ONE BIG MISTAKE: the market phase starts with the choice to discard one of the cards from a deck or not. After that you can purchase a cards. You CAN NOT, I REPEAT, YOU CAN NOT DISCARD (CYCLE) AFTER BUYING A CARD. If you do it like in this video you wil break the game because after the buying fase you flip over the new card to fill in the market and that card can have a patrol movement that must be triggered. If you would cycle again you csn basicly cheat and influence the movement in your favor by discarding it. Also in the rules it is first discard if you want to and then buying, then patrol movent (if available). Important.
HALOX30 Yeah, I was wondering about that. I had read part of the rules before watching the video, and had to go back and look at that section. I couldn’t find anything that said you could cycle after buying, so I had to check the comments to see if someone else caught that as well.
Thank you for pointing this out. I was going crazy looking through the Rules Reference about being able to cycle a market card AFTER you make a purchase, and there is absolutely nothing in the Rules that allow for that.
I know this game has been our for 2 yrs now but I just bought it as a Christmas present for a friend. I wanted to be a little prepared before we tried playing it on Christmas night. Thank you so much for taking your time to explain this game in such good detail.
This reminds me of the firefly board game. That's not a bad thing and there are enough differences that it's not a ripoff or anything. Besides FF usually does a good job with there games.
I have a question. If I have negative reputation with a faction and someone else buy from the market, making that patrol move against the buyer. But I am in the middle of them so the patrol passes by me. Do the patrol stop at me or will it keep moving? If it stops, do I have to fight it right away or wait for my turn? If I have to wait for my turn, do I fight it right away or can I play planning and action first? If so, can I move away from the patrol then since fighting is step 3? Sorry ir I sound stupid. Thanks for great video!
I loved Eldritch Horror (and I really like SW lore), so this looks like a "must buy" for me; still, this might need some more cards sooner rather than later, just like it happened with EH with the fundamental "Forsaken Lore" xpac.
excellent write up, you better explained the game than FFG on their gameplay video. This sounds like something I'd be very interested in and can't wait for the pre-order.
Sounds like house ruling PvP wouldn't be too difficult (would have been great to have PvP bounties). Looks a better design than Fallout. That experience is often confused because of the end game (even with the expansion).
Excellent job to! Excited to see where you channel goes in the future! if you need anything please let me know. Shoot me a message if you want any critique but very proud of your first video! Already subbed and shared!
Raddekopp Hopefully within the next two weeks. A couple members of our team are going to Star Wars Celebration next weekend (and will be demo’ing the game there), so we’ve got a bit of a backlog. :)
Omens of Steel We’d be happy to take a look at it! We have a few other projects in flight right now, but if you send us a copy, we’ll get to it as soon as possible!
Good tutorial. Great camera angle and the well timed pop-ups. Very well explained without a lot of superfluous information. Thank you!
I'm playing tonight for the 1st time and this was by far the best explanation video I've seen on TH-cam. Thank you!
Z2NV So glad you found this helpful!! Hope you enjoyed the game!
@@cardboardconsolepresents7852 coming from playing imperial assault and edge of empire it was nice to play a chill star wars game.
Very great tutorial. Sad you haven't uploaded any more videos. Good luck in the future. I've happily subscribed!

Great overview and breakdown of the game. Just picked it up, video was very helpful!
You have a nice slow, methodical style which works really well. Thank you.
Thanks this was really good
Great Video! Just got the game for Christmas and I'm really looking forward to playing my first ever solo board game 😁😁😁
It would be nice if you could zoom in on cards when you highlight things
probably the best explanation video, great job!

Great tutorial, thank you! My copy arrives in the post today!
Is there any word on expansions yet?

Great tutorial!
Thank you! Great summary, now I am even more excited about the game. When do you plan on doing your first run-through?

When you decide to capture the bounty does the token take up a slot. Like do you put him in your Cago since you are going to be delivering him/her?
Might be a bit late, but at 10:14 he puts the token from the board on the bounty card at the player dashboard.
So its unlimited bounties. Crazy.
@@TheErnieforss no, each bounty token is connected to a specific bounty card. So you can't put multiple bounties on 1 card.
What player interaction is there?
There is trading? Im hoping the different jobs lets u interact as well or im guessing u can fight other players?
That is hard to learn I never found a more complicated game but I'm determined to learn it😊
Will you make a video for solo rules?
skinflutey My buddy Chris filmed a video last week! Here’s a link:

Do your character and your ship each take separate damage?
Yes, your character and ship, each, hace their own health.
Very helpful, thanks.
Awesome video. Thanks for for doing it!
David Tye Thank you!

Hm... i'm still a bit hesitant. Not much interaction between the players :(
U fight players? U trade with players. What more do you want.
@@Dalmatinac3 Also it is FFG. Expansions will come.
Very useful thank you

What happens when you are defeated, but don't have 3,000 Credits to pay?
You pay all of the money you have and everything else is the same.
