Hi S3 Friends! Thanks for tuning in, hope you liked the episode 😁As you may know, we spend a majority of our time in search for the Worlds Best Dining Experiences, and we Ranked our TOP 10 Dining Experiences for 2024! Curious to see who made the list? Check out our free post here: s3lifestyle.substack.com/p/ranking-our-top-10-restaurants-of What about you, what are some of your best dining experiences this year, fancy or casual? Let's get inspiration from each other, to curate a delicious 2025!
you know, its a great concept. I am wondering always why these chefs at the top of their game (3 michelin etc.) don't become cultural icons outside of cooking. This is great to showcase the ability of the smart people in this interesting industry. I think s3 is pioneering something here. thank you! 🥂
With all due respect... They make food. And that's not really interesting to the majority of people. If you mean compared to the likes of Jamie Oliver etc. then I agree.
Absolutely love this series! Copenhagen is hands down one of my favourite food cities too. You’ve really captured the spirit and incredible culinary diversity there. Can’t wait for the next city! 🙌🍴✨
I wouldn’t call the diversity as the best feature… quality yes, conscientiousness yes, but not diversity - at least not compared to many other European capitals
Just come then :-) but i do suggest visiting when there is a chance of good weather. I'd council from may until mid september, give or take a few weeks. That's when the city really shines imho, and when one can really experience that blend of cool laid back nordic bike city vibe combined with the sun kissed beauty and open water fronts that is also CpH in good weather. And when the sun is out, the ,the locals will be out to enjoy their city and the sun, and good vibes will be around. On those days, for me, CpH is really special. In the cold and dark months......well, let's just say that spring time is always a very change, every time it arrives lolz ,D
That's great, thanks!! Once we nail the concept and get a few under our belts, we're definitely going to consider doing much longer versions! Thanks for the feedback!
You have the time stamps from your Chicago Smyth episode attached to this video ... Either way I love this series! How do I get to go with you guys to hang out with the world's best chefs??? 😂
Sumac onions with charred tomato's mingling with a lifting from the sumac that leads to a sauce of decreasing the extents and bread, profile? What does the leafy greens produce within the dish? A Michelin star chef i think should go beyond the profiles of caviar. A folded pizza, profile???? I am wondering if the toppings have dryness before the addition of oil(sun dried tomato's), also does the folding create a fluffy infusion of taste of the toppings into the cheese. What type of top does the pizza dough create with the sauce, interior of a pot pie? What depth does the crust have, does the crust create a position with the food experience that improves the experience with texture?
@@mikkelljungbeck6187 That is absolute nonsense. I had 1 star menu for 160, easily, in Copenhagen. You're saying that 1 person 1 star menu is at least 600 euros? You're out of your mind. Nevertheless... calling 45 eur for spaghetti affordable is still wild.
Guys, let me say I’m a big fan and subscriber of the channel. Your strength has always been your singularly unbiased, experienced, sensitive and honest appraisal of fine dining restaurants, and the artful and expressive way you shoot and edit your videos. Hanging around with chefs on their days off, while expressing no opinions of your own is a downgrade. After a career in 3 star dining in NYC, the best chefs I ever knew(and they’re all famous) could easily do a Budweiser and a good deli sandwich after work….so what? Follow your instincts, not theirs! That said still a fan
I like the concept of these new videos but it would be nice to have more of their personality in it (hear them asking questions). But I also think they are trying to highlight the chef and in a way honor the chef by holding space for them and letting them shine without their take on the day. I think if they keep with it they will find the sweet spot with this new concept.
Hey Doug, Thanks for sharing! Like @lmsanders123 mentioned, we're just starting to figure out this series! We film everything ourselves, and it's an adjustment trying to be front facing while also filming everything :) A slow work in progress, but we'll figure it out... while also still continuing our dinner / restaurant series!
Thanks, appreciate your input! Yes, we were so focused on filming this one... but we agree with you too! There needs to be a sweet spot and we definitely will be more front facing in the upcoming episodes :) Thanks for the support!
Was thinking the same. Either way cool video. Came straight to the comments to search if anyone else was talking about how much they spent if they would have been normal customers. I think closer to 10k included drinks. I mean the Wagyu, Caviar, Krug, all the seafood and other incredible raw materials, just incredible. And even the olive oil from Sassicaia wauuu

Thanks!! Definitely want to create a platform to highlight chefs and who they are, outside of the kitchens!!
@@S3Lifestyle Maybe try MPW even though he doesn't cook on 3 stars anymore? 😀

Haha just a coincidence... or was it ;) Haha, no totally just a coincidence haha
This series is too down to earth for Alexander
@@niranalmog4773 i think that might be true lol
VIce's chef's night out was a fun series back in the day when Vice was still good. Doing the same with Michelin chefs is a great idea!

Jordnær is great - next time you should also try Parsley Salon which serves beautiful and tasty food at affordable prices
Hi There! We just looked up Parsley Salon, it looks great! Thanks for the recommendation :)
Very cool chef
THANKYOU...
Solid video experience, loved it
Amazing episode, what a great guy and brilliant Chef!
Love Eric's jacket - what brand is it?
Chef Eric seems like such a lovely guy.

Great series and video quality! Would love to see you guys go to Hamburg with Chef
Thanks! And oooh us too haha... who knows, maybe one day!
Calling 45 eur for spaghetti as lunch affordable is wild
In denmark the prices are high
@ so they are in the Netherlands. But I don’t call 45 euro for spaghetti affordable
It's REALLY expensive... In France it's normal to get a 1 star menu with wine for around 300 eur, in Denmark it's AT LEAST double. Easily.

nothing here is affordable for a big amount of Copenhageners lol

is that a flying saucer tat on his neck?? if so that’s pretty sick haha

You could have done a collab with Alexander the guest 😅

Do they do different European cities? Copenhagen has great restaurants,i just learned about a few more...tack chef.
Anyway to get food tipps for hamburg from the chef?

Franks Kro, Rosetta and Gosht aren't fancy. They are what danish people concider a normal day eating out.

whats the second best slice place??
👍
didn't understand, what's the market called?
Torvehallerne
I came here for sandwiches and bakst😅.
I read the thumbnail as "Where a ahh cheff eats"
conpenhaguen the food capital of the world, don't think so.... barcelona and madrid is still leading i would say
Not even close… the two best rated restaurants in the world is located in Copenhagen. The quality is WAY higher in Scandinavia
Anyone knows the name of that jacket?
Very cool video but when the Chef is talking the music should be turned way down I think.
Hi there, thanks for the feedback, we're always mindful about that... but we'll try and put it even lower next time!
Yung lean of cooking
Nice! One minor flaw from the chef, caviar is a product from te sea.. 😅
would be nice to see the prices of the dishes. That day of eating did probably cost more than 2000 Euros

insane.

Levi seems nice but I would not call a restaurant with mains for around $50 ‘affordable’
I thought there was a spot light on dudes neck
10:58 typical danish behavior :D
Guy looks like he’s about to try and destroy house atreides
B.S. Caviar tastes like caviar, straight out the gates. Doesn't take body temperature to make it taste better.
30 years as a chef.
Who owns S3?
and how do yall afford to travel these places and eat this food?
Snaps og flæsk, sådan man.
Wanna know the other good pizza slice place :/
It's no wonder he's a big guy.
jeg hader københavnere
Der er kun jyder i København 😂
Københavnere hader dig
Torvehallerne is a price and tourist trap
everything looks like for people who make like 200k a year
Too bad Frank's Kro is about double the price of every other place that have the same menu
Does he only eat at Michelin starred restaurants 💀
it still do t taste well
Expected this to be a reality piece, not some staged thing.
What was staged?
Hvis I virkelig synes, at det er sejt at tale engelsk, hvorfor gør I det så ikke?
Hvad mener du?
Er du skæv? Gør de sgu da også
Nej - Dim sum restaurant ved Istegade er ikke god efter min mening ! Just saying
this is pretentious and expensive. go to chicky grill
Wtf these are some weak ass picks. Maybe apart from Gosht...
The guy looks like action Bronson, if action was better at cooking and worse at rapping.
Bulls.. video
that guy gotta stay away from the kitchen and be more active on the gym, jesus christ hes the living proff the earth is not flat
WTF - He definitely doesn't know shit lol - if you go to CPH try to avoid these places, except Fu Hao. Trust me.
no what does he know a michelin chef who also happen to live in CPH, I'm sure you are more of an expert
10:59 Hahahah "You can call it fat f**k" sandwich.
