

So if your going to run an aftermarket amp for the door speakers and sub you wouldn’t have to harness those RCA connectors correct? You would just bypass it by using the aftermarket radio RCA inlet as outputs and run it to your aftermarket amp directly correct?
yes and then you need to feed the signal coming out of your amp to the factory speakers/your own speakers if you are going to use the factory wiring to run those speakers then we recommend hooking them up at the passenger kick panel where the factory amp is, if not you can always run your own wiring.

Hi Orlando. I bought the full kit to install a pioneer dmh 220ex but stuck on how to install the bypass cables. The kit i bought has available: green cable, purple and pink. the bypass has a green, blue and black. I gather the green goes to green but what about the other two?
Your going to color match green to green, black to black and then blue to blue/white. The black and blue white you will need to cut back the insulation somewhere and connect the other wires without cutting it completely

What if I have a amp and sub wired? How would I wire the rca from the other harness? I tried plugging the rca from the sub amp into the back of the deck but it’s very weak. Where do I wire tap the rca wires from the second harness?
The oem bracket can work with certain radios. We find it puts it at too much of an angle so the bottom center piece doesn't come flush when you go to finish the install.

Awesome upgrade. I am happy I got the Pioneer radio installed in 2008 Acura TL. But it gives a static hissing sound after the phone connects. If I disconnect the phone, the sound goes away. I can still listen to songs, etc but the hissing sound is always present and audible while listening at lower volumes. Can something be done about it?

Yes your assumptions on the parking bypass are correct, green to green than tap blue and black on the harness. As for the backup camera you will have to tap into the reverse lights or under the dash. Yes both radios are compatible

Also wondering does the harness I buy from u guys have that reverse gear wire I can tap into for the Camera usually it’s purple from what I’ve seen on the stock wires that come with the din deck. It’s what the little wire coming out of the end of yellow RC video cable connects to in the back of the unit.
That screen is mounted is so low below the driver's line of sight. It would be better if the touchscreen replaced the 2 screens up top since that was more in the line of sight for the driver
There is actually a tesla style upgrade its 10.1 in i believe it looks ok i ended up installing a regular pioneer FH-S52BT double din with no screen just radio with all the good works why do I need 2 screen lol and I got the navigation model so i really don't need it

For some reason you don't mention which wires to tap at the point of the video. I did blue to blue, black to black, green to green. Maybe the blue wire on your harness isn't for remote? I got this new wiring harness and it works perfectly with my Kenwood deck. I accidentally cut the wire for the aftermarket mic and got to thinking it would be awesome to tap into the factory harness to use the stock mic, is that possible?
That would be awesome and you probably can but it would take tapping some wires behind the radio and then a converter or some sort of cut mic harness so that you can actually connect it to the back of your radio.

Question, i bought a TL about a month ago . It has an aftermarket JvC receiver . I noticed previous owner was running some king of of system cuz he left the rca, remote, power, ground wires i removed the whole console and i didnt the rca’s connected to the unit ? Do they go to the factory amp?

Yeah you only need the 40 pin if you want to keep your factory navigation, amplifier and subwoofer. If not then you can use almost any harness just you will have to wiretap the steering wheel controls. If you are going to replace the amp and sub I recommend our amp bypass makes the install easy

Hi I have a 2001 TL the problem I have is my brother installed his old Pioneer radio in my car and when I tried to use the Bluetooth feature for my phone it says that the unit is full and I cant clear it because I dont have the bluetooth connection. How do I hook up bluetooth for my car so I can clear my radio and link new phones to it.
So you need to temporarily ground the green wire of the pioneer so that the radio thinks the car is in park. Then you can go into the settings menu and clear the Bluetooth memory and you should be able to then add your phone

Also my car has a factory bass speaker and amp but I have that pioneer head unit now someone told me I need to splice in rca cables to use the factory amp and speaker cause the plug is for factory radio only and wo t work with aftermarket radio unless I splice in rca cables
@@eligiorivera2049 correct your Acura has an amp and a factory sub even though it's an 2001. So you have to tap the amp turn on and send the factory sub a signal too.
I am working on a 2007 TL no nav. I am trying to retain the HFL steering wheel buttons, on this vehicle the 2 wires on the steering wheel connector are the orange and pink wires. The connector does not have a green/red wire. The green/red goes to the audio unit and is for remote switch positive on the 05 TL I believe. Looking at the wiring diagrams for the 07 TL the corresponding wire is a pink one. The orange goes to the HFL unit in both vehicles. I have wired a loop wire with a 150 ohm resistor between the pink and orange wires and now the steering wheel buttons do not function correct. The Ch up button changes the mode on the radio. I tried reprogramming the aswc1 but am not having any luck. Before wiring the loop wire all steering wheel buttons minus the HFL ones were working fine. Got any advice or point me in the right direction?
if you install an aftermarket radio you will need to bridge the front left and front right audio to power that center speaker or make it a duplicate of either side, either way we just recommend leaving it out of the equation.

yes, but you will have no subwoofer or center channel and your navigation will not work. Also factory HFL will not work.

Would this work the same if I ordered from Best Buy and had them install the DMH-1500NEX model but without steering wheel control?
So best buy doesn't have the necessary connectors. We are the only company that has the 26 pin and 40 pin connectors, the normal blue/white 20 pin they will have. I have seen them complete the install by using that 20 pin and then just wire tapping and using rca's to get all the correct signals from and to the car.
But for the install to be successful it will really be up to the technician if he can get it done or not. Some are familiar with interfacing with the factory amp and others will get everything working but your subwoofer and touchscreen.
Our suggestion if you want to have it installed locally is to buy our DIY Combo which is just the harnesses, bring them to a shop and explain that these are the right accessories and show them the video and wiring instructions. We have videos on how to wire everything as well its just taking the car apart that is hard part.

So if your going to run an aftermarket amp for the door speakers and sub you wouldn’t have to harness those RCA connectors correct? You would just bypass it by using the aftermarket radio RCA inlet as outputs and run it to your aftermarket amp directly correct?
yes and then you need to feed the signal coming out of your amp to the factory speakers/your own speakers if you are going to use the factory wiring to run those speakers then we recommend hooking them up at the passenger kick panel where the factory amp is, if not you can always run your own wiring.

We all know Acura TL from 2004-2008 doesn't have the best sound system like Infiniti cars because they come with Bose speakers.

Hi Orlando. I bought the full kit to install a pioneer dmh 220ex but stuck on how to install the bypass cables. The kit i bought has available: green cable, purple and pink. the bypass has a green, blue and black. I gather the green goes to green but what about the other two?
Your going to color match green to green, black to black and then blue to blue/white. The black and blue white you will need to cut back the insulation somewhere and connect the other wires without cutting it completely

What if I have a amp and sub wired? How would I wire the rca from the other harness? I tried plugging the rca from the sub amp into the back of the deck but it’s very weak. Where do I wire tap the rca wires from the second harness?

The oem bracket can work with certain radios. We find it puts it at too much of an angle so the bottom center piece doesn't come flush when you go to finish the install.

You lose amp/factory sub and center speaker support with aftermarket radios. Unless you follow his directions

Awesome upgrade. I am happy I got the Pioneer radio installed in 2008 Acura TL. But it gives a static hissing sound after the phone connects. If I disconnect the phone, the sound goes away. I can still listen to songs, etc but the hissing sound is always present and audible while listening at lower volumes. Can something be done about it?
How are you connecting your phone via aux? And is it charging when you are hooked up via aux? Or is it over USB?

Have few questions plz! What does the parking bypass connect too, green is obvious but black n blue, do u just tap in to same colours on the harness? Yes your assumptions on the parking bypass are correct, green to green than tap blue and black on the harness. As for the backup camera you will have to tap into the reverse lights or under the dash. Yes both radios are compatible

Also wondering does the harness I buy from u guys have that reverse gear wire I can tap into for the Camera usually it’s purple from what I’ve seen on the stock wires that come with the din deck. It’s what the little wire coming out of the end of yellow RC video cable connects to in the back of the unit.

That screen is mounted is so low below the driver's line of sight. It would be better if the touchscreen replaced the 2 screens up top since that was more in the line of sight for the driver

There is actually a tesla style upgrade its 10.1 in i believe it looks ok i ended up installing a regular pioneer FH-S52BT double din with no screen just radio with all the good works why do I need 2 screen lol and I got the navigation model so i really don't need it

I recently installed your harness and everything works fine, however, could you let me know which wires I tap for the pioneer parking brake bypass? For some reason you don't mention which wires to tap at the point of the video.
I did blue to blue, black to black, green to green. Maybe the blue wire on your harness isn't for remote? Or maybe the black wire isn't ground? Please let me know.

Yes you will lose the center channel speaker that is used for route guidance by the factory navigation
I got this new wiring harness and it works perfectly with my Kenwood deck. I accidentally cut the wire for the aftermarket mic and got to thinking it would be awesome to tap into the factory harness to use the stock mic, is that possible?
That would be awesome and you probably can but it would take tapping some wires behind the radio and then a converter or some sort of cut mic harness so that you can actually connect it to the back of your radio.
1 question what I been wondering like the 07 Acura TL that has navigation, will the reverse camera still work on the stock navigation. Than putting it on the aftermarket stereo. Thanks 😊

Question, i bought a TL about a month ago . It has an aftermarket JvC receiver . I noticed previous owner was running some king of of system cuz he left the rca, remote, power, ground wires i removed the whole console and i didnt the rca’s connected to the unit ? Do they go to the factory amp?

Yeah you only need the 40 pin if you want to keep your factory navigation, amplifier and subwoofer. If not then you can use almost any harness just you will have to wiretap the steering wheel controls. If you are going to replace the amp and sub I recommend our amp bypass makes the install easy

What do you mean the size of the dash? The dash kit will hold any standard double din radio.
Hi I have a 2001 TL the problem I have is my brother installed his old Pioneer radio in my car and when I tried to use the Bluetooth feature for my phone it says that the unit is full and I cant clear it because I dont have the bluetooth connection. How do I hook up bluetooth for my car so I can clear my radio and link new phones to it.
So you need to temporarily ground the green wire of the pioneer so that the radio thinks the car is in park. Then you can go into the settings menu and clear the Bluetooth memory and you should be able to then add your phone

I will try and clear the memory out from the park position it should work then. Also my car has a factory bass speaker and amp but I have that pioneer head unit now someone told me I need to splice in rca cables to use the factory amp and speaker cause the plug is for factory radio only and wo t work with aftermarket radio unless I splice in rca cables
@@eligiorivera2049 correct your Acura has an amp and a factory sub even though it's an 2001. So you have to tap the amp turn on and send the factory sub a signal too.
I am working on a 2007 TL no nav. I am trying to retain the HFL steering wheel buttons, on this vehicle the 2 wires on the steering wheel connector are the orange and pink wires. The connector does not have a green/red wire. The green/red goes to the audio unit and is for remote switch positive on the 05 TL I believe. Looking at the wiring diagrams for the 07 TL the corresponding wire is a pink one. The orange goes to the HFL unit in both vehicles. I have wired a loop wire with a 150 ohm resistor between the pink and orange wires and now the steering wheel buttons do not function correct. The Ch up button changes the mode on the radio. I tried reprogramming the aswc1 but am not having any luck. Before wiring the loop wire all steering wheel buttons minus the HFL ones were working fine. Got any advice or point me in the right direction?

To the amp turn on wire coming from your Aftermarket radio, it's normally blue or blue with a white stripe. It will say remote or amp turn on

What about center speaker?
if you install an aftermarket radio you will need to bridge the front left and front right audio to power that center speaker or make it a duplicate of either side, either way we just recommend leaving it out of the equation.
