That's funny. When you said at the end, how you want to make a character who's built around Recall Knowledge, I've actually been working on that myself. I've based him on a Navigator-style Persona user, like Rise or Futaba from Persona 4 and 5 respectively. Uther Darrow, the college student bookish-Orc, is a Psychic with the Infinite Eye/Gathered Lore subclasses. I gave him the Loremaster Dedication, with Daze as his only means of damage and the rest of his repertoire is filled with party support/enemy de-buff spells.
I love this vid as its clarified many parts of this for me. Also, as someone about to play a Thaumaturge, learning that the roll is secret is super helpful. I was worried about the unconcious possiblity of meta-gaming and such, but that makes my life easier in that regard. Cheers mate!

great video, im playing a spellshot in my next campaign and they have a unique reload that doubles as a recall knowledge. this made it a lot clearer.
