Love that mercenary blade with the camo!
Thank you! You are the man! I've been trying to figure out how and where to carry a fixed blade with all the gear I currently carry. You've given me lots of ways to try. It's only a get the f off me and to protect the firearm, as I already carry a folder. Thanks again!
Thank you for the thorough run-down! I thought I had it all figured out, then I started thinking about a 17" TKell offering & 🍕🍕🍕!
Mmmmm pizza
I just received my first fixed blade today. It came with a kydex sheath and a big bulky Terzuola belt clip. I removed that belt clip and replaced it with a strong but long metal spring clip from a firearm holster that I no longer use. This enabled me to pocket carry. HOWEVER, this clip is 3.3 inches long and hangs way down the front of my pants. It works but looks stupid. I google searched for clips but only found cheap plastic clips on the jungle site. Then I stumbled onto this video. These DCC clips are exactly what I am looking for! That along with your great video equals a successful day today! THANK YOU for the great explanations and demonstrations!! This was the first of your videos that I have seen. Looking forward to more. SUBSCRIBED
Thank you very much. Now you need one of my blades, add a DCC clip to your order and you’ll be set.
Definitely one of my favorite video topics, nice on the out side the boot carry
Thank you sir.
Great tutorial! This gives a lot of options for what ever your comfortable with. I suggest people pick a style and practice deploying your tool over and over till your muscle memory takes over so you can have your knife ready when you need it.
You are right. Always train for muscle memory.
@@TkellKnives 💯🙌
Thank you great video! Awesome!
I have been carrying outside the waistband, tip up at 4 o'clock for years now. Never seen anyone else do it. I build my own sheath for a secure fit, though. It's concealed, easy to access in several grip styles, and reaching for it looks like reaching for my wallet.
Great video. The outside of the boot carry is an awesome idea I hadn't thought of. For me, a short static line pocket carry, or cross-draw appendix (horizontal) is most comfortable for around town. If I'm out of town, though, I'll hang a larger knife, or wear a neck knife.
Going to try static line carry. That looks really comfortable
Enjoyed the vid. My favorite is the same as your favorite. Weak side outside waist. I carry a Lionsteel H1. It also has a handle ring. It is my EDC as well as hiking, fishing, and camping. I prefer the H1 over the H2.
Excellent and informative video. It's possible to carry OWB totally concealed. Also one could carry upside down with a shoulder rig.
Static line pocket carry is my favorite!
I carry a pistol 3-4 o'clock and that works best for me in all situations. I carry a tkell raider with the orange handle. An absolutely beautiful knife.
I usually carry mine all day.
Me too man, I just can’t get down with AIWB pistol carry. Thank you brother
Excellent video thanks🇺🇲
Man, you can move with those blades! I need a friend like that. 👏
GREAT KNIVES GREAT VIDEO.
Great info ! Thanks and God bless.
Awesome videos thanks
I finally settled on cross draw weak side and pocket weak side reverse grip.
Thank god somone made CQB knifes. Till now I always had long range knifes but these days are over
Great video. Thank you!
Thank you 🙏
Ordered my knife cant wait to see how i like it these look incredible lov it thanks 1st of many knifes
Thank you very much brother.
Smart video, it sure took me a while to figure stuff like this out on my own, I wish I had seen a video like this years ago. This is why I love this company, I can tell the knives and their use is well thought out.
Thank you very much.
Cool video. I carry my Spyderco Ronin 2 cross draw.
Education is key! I really enjoy your videos. While I'm new to the EDC of a fixed blade, your instructions help me to figure out how to carry. Allowing me to see which is the most comfortable and practical for my daily carry and situation. I love my Combatant and I can't wait for my others to arrive giving me even more choices. TKELL, best blade ever! Thanks Tim & Team TKELL! God Bless!!!
Thank you brother. God bless!
Thank you for for this video very well done very educational thank you for all you do God Bless
You are welcome sir. God Bless!
I EDC a Hogue Extrak in a Kydex sheath. It is great carrying a fixed blade.
Great video
Weak side cross draw is my favorite spot to EDC ringed/kbit style fixed blades but sometimes I’ll zip-tie left of my spare mag carrying AIWB. Just watched Frogman’s Gideon V3 video a few days back and thinking that’ll be my first TKell.
Fantastic video sir
Thank you Sir
Cross draw on the left. Accessible with both hands.
Me too brother.
Great video. You got a new sub.
Thank you very much
IBEW electrician here. Love you set up and knives. Currently out of work with back injury but as soon as I’m able financially I’m going to be a patreon subscriber and get several knives. One is never enough.
Thank you Brother. I hope you heal up soon
@@TkellKnives thank you. 🙏
Love the handwork! Haha
I do enjoy carrying in a shoulder rig. Although a good rig is very difficult to find. For smaller blades I use a deep pocket. ⚔️🗡️🔪👍🏽
I love all the looks of your knives..i wish i could have 1 but unfortunately im out here in the Philippines..
I made a shoulder carry rig for one of my fixed blade knives and carry it handle down under my right arm. I can reach it with either hand, it works good for me and it allows me to conceal a bigger knife plus I can have my pistol under my left arm if I want.
Brilliant!
Good info
You must be in Arizona ha great video thanks
I’m 70 and sell farms and ranches for a living. I have always carried a folder but have decided I want a fixed blade for my last knife. I was going to buy a Montana Knife Co blade, but I am sick of rushing to buy one of their blades in a rush online. I have missed on three tries. I can’t place an order with them and just wait for delivery. I am going to look at your knives and I appreciate this type of informative video. Thanks for that! Jim in Oregon
Thank you for watching Jim. We are out of stock of most models, but I’d be happy to help you if you send an email or give us a call.
@@TkellKnives thank you so much. Will go to your website and send an email!
Georgia has some of the best ccw laws. No permit required for concealed firearms and concealment doesnt even matter for knives. Anything over 12 inches of blade length and a permit is required unless you're on/in your property.
I run an ESEE PR4 with TKC scales in a TKC kydex sheath with an ulticlip on it. Rides in my front pocket. This is the way.
Love this TKell knife. My son has your knife for EDC and he loves it. I would love to win this nice knife before I end up buying one 😁.
I like that small knife with the kydex ring slab. I’m in a wheelchair so I carry 5” or smaller blades. I also open carry a neck knife.
Thank you 🙏
Appreciate the knowledge you provide on the video. I do have one question though what kind of suspenders are you using?
Thank you. I made them. I’m working on getting them manufactured.
I edc a esee 3 plain edge. Fixed Blade is so durable/dependable
Thank you for this and I have a question if you’d be willing to answer it. I have to use at minimum a cane on my dominant side at all times. Do you have any advice on carrying or tips for using a knife when it has to be your weakest side that’s used? Thank you.
Your products look great, your videos are fun, and I love your values. Do you have any unaffiliated reviews? Or maybe a test video from someone who can be really impartial? I can't seem to find any. thanks!
There are many many people that have reviewed my blades that are unaffiliated with me. Some have first reviewed my blades based on our popularity and later reached out after loving them and asked for affiliate links.
I just discovered ur knives. Great video I like u and ur knives. Looked to buy one everything sold out. I'll wait for one to come available. God bless
Thank you 🙏 I have some dropping very soon. Sign up for the newsletter on the website to get the early notification on when that happens. They have been selling out really quickly these days. God Bless
Awesome 👍 I'll keep my eyes peeled got to have one or ten lol. I've watched all ur videos ur good ppl sending love from west Virginia 🙏 have safe happy holidays
@scotthackney1450 thank brother. Have a Merry Christmas. God bless
Carry scout/horizontal on your side or near your front.
Tim, love your knives and videos! Hey man, for appendix carry check out havok holsters and apocalypse holsters. Put the gunzee padding on the back and you, even with a belly, can carry appendix too. If youre interested in doing so. Have a nice day brother!
Thank you very much Brother.
I’ll check them out thank you
I like either scout or appendix cross draw or w.e number one is called
Boot carry, if right handed, carry on the inside of your leg on the LEFT side. Easier to access for a righty. Just reverse for a lefty. 😁
Awesome tutorial was curious which DCC mod 4 clip you recommend for 3-4in blades. I went on their site and there's 4-5different mod 4. Thanks for any help
The different mod 4 are for different screw hole patterns. The one I sell on my site under the clips drop down menu fit my sheaths.
I EDC a Tracker knife and I absolutely love it. I still use my strong arm from time to time. But my Tracker is just top notch for what I need in a fixed blade. I am constantly working with wood, cutting, chopping, notching, gutting and starting fires. So it just can’t be beat as far as my needs in a knife go. Plus, I’m out in the countryside and my state has open carry so nobody bats an eye at a big knife, if I’m not getting a compliment on it people usually just ask me what it is because more often than not, people are unfamiliar with Tracker style knives. Also, if you’re looking or wanting a Tracker knife, please do not buy the Tom Brown Tracker from Tops knives. Buy the Russon Tracker from Utah Knife works. Russon was the original designer of the Tracker, Tom Brown stole his design and continues to profit off of his theft to this day. Anyway, love the video, very informative. God bless.
Great video. Not knife related, but what jeans are you wearing?
Thank you. Those are the 5.11 Defender flex jeans. They are very good.
Is there any Canadian distribution?
Ok what was that last one called with the horizontal sheath?
Nice video. Just subed
I challenge anyone to break a lock on a buck 110 I have done Miracles with that knife it's still locked solid
Thanks for making this in depth tutorial sir! That camo steel on the Nightshade Reverse Tanto is 🔥🔥🔥Is that an custom option that is available?
#Want
Yes sir. You just get the custom engraving and write it in the notes .
Hello, I really liked this number 3 from the list and I am interested in buying one, but unfortunately I live in the UK and I saw on the website that you do not ship in the UK...
We do ship to UK. I believe it’s just double edged blades that aren’t allowed.
Cross draw owb is my favorite as well, but the handle always pokes out my shirt
Cross Draw all day long. Been doing it for 3 years now, haven’t touched my folders in years…..
That said you have to find the right knife size and weight. I wear sweatpants A LOT, so any knife over 6 ounces is cumbersome and is going to require two clips. Also I prefer kydex pancake sheaths so you have two points of contact for mounting the clip, picture Esse Izula II sheath. Single screw mount will shift and move, becomes real annoying. Also prefer a blade between 2.75”- 3.25”, seems to be the sweet spot. Any larger and the knife is too heavy, for sweatpants at least. Now if you’re wearing pants with a belt it opens up your options, but I don’t like EDC a heavy knife.
Pistol on the hip is heavy enough.
How can I place order for Piranha with ring?
Interested purchasing that piranha knife and ring style handle and I can’t find the combination anywhere on the website. Sentry grips doesn’t list the piranha knife as compatible one
The sentry grip has a drop-down menu that allows you to select piranha as the blade type. If you need further assistance reach out through the contact form and I’ll get you squared away.
@@TkellKnives I got it all sorted out! I’ll be placing my order shortly
I use it as a neck knife. Under my shirt and sweatshirt.
Off topic...what suspenders are those? I've been looking for an X back for awhile...
I actually make them. I’ve had LOTS of request to sell them.
@@TkellKnives well if you do...I'd buy one. No one make a purpose built suspenders for ccw.
Good morning sir! Questions not related to the video, hope thats ok. What brand of holster are you using for the Sig. There are way too many choices for leather out there, and most of them have horrible retention. Dont even know where to start. Was also wondering if the layer under your t-shirt is a flexible vest. Sorry i know these arent related to the video. Im a heavier guy and trying to get a working solution. Ty
Yes sir. I love the alien gear shapeshift holster. I’m wearing suspenders that I made/ modified and an undershirt. I talk about them here : th-cam.com/video/sA6vBJtL9O4/w-d-xo.html These two things work well for me being heavier set.
@@TkellKnives thank you! 🙏
I always thought neck carry was really stupid. I have been carrying a spartan blades fixie. I have used it as a chisel, pry bar and just about everything else you can imagine. Lol. I tried for almost a year to try different attachment options. With a pistol spare mag and and all the other stuff I carry. It was just not comfortable at all.
IF you use anything besides a ball chain, use some kind of break away attachment device.
Exactly
I can't wait to get my hands on a combatant
Kyle Defoor is the first guy that I truly respect that I heard say not to refer to your non dominant hand as “weak hand “ and I completely agree with him! He refers to the non dominant hand as “OTHER STRONG HAND “ and now the important reasons why! First think about how we are conditioning our brain when we refer to any part of our body as weak! 2nd as Christians we understand that our words carry power when we speak them out, we should never speak out in the atmosphere of weakness as we are made strong in CHRIST! I encourage all of us to Speak Gods blessings over ourselves and our households every morning and walk in the fullness of Jesus and His blessings for ourselves and our household!
In service to the King,
Rick
The industry standard nomenclature is weak hand. Everyone knows exactly what is meant by that and it’s not projecting to my brain that I’m weak or less of a Christian. 99.9% of people would have no idea what you’re talking about when training if you make up new names for what hand you’re taking about.
@@TkellKnivesI edited my post as it wasn’t directed at you as much as to all that might read it, but after reading it again I see why you perceived that way!
Well. Now I Know why i have trouble finding knife/sheath combos.
I carry A." Rambo"style small of back 30*degree angle. B.Clipped to the pocket . C. IWB deep carry only an inch or two protruding .
Younger guy that wears mostly clothes that aren’t worn with a belt outside of work and scrubs for work so no belt there, any tips for carrying fixed blades with that kind of clothing?
The Discreet Carry Concepts monoblock works perfect in that scenario. I have them for order along with your blade on my site
I’d really like to know what brand of boot yer wearing.
Danner Reckoning
Can you send a link of where to get that watch all I see is scout 40 no 4700 series anywhere on Google
Yeah it’s the scout 40. 4700 is the model: TW4B04700
timex.com/products/expedition-scout-40mm-fabric-strap-watch-t49961
Biggest challenge is to be able to conceal carry a fixed blade in all positions (walking, sitting in car, sitting at the desk). And also without obstruction to my phone and pepper spray.
I can´t run around like a hillbilly with my knife in scout position at my engineering job for instance. Also to be able to carry say at the GYM with shorts with small pockets etc.
It´s not that easy. Carrying in a jeans maybe with a jacket on or something, no problem I could probably hide an ax this way, but being able to comfortably sit etc. is a different story.
You will notice many people take out their knife and gun in a car because it is uncomfortable, but then you are running the risk of being lazy and just walk somewhere really quick and that´s where you need the gun or knife for some situation.
Cross draw appendix (horizontal) with my blades with the sheaths that are the width of your belt easily carry in all of those situations. Pair it with a DCC monoblock and it grabs onto fabric. If you like pocket carry vertical the DCC mod4 clips are excellent
Thanks for the input, I will try this out soon. Right now I do pocket carry with a ulti clip 3.3 and before I had my White River knife simply in the pocket as is.
Do you have a useful position for pepper spray ? I just have it in my left pocket but it can be annoying at times. I can not legally carry a firearm so I have to make due with a pepper spray instead.@@TkellKnives
Will you be having any Independence Day sales?
Yes sir.
What was that last knife at #1? Maybe it came up earlier in the video and I didn't notice it sooner.
tkellknives.com/products/nightstalker%c2%a9 I also listed each blade links in the description. Thanks for watching.
Wait did I mishear? 1957? World War I? Sounds like you were saying World War One was fought in 1957.
@Paul-mx8sf No, I misspoke. Not sure if you’re aware that humans do that from time to time. Effing keyboard cops
I'd love to buy one, never in
stock
My Blades sell out through preorder very fast. Sign up for the newsletter to be notified when they open up for reservation.
I need a 4" at least knife with o ring for edc/tactical use. what do you offer me ?
4” blade length or overall length?
blade length@@TkellKnives
The closest would be the Nighthawk, blade length is 3.5. The opshawk is over 4, but no ring. Another option would be a sentry grip on the Striker.
Can I get a discount on a neck knife? Maybe a factory 2nd......
I would probably really appreciate these knives a whole lot more if I could actually PURCHASE one!
They sell out fast these days. The best way to get one is to get on the newsletter on my website and keep a watch on the announcements for preorder drops. I can only make so many and keep the quality high and still make them 100% in America. Which is something I won’t compromise on. There are a few blades left in the current preorders that are available on the website now, but not many
@@TkellKnives my son and I both actively work in law enforcement and we have been trying to catch them available and I did sign up on your news letter but have yet receive any reply or updates. I am interested in your knives because of the quality and would t expect you to lower your standards, I don’t place a price on quality or safety and this why I am interested in one of your knives as an EDC.
@stump118669 Send me an email
and I’ll see if I can help you out. Thank you sir.
Night shade count down. We are so close to release date. 😫
Weak side in front of my magazine carrier. Unless I am driving a long distance then my glock is there and my knife is strong side.
I've been trying to get one of these knives for almost a year they're always sold out I'll walk out one day I guess
These go on sale for reservation today at 12pm est. thanks!
I knew a guy from South Africa that carried a 7.5 inch bladed Bowie Strong side IWB! Yeah he was a skinny turd. 😁
Trage alle meine messer vorne, nennt sich übrigens Appendix carry, scout carry ist hinten 😉
😎😎😎😎😎😎
Did you say the ballchains have been made in NY since 1957, then say "World War I"?
See other comments. I misspoke.
@@TkellKnives Hey, it's the internet, man. It's not always easy to tell if someone is misspeaking or just a lackwit.
I was just thinking of carrying a fixed blade. I carry a gun and a folding knife. Want to add something new
For ultimate concealment don't forget prison wallet carry. Not for the faint of heart. 😮😅
Don't wear straight leg jeans when boot carrying.
Wear boot cut jeans, they're easier to pull up to access the knife .
Sir, i have irrational passion for knives. What are the odds of getting internship with you.
I love your knife but it the pricey
I'm the greatest fixed blade
not the topic for today, but it looks like your hammer-fired pistol is being carried hammer down? huh, why?
Mostly because I want too, and partly because a SA/DA with a de-cocker (the P226 Legion seen in this video) allows for the round in the chamber to fired with the pull of a trigger just like a striker fired firearm without a manual safety.
@@TkellKnives SA/DA justify’s this completely and is consistent with expertise. VERY well done video on a subject you practice everyday, I’m grateful to learn from you, thank you.
World War I was 1957?
I would say that observation is your strong suit. However, you obviously didn’t read the other comments or the description where it states that I misspoke. I suspect though, that you’re too busy being a troll to read things.
World war 1, 1957?
Please consider the fact that people misspeak at times. The reference wasn’t for ww1 but for the ball chain manufacturers origins. Either way mistakes happen.
