I love getting up before the rest of the world. There's something about that feeling of an early start that I love. It's my time to think, pray, workout etc.

This is something I’ve pondered on for about 2 years now. I am not a morning person but on occasion that I do get up early and have a good nights rest it does feel good. I am not a morning person but I believe it could change the game for me

Here too. Pray and be THANKFUL you were on the wake up list.
Have to work out in the morning, my tank gets too low in the afternoon at 62. Stretching as you age is SO important. I have stretched every morning for 42 years now. I walk straight and strong while many much younger are all slumped over and shuffling already, some in their 40's only.

I don't lol. I've been doing it every day for like the last 10 - 15 years ^_^. The only time I enjoy being up before the world is if I'm hunting, going hunting or something having to do with the woods. Waking up at 4:00 for work has been old ^_^.

I'm from Germany and work as a construction worker. I normally leave for work around 5:30 and work for 10 to 12 hours. Its hard to organize, but i still find time to do strentgh training for myself, take time for the family. Also i am into politics ans enjoy working on our cars or do woodworking. As i mentioned, its a hard thing do organize and sometimes 24 hours isnt quite enough time, but when you manage your time, its possible and it feels awesome to fullfill the day, rather than hanging around after working, like so many guys do. Hope you unterstand :)

Strength is good for many construction jobs but don't forget flexibility if you want to stay healthy in the long run. Construction work has ruined a lot of men with heavy lifting and repetitive stress. For me construction took it's toll to the point that I can't lift a bag of groceries without pain. Still, there was nothing to compare with the creative side, the problem solving and the accomplishments involved that made me want to get on that job. Of course there was more than enough dread work like roofing.

    Matthew 4:4 ESV
But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’"
    Hebrews 4:12 ESV
For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

I always got up at 4:30 am to be out the door by 5:30 am for work.
Now that I can work from home I get up at 5:15 am to get out the door for a 2 hour calasthenics workout.
Been doing that since June 1st and lost 20 pounds.

Putting our kids to bed early is one of the best thing we have done for our marriage. That is our time together at the end of the day. The friends I have that let their children go to bed whenever also have wild kids and their kids dictate their life. Having a bed time does a lot for your children like providing structure and a schedule. Great point and glad you brought it up

Oh, it's the worst when people don't put their kids to bed on time. I feel bad for the kids because they're not gonna learn as well or grow as well. Or do anything as well without the proper amount of sleep

In my world, people that don't put their kids to bed on timer. Dumb a**** and seem almost incompetent. If you can't grasp the basic understanding that the kids have to go to bed early. Then I just don't know.
Then I just don't know what to say.

I wake up at 0310. I drink a glass of water and eat a small breakfast. I drive to the gym and get there just before 0400. Workout untill 0500 and drive back home. 0515 untill 0600 is for me to get dressed and drink coffee. I wake up the family at 0600 and once everyone is out of bed I leave for work. I get to work about 30 minutes early because it allows me to slowly roll into the task that I have to do before the team gets there and needs my attention. At the end of the day, the wife and myself spend from 2200-2230 or so talking in bed before we end the night. If I don't have a full planned out day, I dont sleep well.

Sounds like a section out of "The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People."
    1. Begin with the end in mind
    2. What gets measured gets
    accomplished
    3. Read the same good book 20
    times before reading 20 good
    books.
If you don't have an agenda for your day how do you know if you had a productive day? How do you know if you are moving the needle?

One of the things I enjoyed when I was growing up, and probably my favorite, was riding bicycle along with my friends or just by myself. Its one of the things that made me happy and also what I looked forward to when I would get home from school. So every morning before work and weekends I ride my bike 5 miles. What better way to start the day doing something ive loved all my life.

I've been pretty lazy lately, but I'll still share what my ideal morning/evening routine used to be and what I want to return to.
0400 - wake up, get up, pray, get ready for day
0430 - make breakfast, eat breakfast, read Bible, pray, wash dishes
0515 - go to work, exercise, shower, get ready for work
    0730 - work, lunch
1630 - to-do list (college, study, church on Sunday, small tasks, house work, yard work, truck work, etc.)
1915 - go home for evening, make to-do list for next day, make lunch for next day, unwind
2000 - get ready for bed, go to bed, pray, go to sleep

For me, my morning starts with two separate alarms. One at 5 AM, the other at 5:30AM. The first alarm is a soft tone meant to slowly pull me out of a deep sleep because I’m a heavy sleeper, and I allow myself at least one snooze push. The 5:30 alarm is loud and obnoxious, and non-snoozable. After I’m up, I shave while brewing a coffee. Then as I drink the coffee, I’m into my NKJV Bible to see what lessons/encouragement my Lord Jesus wants me to know, followed by prayer and gratitude.

*The water tip is super important* The best way to confirm if one is dehydrated is to look at the color of your pee in the bathroom. If it's yellow color you definitely need water. The best is a clear pee without much yellow.
Great tips man thanks and blessings from Costa Rica 👍

  • @jeremymenning56
    @jeremymenning56 5 ปีที่แล้ว +51

The #1 cause of dehydration is aspiration.
    We aspirate in our sleep.
Think about sleeping in an unventilated one person tent. When you wake up, all that water in the inside of your tent and all over your gear...is water that left your body from aspiration.
Drink water first thing. You need it.

I honestly thought you meant aspiration caused perspiration. It makes sense, too - when you aspire to something, you need to exert to reach it, and exertion leads to sweating.
I used to sweat in my sleep. A lot. Would sometimes wake up with my pillow and sheets completely soaked. Turns out my bedroom was just too warm. Open a window, sleep with a thinner blanket, ditch the pyjamas, and now it's all much better.

The thing I’ve realized about waking up early is that if you wake up early you can do what you need to get done, workout, hobbies, cleaning, reading, craftsmanship, etc you can get them worked on before the day goes on an you have other tasks added to the list we other it be family or work related. Than at the end of the day you don’t need to work on the projects because you’ve done them in the morning,

Solid male advice. When I learned the concept of gratitude, my whole outlook on life changed. Just thankful for everything I have and just for being alive. I had so much more ( materialistically, financially, socially) in my past, but I was always comparing myself to those that had more ( bigger house, nicer vehicle, hotter girlfriend) now I have so much less than before, but I am at peace and happy for once in my life.

I shave in the morning in the shower. The steam opens up the pores and reduces infected and in grown hair follicles. Also keeps the sink free of stuble that tends to annoy the women-folk. Also frees up the sink for others to use. Even if you shut off the water while you shower you'll enjoy your shave more, shave more often, and feel much cleaner. $10 fogless mirror off Amazon. And it has changed my shaving experience.

We agree on more things than we disagree for sure! Not that my opinion matters in the least! Just my take... We all need to focus on the Lord before we get consumed with ourself! But I know that the word can change one's whole day! I'm still learning the Lord's truth's myself. Just found proverbs 3:21 till the end last night. What a message that I needed! I hope that someone will be helped in that scripture!

I am part of a men's group called mkp which is the mankind project. It is not what I would recommend for any man. The order of man is more open to Christianity and the actual way of how a man should act. I have been struggling with myself because of the mkp project. I have stumbled on the order of man by accident and it relates more to me then anything else I have tried and have done. I would seriously consider looking into the order of man if you have no idea what Ryan is talking about. I will continue watching this channel as long as it is around. I wish I could wake up early but I work swing shift. I love day shift cause I’m up at 330 at work by 5 and I’m happier and have more energy than my night shift rotation.

As much as I find the information in this useful, it is from a man's perspective where he has already founded his house. He has children, a wife, likely an independent businessman and wealthy enough to where he can spend 3.5 hrs getting ready. What of a young man getting his wealth started, accumulated, etc?

I like that you are training her up to be a leader.
As for the content l, i found it hard to get to the main point of the video.
I learnt that as black people we shouldnt derive our value and validation from white people or anyone. We have been a great people from the begining.
    Thank you for this vid

There's really nothing going on after 8pm. Lock up, turn in. Get up by 4am. 6 hours before I go to work. It's a great time of day.

Actually I've seen searches that show that you shouldn't consume caffeine even 6 hours before bed. So if hypothetically you go to at 11 pm, you shouldn't have a coffee after 5pm.

“Go to bed earlier” 👍, got up at 355 this morning, my lady said “great, so that that means you’re going to be in bed by 8 tonight?” I said, “yep, gotta get after tomorrow morning too babe!”

I'm not sure I can really take advantage of early. So I work 4 days for 10 hours a day, I get up around 5:30 to get ready to go to work, I know that if I need 8 hours of sleep that changes the amount of time I have after work . Thus if I want to get up earlier I have to go to bed earlier regardless of whatever I may want to do if I have those items as non variables then that bounds what options I have. I was getting up at 5 but if I want to get out of work at a reasonable time and actually have a day then I don't really have a big gap. I don't know I just feel that a couple hours isn't conducive either, you can stay up later I guess but think the same roadblocks occur.

Like the list. I follow The Northmen Guild for years now. If you get a chance, read their code of ethics. Parallels exactly things you say in lots of your videos.

Without trying you have prescribed a sadhana or "daily spiritual practice" that astonishing mirrors yoga tradition. Everything you have said from waking up early, start with water stretching, train your mind and study scripture is the yoga way.
