Designed by TOPS employee Martin Murillo, the Bull Trout was the winner of the 3rd annual TOPS employee design contest. Martin is an avid fisherman, so the Bull Trout was built with fishing related tasks in mind but the compact size and ergonomic design makes it an excellent choice for every day carry. It’s got comfortable burlap Micarta handles, a stainless 154cm blade and a classic chocolate brown leather belt sheath.

I've been watching and waiting for this one, for a very long time. It seems like years now to me, since Martin drew this one up, and submitted it.
It will do very well, and I can even imaging now after seeing it. That a larger version, would be a fantastic idea, as a follow-up.

This thing is very intriguing. Years ago I made a similar knife where the finger choil was deep into the bladestock like this. I think its an excellent design aspect that isn't used enough. I like that it provides a choil without getting in the way of the blade working against a surface which is something that really annoys me about most designs.

Is there a coating on the blade ? I eat with my knifes I try not to get any with a coating
There is no coating on the blade, just a heavy tumbled finish!
