Full cold showers EVERYDAY. It sucks, but if i can do that, I can do anything. Oh, I CAN do anything. 33 years with MS in a wheelchair full time. Cold showers are what i do after wim hoff at 4:30am. Kick ass or have yours kicked. Strive for excellence in all you do.
Bro, this is excellent. You have the discipline that I’ve been STRIVING for, and getting closer to every day. The Wim Hof method and cold showers are unbelievably beneficial, not just for mental resilience, but physiologically. Keep it up!
What benefits to that? I propose very little, and a better method would be to just wash your face in cold water. Why punish yourself to live an ideal? Take from Aristotle: Nothing to excess, neither to excess nor to deficiency!
I like point no. 4- MENTAL FORTITUDE IS RELATIVE. It's a moving target. We can't say we have reached our full potential in Mental Fortitude. Great content!
I just want to take a moment it thank you for this free content and manly wisdom. It is a blessing and an honor to hear what you have to say, and it is helping me on my journey to become a good man and working to make the world a better place (Something that the world is lacking) Let’s all come together to become the best we can be, men. 🙏
There should be so many more subscribers and views this channel and content are invaluable and imperative for the modern man from youngsters to oldschoolers to have in their daily content consumption. Thank you @Order Of Man!
Great insight! One thing that really stood out is the principle of engaging and learning to embrace the things that scare us- i.e. public speaking, confronting a close family member, friend.
Liittle life hack for getting through work you don't want to do: Work an 8 hour day at your job? Don't like your job? What specific task do you dislike the most that triggers you to feel demotivated ans annoyed? Is it a 1 hour task of your 8 hour day? 2 hours? Still less than the full 8 hours isn't it? But you can endure that, can't you? Break down your day by hours. Shift your focus to take the unpleasant parts of your day in smaller bits. It might help you find these tasks more manageable.
I've only been following you for a few weeks. I just want to thank you for your videos. Today's video hits home greatly. You showed me many strengths and weaknesses that undermine my health and relationships in my life and how I need to strengthen or ease up on.. Thanks..
Nothing against the guests you bring on and interview, but as I absorb more and more of your content I can say I get more gems from the videos like this where you just speak on a subject. All respect, this channel has become a difference maker for me as a husband & father.
I heard once that danger is real, but fear is a choice. We might just as well call the feelings we are experiencing "excitement", "motivational", energizing.
I just started reading Nick Saban's "How good do you want to be?" I'm less than 50 pages in, but when you recapped the 10 skill sets at the end I noticed how similar the two resources are (probably because you've both realized the same universal truths). Numbers 1, 6, 7, and 10 explicitly; and numbers 2, 8, and 9 can also be found. Again, I'm only about 50 pages in, and already I've seen this many parallels! From my early impressions of the book, I think you'd really enjoy it if you haven't already read it.
Greatest Channel on TH-cam ever discovered I have no idea how I've asked these questions a million-to-one times and did not discover your channel thank you for everything you're doing out there for me you and everyone in this community
So true on living to new data that you learn. What I learned from my parents and school, it can hurt. I have been trying to break the chains from my early life. I found a passion of living life differently and how I want to live. I like the quote of Ryan's tee shirt,"Be Unreasonable". I live everyday with a purpose and not idol through. Subperb podcast. Thank you!
I hear: Focus on the controllable. I think: internalize my own locus of control. Find the "thing"/subjects/hobbies that I can lose myself in and stop thinking about time as a factor in becoming more proficient at it or them and focus on those each chance I get to reclaim lost focus and fortitude.
There’s a very fine line between “emotional” and “spiritual” and being able to move emotions into spirit is in your control. It’s the difference between needing something, and DEMANDING it. See how that works?
Hey bro thank you for your service thank you for taking your time to make these videos and thank you for waking me up bless you and yours I'm still listening and I heard you stressing a little bit on sending too much at once the message is beautiful keep up the good work you may be saving lives out here and didn't even know it😁🎗🇺🇸🤟⚔
I'm 48 and have been through similar feelings. You need to rest. I run my own business and spent years with a go go go attitude. I burned myself out. I now see periods of real rest are an integral part of my business and even my life. I'm also disillusioned with life and society which doesn't help. I go on to neutral. Don't think of the future or past, I just exist. Strip all the crap out of your life. Live simply and reduce yourself to mindless tasks. For example, I clean my house every morning without thinking. After a while you get a bit of mental space and you can build yourself back up. Grant yourself the time to recover.
RJ3220 solid advice. We need worry meaning again. We must self craft that. Society has removed that from us. We must make our own meaning. Like spiritual entrepreneurship.
POP SMOKE AND GHOST!!! I feel you brother. I often feel grounded when I get back to nature: taking long walks w the dog, hiking, biking, just sitting on my patio focused on hearing the birds sing. Keep your chin up - you’ll make it the rest of the way
How can I quit overthinking ?😢..I got ,I mean I am brain bruised and forgetting life's scope ..The more I distract and get on track the more I fall into same trap again and again😅and I am proud I didn't do anything that hurts someone's feelings yet..but that hurts being in clumsy thoughts ,barring me from usual important lifestyle 😅I got used to stuffs now in my level of maturity and do stuffs to see someone happier than I am today..But my mind couldn't find subtle ways ,a sense of overcoming distressing weak thoughts that circle around-the-clock 😂..Could u plz help me out Sir ?..I will remain obliged forever ..and yes I am from India😊❤
I’m a 30 year old black lesbian here. I have had to learn to survive on my own for quite a long time without much tools. And lessons like this is solid. This is something that is not taught in school but is priceless how following these things can transform your life. So well spoken, straight to the point and full of value. Will listen to this every morning before on my 30 minute drive to work. Thank You!
I would say read code of conducts by others. I never joined the military but the Navy Seal code of conduct (creed) is amazing. I was a part of a mens ministry that adapted the Navy Seal creed. Use and adapt what works.
When I get nervous if I'm standing I ground myself. I know it sounds all spiritual but it's not really all that. I notice in a physical sense The bottom of my shins heavy and feel the whole surface area of my foot or shoe
many of these ideas from jordan, jocko and others may not be originally founded, but they are applied originally, and the lack of mentioning the source of inspiration doesnt strike me as plagiarism, rather as adoption and intergration of the ideas, as jorda would say, ryan has made these ideas he's own, as we all should. thanks for this one.

@@martynblackburn1977 washing your face does not have the same effect as the full body shower. PERIOD.

Everyone wants to see a final product, but nobody wants to see the struggle and scars developed from developing that product.
I so needed this today, rough night. I lost my cool, and control of who I want to be. Thanks!

What is a Man, that is a Man, that does not try to make this world better.
The Latin for I will find a way or make one...Aut viam inveniam Aut faciam.
Now at 42 I'm all burned out. And while this all seems great, I quietly cant wait to die........(I'm not suicidal, just tired)
