You Da man Mr Young! Master of the Salish Sea! You are such an inspiration for all of us who seek adventure! Always enjoy your stuff! Can’t wait for Part 2
David, yesterday I went for a winter day sail in my open yawl. It wasn't warm and it drizzled for half the time but it was great just sailing. A good sail is so good for the soul, it could put a hundred psychologists out of work. As is a good walk in the country. Your videos have all this and more. Thanks for sharing your journeys with us.
Hi Chris, thanks for continuing to watch my journeys. The challenges sailing on a wet, cold day on the water makes you feel great at the end of the day.
It was a great trip, David. Enjoyed part one, looking forward to part 2. Too bad the other 3 guys weren't able to make it this year. Would have been great to have 6 Montgomery 17's sailing together!
Hi Woodskid, I started sailing around 1981 when I lived on the Oregon Coast. Chris and I took lessons and in 1982 I bought a new M17. I had it for 16 year than donated it to the local Boy Scouts. I didn’t sail again until I bought Tramontana in 2009. It took awhile to become a confident sailor again. With time and experience I love the trips I take on Tramontana. I enjoyed making the TH-cam videos and sharing them with others people who love small sailboats. Thank you for watching my videos. I hope you enjoy more in the future. David
Hi Louis, I carry two propane or butane canisters in each tube. They are made out of pvc and the bottom is vented so if they leak it will go overboard instead of in my bilge. Thanks for watching my video.
Hi Richard, it’s great to be on the water and sharing the beauty of the PNW for another cruising season. Thanks for continuing to follow my channel and sending comments to me.
Thanks for that. What a lovely little boat they are. Look forward to more.
Hi John, they’re beautiful sailboats that handle extremely well on the water. Thanks for watching my videos. David

Hi Nick, thanks for continuing to watch and comment on my channel. Have you had your Montgomery in the water yet?

Beautiful video, David! How long have you been sailing? It seems like much to learn in order to do it safely. Thank you for sharing your experiences!

What are the white vertical cylinders mounted outboard from your cockpit?
