Thanks so much Lynn 😊
Great variety of techniques, thanks.
Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed it ❤️
I like the mark msking on top of the pattern tissues.
Yes that came out well I liked that one too 😀
Would LOVE a video on making the dyed papers, especially avocado.
Great 👍 I will start saving my avocado 🥑 stones 😀
I got my gelli plate out today and had my first attempt at making some papers. I realize I need a larger area to work, but I loved it.
That’s great to hear! It can get messy very quickly lol 😂
Fun. New ideas…thanks
Glad you enjoyed it Pam ❤😊
Lovely to watch. It’s all personal but the one I find least attractive is the comb. I’m really dying to try these techniques! Thankyou
It’s important to notice the mark making we enjoy visually, if you use them often these become like your own hand writing ✍️ enjoy exploring your own visual language Jane 😀❤️
@@susanmccreevyartist I think it’s the uniformity. I must be a rebel. I have just watched your second video and actually your comb prints cut up were lovely. It’s definitely the vision. Fabulous. Thankyou

Ahh thank you 😊 🙌
I would be very interested to see how you dye your papers. I love all the inspiration i get from your vlogs. Although my husband is now convinced i'm going a little mad cos I went scouring my local pound shop for things to make interesting marks on my gelli plate with lol 🤣
Ha ha my other half brought me back a silicon scraper from Svalsberg the most northern town in the world! Because he’d seen me searching in Tesco for one to use on my gelli plate 😂 now that’s devotion for you 💗💗💗
I have bought food just for the packaging! 😂 i keep my 3-D found objects in a big Tupperware bin under the table.
I love your videos! At about the 9 minute mark, it looks like you are using a pane of glass. Is that what you're using or is it a gelli plate?
Hi there, it’s a sheet of Perspex glass would work fine too though 👌
Hi Susan,
I commented the other day about my friend's gelli plate being sticky. She said it is a Stampendous creative palette monoprinting plate. The instructions suggested adding gel medium to the paint. I know I did not add that when I had done it in the past. I'm sorry- you had kindly replied to my comments but I'm not sure where that conversation went. Is it in my e-mails or does itjust disappear after a short time?
Thanks for your help.
Cynthia
Hi Cynthia, you should be able to scroll down and find it in the messages here or search youtube in your emails? I haven’t tried that brand I am afraid and haven’t used gel medium to stop a plate being sticky. Gel Press and Gelli Arts are brands that I have tried and they both work really well for the processes that I use. Hope the gel medium helps with your plate, it’s worth a try if that is what they suggest, or return it if it is not fit for the purpose it is designed for. Susan x
Thank you for your inspirational video! So many new techniques to try!! 😊 Do you wash the stamps straight away and do they come clean??
If you are talking about the little plastic ones, they washed clean. I keep a bucket of water beside me and throw things in there until I’m ready to go to the sink. The ones on card I don’t put in the sink, I just let the paint dry on them
@@susanmccreevyartist Thank you. Yes, I meant the little plastic ones 😄 I wasn’t sure if the ink/paint would clog them up but now I know what to do. I treat my stencils the same way to avoid the paint drying on them. The little plastic stamp made such interesting patterns - I may have to buy one or two 😆
They didn’t clog up, if you left them to dry completely that might have been an issue though. The bucket of water in the studio is the key to success!
