FYI all the epic scenes you see like with the peacock feather or Bajirao jumping on top of the elephant are based on paintings found from that era and thought to be true.

About the locations: Bajirao's place is possibly Shaniwar Wada in Maharashtra and the place where the Mohe Rang Do Laal song was shot is a replica of the Amer Palace in Rajasthan. 9:55 actually during the period of the peshwas, those artificial fountains did existed, infact it will find it in temples and forts dated older than the maratha Dynasty.
Achara and Steph would have been better for this reaction as they understand the plot easily and also for a love story like this one. Hope you guys get the actual feel of this movie.
The reason that the peshwa's family wouldn't accept Mastani is because the Maratha empire's vision was a hindu dominant kingdom. Their mortal enemies were the Mughals (who were obviously Muslim) so having a muslim wife would tarnish the image of the Brahmin peshwa. The importance of religion and religious saints/gurus will be clearer in the later half of the movie when bajirao isn't present at the Brahmin bhoj (feast) which leads to further bitterness between them Hindu-Muslim alliances were common during mediaeval era (as a political tool ofc), but given the position of the Marathas and the Mughals, the affinity between Bajirao and Mastani was doomed from the very outset
Arrows are lit when defending a fortified position (in late medieval India) because of previously positioned gunpowder stores in preparation to slow the initial charge.
The flaming arrows signal the allies waiting in distance to charge. Besides an archer must know the trajectory of the arrow to adjust in the second volley. So during the battles at night arrows are lit with fire…
Bajirao Mastani & Padmaavat were two of the greatest period drama epics ever made in the history of Indian cinema. All thanks to the man behind the screen ~ Sanjay Leela Bhansali And, Peshwa Bajiro was a Gem for INDIA. Long Live Hinduism
Bajirao Peshwa was among the only 3 rulers in the world who never lost a single battle and the best movie they could come up with is a love story. Sad but true. 😏😏
Fact: Bajirao is the most successful warrior in global history, he fought 42 wars and never lost any. This is an unmatched record considering they were against the mighty Mughal empire, probably the biggest and most rich empire of that time in the world, it is no small or medium feat. Many modern war generals study his war tactics as case studies.
The awkward fact is that the movie tried to make extra marital affair look good.. What was Kashi's mistake? But she did suffered a lot because of them..
I remember first time watching @jaby's reaction to 'Bajirao Mastani Trailer' and he said it as 'BAJI-ARO' instead of 'BAJI-RAO' and he still does that. Its just amazing! 😀
Hey, you guys should definitely react to this movie called Jaane tu ya jaane na, it’s got a simple and light storyline yet it’s one of my personal favourites. Loved the reaction btw 👍🏼
If the movie is based on the true and real facts then I was naive when I watched this movie, rooting for Baji Rao and Mastani love story. It was Kashi who suffered at the end. She was legally wedded wife of Baji Rao. Her husband meant world to her but still she was cheated upon. Movie played well romanticing such relationship over suffering of other that even the audience sympathies with them.
Abt the fountains....In Shaniwar Wada in Pune the home of the Peshwas...In the main chowk (which later got destroyed due to fire) there was a thing called 'Hajari Karanje' or thousand fountains built by Bajirao Peshwa which used a very intricately designed water system ...The pipes used to be ...uhhh...similar in structure to the Hose pipes in RRR ..you know the snake ones which Bheem uses to fight during the internal sequence...just material used were different.... Fountains have been a part of Indian Architecture for almost a thousand years
Peshwa bajirao was my great great great great great great grandfather. It does warm my heart knowing though tainted his story is viewed and apreciated by millions.

@@daddyshome275 Everyone knows its not accurate nor Padmavaat is. Its called historical drama piece. People love this movie cuz of visuals , dialogue & the drama. From devdas to Padmavaat Bansali has managed to tell a story with visuals & little much of action. His movies are like 1900s Novels specially written by Bengali Writers like Saratchandra ( DEvdas) . Thats a kind of art also.
@@daddyshome275 yes
FYI all the epic scenes you see like with the peacock feather or Bajirao jumping on top of the elephant are based on paintings found from that era and thought to be true.
10:10 Achara running like a little mouse!😆
oh my god jaby, you are finally watching this masterpiece.
this is the second movie of the trio Sanjay Leela Bhansali (dir)- Ranveer Singh - Deepika Padukone's period dramas and Bajirao Mastani's the best.
l love more priyanka chopra character more than deepika
I want them to see Ram Leela 🙌
Yes that's Indian classical music. And about piping the water, Indian architecture was way more advanced in that era. So yeah a lot of things existed. 😊
the fire was because they wanted to give signal to bajiraos army.. which was waiting far away.. so they can see them..
This scene 7:00 everytime just gets this amount of power and rigor in me which is too immense! The bgm ji ra ji ra ji ji is electrifying!
Like feeling of a shaking studium with hootling and rootling. Like thundering stadium of a cricket match between india and Pakistan.
Fact... Mastani connected people mind... Kashi connected with heart... I love kashi more than mastani
9:54 the way achara going towards fridge and trying to hide herself from camera😂😂
Priyanka Chopra shines as Kashibai , her moist eye acting she stole the show for me for sure!!!
as indian we are so proud about our history and this is also based on true events Jai hind
About the locations:
Bajirao's place is possibly Shaniwar Wada in Maharashtra and the place where the Mohe Rang Do Laal song was shot is a replica of the Amer Palace in Rajasthan.
The knife thing:
The knife thing was to cauterize her wound. He heats it up while talking to her, and places the hot knife on her wound to help it heal faster.
I remember watching this movie in the theater when I was a freshman in high school. Now I am a senior in college....I remember this movie like yesterday
6:42 It was a signal to Bajirao's army to start marching towards the enemy( declare War)
Hell yeah .. Movie Selections are on point JABY... love from INDIA❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
This is stunning as it shows bharat just before brits started wars .. this bharat is richest country of all time since 10k years
Finally bajirao mastani
Enjoying from Delhi 😃
10:10 imposter imposter i repeat Imposter.
I love this movie so much and even more so because my favorite actors from the Bollywood movie Industry are in it! They just dont make movies like this anymore i feel, but anyhow, so glad you are watching this one. I have always wanted you to see it and know your reaction to it. can't wait for the rest of the uploads.
0:25 OH MY GOD SO PREDICTABLE!!
Ohhhh this is exciting! I love Bajirao Mastani and it's awesome to watch your reaction to it. ❤
Priyanka stole the show in this one for me. Not to take away from the other performances which were spectacular as well, but pc>
It's not a love story audience it's a story about extra marital affair ❤️👍
My Fevorite Seen 🚩🚩🚩
श्री पंत बजिरावा साहेब... 🙏🙏🙏
Bajirava won the all battels in his short life 🙏
He is one of the three Generals in the history of the world who never lost a battle. Malwa (1723), Dhar (1724), Aurangabad (1724), Battle of Palkhed (1728), Firozabad (1737), Delhi (1737), Bhopal (1738) and Battle of Vasai (1739) were some of the major battles won by Bajirao.
INDIA is a Worrier Country 🚩👍
🙏🚩 हर हर महादेव 🙏 🚩
Maharana pratap was 7'6 warrior, he would tear someone sitting on an elephant easily, thanks to chetak too.. 🔥
They would’ve cried their hearts out..
@@sangeetat6848 Exactly, they just kind of mocked the movie till the end with cringy jokes this time.
4:31 I really liked the head movement.... that's so sweet 🙂
Jaby..We won't mind to see reaction of a single movie from different different pairs..We would love to see different perspective ❤️
Bajirao was invincible in all war but in this movie they showed him like a lost in love.. This is Bollywood jaby
The fire arrows where actually a sign for Bajirao Peshwa to start the war
Dude India had fountains centuries ago.. our water management and irrigation plans were way ahead of rest from
d world..
She gave him the signal to attack by lighting up the arrows.
Ancient india had ultra modern techniques than current technologies which even richest countries dont have right now.
It’s not only movie it’s our true history….
yup polygamy of kings totally
The reason that the peshwa's family wouldn't accept Mastani is because the Maratha empire's vision was a hindu dominant kingdom. Their mortal enemies were the Mughals (who were obviously Muslim) so having a muslim wife would tarnish the image of the Brahmin peshwa. The importance of religion and religious saints/gurus will be clearer in the later half of the movie when bajirao isn't present at the Brahmin bhoj (feast) which leads to further bitterness between them
Hindu-Muslim alliances were common during mediaeval era (as a political tool ofc), but given the position of the Marathas and the Mughals, the affinity between Bajirao and Mastani was doomed from the very outset
Equivalent to "tracer shots" in modern warfare.
@@quiet7632 learned something new. Thanks
Bajirao Mastani & Padmaavat were two of the greatest period drama epics ever made in the history of Indian cinema. All thanks to the man behind the screen ~ Sanjay Leela Bhansali
And, Peshwa Bajiro was a Gem for INDIA. Long Live Hinduism
10:12 was the best part ❤️
Bajirao Peshwa was among the only 3 rulers in the world who never lost a single battle and the best movie they could come up with is a love story. Sad but true. 😏😏
Can't wait for part 2
Fact: Bajirao is the most successful warrior in global history, he fought 42 wars and never lost any. This is an unmatched record considering they were against the mighty Mughal empire, probably the biggest and most rich empire of that time in the world, it is no small or medium feat. Many modern war generals study his war tactics as case studies.
It's not story it's history ❣️
Those fountains work with the force of water, either a reservoir or any stream on a hilltop ...so enough pressure to make a fountain work.!
I LOVE YOU JABYYYYY FOR REACTING TO THISSSSS, OMG. CHHATRAPATI SHIVAJI MAHARAJ KI JAI🚩
They lit the arrows to let Bajirao know that they’re ready for attack. It’s a msg
Toughest subtitles, bcz dialogues carries the feel of the movie
Ranveer Singh killed this role 🙌🏻🔥
Priyanka.... our queen ❤️🥰
Fountains have been a part of Indian Architecture for almost a thousand years
Dont skip songs ,every songs in this movie is beautiful
They don't want copyrights though
Peshwa bajirao was my great great great great great great grandfather. It does warm my heart knowing though tainted his story is viewed and apreciated by millions.
Next movie you must do a watch along should be Padmavati
