    Sir suppose one motor I have high efficiency motor that name plate on 415 volt 50HZ frequency now as per your discussion you told maintain the v/f ratio..... suppose i want to run motor over speed line 2000 rpm by vfd now frequency required like near about approximately 66.67 hz ...now take our first condition maintain V/F ratio so voltage goes 553.361 volt....now here clearly visible voltage as per 8.3 ratio ....can motor insulation withstand upto 553.36 volt......this is not possible so some condition only used this V/F ratio constant method

    • @dineshdiwani
      @dineshdiwani  ปีที่แล้ว

      Name plate data suggested max limit to operate any motor at normal or full load. Though 10-20% safety margins are considered while designing a motor. I have run motor with VFD at 110% rpm of rated that works well and insulation withstands. Going beyond that may fail one of its designed data.

    Sir why id run is control in dtc mode not scalar mode

    • @dineshdiwani
      @dineshdiwani  ปีที่แล้ว

      Because in scalar mode is more for speed control at constant torque. So if don't the exact nature of load it will deliver output at varied Freq while maintaining a constant load.
      While in DTC mode your load is always of varying nature and to contact perfectly you need exact design of load connected and autotune test draws a mathematical model of load connected and controls current at even zero speed. That's the beauty of DTC mode.

    Can we run 2 pole 22 kW motor at 6300 rpm? If yes which motor? And how?

    • @dineshdiwani
      @dineshdiwani  ปีที่แล้ว

      A motor is recommend to run at 5% higher than rated rpm with vfd. If this motor rated rpm is 6000 rpm then no issue. As it's bearing and cooling system is designed for rated rpm.

    Respected sir I am having a problem with a asynchronous motor of 11 kw vfd connected. The problem is motor drives a spindle with pully belt but in the starting the motor doesn't start on its own i have to rotate the spindle wheel connected to motor with belt then after it starts rotating now in vfd i did use the torque boost option also but no result.

    • @SanjayRajput-zy2op
      @SanjayRajput-zy2op ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Initially when command is given the current rises to more than itz rated and current keeps being stable at that point around 26A vfd also doesn't trip even after i did enter all motor parameters. So could u please share something on it plzz sir

    • @dineshdiwani
      @dineshdiwani  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ensure VFD in vector control mode and current boost setting is 300% if option available or what is maximum available. Even after it doesn't start its own then load demanding higher size motor. Because starting current supplied you mentioned 26 A is not sufficient to move the spindle and it won't trip the motor coz may be VFD is of higher size or motor data not supplied to VFD is not matching. Better perform hot auto tuning for VFD to know motor behaviour. Check and revert
      Last thing will be motor of higher you require i think

    Dear sir , i understand the video I had a doubt that , how maximum torque is achieved in 0 Hz , what makes the drive to be torque constant and rpm variation , please explain with some calculation ...how torque remains constant in various rpm

    • @anaglokesh7511
      @anaglokesh7511 ปีที่แล้ว

      Specially that Iq (responsible for torque ) and Id ( responsible for rotating )...here need some calculation with example

    • @dineshdiwani
      @dineshdiwani  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Constant torque characteristics are basically shown by DC motor... That AC motor can't have when simply run on scalar mode. It is vector mode that made possible by rearranging Iq and I'm vector at 90 deg which ensure operation of AC motor as DC motor. It involves very complex calculations and done in real time in microprocessor unit of vfd. This process almost distort AC motor torque speed curve to give max torque at zero speed. My video is just a bit an explanation in this direction.

    • @dineshdiwani
      @dineshdiwani  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For calcutions to be perfect, cold auto tuning is required where microprocessor draws motor's mathematical model and regulates current vectors in real time.

      @anaglokesh7511 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sir , while stopping IM , we know three breaking methods and as I have a doubt in some applications we use DBR and in some we don't ? and breaking methods changes as per application in drives ?

    • @dineshdiwani
      @dineshdiwani  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@anaglokesh7511 when power loss is not criteria only braking is important and no speed control is required, in small applications, then DBR is supplied also rectifier in vfd is a kind of uncontrolled fixed one, hence cost comes down, with this arrangement you cannot feedback power to grid. So power is wasted on DBR.
      When drive is bigger and speed control is required then at the time of speed reduction, regeneration power is fed back to controlled rectifier available in VFD. It's cost is higher compare to uncontrolled one.
