Kassad is a disgusting analyst, worse than YNK I'm ok with people having biased but I feel kassad can only analyse situation based on the fact that he is riding Niko dick. At least with YNK u can listen him on other subjects than Niko. I saw a content with thorin where he was saying that shiro was better than ZywOo 2 mounths ago the dude would do everything to keep Niko the higher possible.
@GurtWakadus in a sense. Faze, even when winning. Was playing "4v5" I don't think his fragging is the issue, it's that he lacks BOTH fragging AND calling. You need to be good in atleast one or the other as an igl. But he's a terrible fragger, and mediocre at best at calling Karrigan , generally speaking , is a slightly better fragger than hooxi, but more importantly, is leaaaguesss above hooxi as a caller
@@63alkash lmaoo well I mean it's true. Perhaps a year ago karrigan was notably better as a fragger than hooxi. Or in 2019-2020 But 2023 wise the differences are marginal.
Hot take:Faze should approach Yekindar to replace Rain and then have Karrigan groom him into an IGL and then in like a year or 2 have Karrigan retire to coach, then sign a new young agressive rifler and have Yekindar step into the IGL role.
Do you think Yekindar could fill in Rain’s roles right now though? I know Rain does play aggressively in certain situations but his style and Yekindar’s seem very different to me. A move like that could change the whole dynamic of the team and ruin the chemistry. If Rain is ready to call it quits they should go for NAF if anything
@davidmontgomery1442 there’s aggressive and passive players but being a pure entry doesn’t really exist in the game anymore and especially if we’re calling rain an entry that’s really not what I’ve observed. Teams don’t play like it’s 2016 anymore. NAF could pretty much fill any role in any strat which is just like rain
IMO that over simplifies the game a lot right now. In an era where teams default most of the time and don’t have a set strat called at the beginning of a round, first man in depends on a lot of micro situations. It’s map dependent, spawn dependent, pathing, mid rounding etc. defined roles don’t apply nearly as much as they used to. That’s my interpretation of it but also something I’ve gathered by listening to pros when asked about roles in definitive terms like that
Yo everyone. Thanks for the great content. I've really enjoyed every episode of HTPM. I do have a suggestion though. In future episodes, maybe it would be good to have a short section at the beginning of each HTPM episode that reviews hot takes made in the previous episode. In this way, the episodes will flow seamlessly together and there is more context of results.
In an interview Karrigan said Robban could be replaced by nobody. He then proved this by replacing him - with literally nobody- and sweeping their Blast group all the same. FaZe is the perfect team for fresh coaches like Neo or Ynk to start out, I'm just confused as to why they didn't keep Innershine.
Maui overrates the everliving shit out of Mezzi as an IGL lmao. How many times have we heard in interviews that he gets a lot of mid round help from roej. The differences in structure are more likely down to coaches.
Hot take, Kassad to G2 as headcoach, keep swanny as assistant coach get a real igl for G2, imagine if you could sweet talk Karrigan to take on that role. Give them a month maybe even 2 weeks they would be #1 dominating every other team.
G2 just went from almost losing to EG at Blast Premier Fall Groups 2023 to making it to the grand finals of Cologne 2023. I don’t understand this team at all.
give me what Thorin is on. edit: Yekindar put up a .66 and a 7 rating in his last two outings. Why are we talking about praising Daps and Joka Steve instead of criticizing them for letting Yekindar hijack the team and push away the fanbase? Why are we pretending Rainwaker is some amazing diamond in the rough when he's been just alright? Do we really think NAF is a legitimate star player instead of just a really good second or third fiddle on the team? There were so many other players out there. If you wanted a pure anchor, interz is willing to go international from the looks of it. These TL signings signify that they are going the cheaper route and becoming an OG-tier org instead of balling out and becoming Faze, G2, Vitality etc.
It seems like a good idea to pay Robban more for 6 months and have Neo shadow him during that time, but reports seem to suggest that Faze are in the shit up to their eyebrows financially.
I remember watching the NaVi x Heroic game during blast and i was literally shook by how unbeatable heroic seemed in some rounds, all of their players just looked godlike. On nuke there was a round where jabi and tesses demolished NaVi split push in less then 10 seconds by hitting 5 one deags during an eco against full buy. Heroic deadass fired 5 shots in 10 seconds during the entire round and every single one was a deagle headshot... What the fuck do you even do against that
Hard disagree about NA scene being in the worst state. It feels like it's picking up from a year or two ago. It has the fewest good teams, but a lot of T2 is finally signed and salaried
NiKo is in G2 2 years and 8 month, other than Hunter, everyone else is new, even coach. So tell me, who is that person who want play this Puggy playstyle, which will always be inconsistent? Like if he joined NaVi with aleksib and Blade, would he really play in their system?
he had aleksib and systematically dismantled the structure aleksi put in place u can watch the team become more and more “niko esque” the longer they were together he’s a poisoned chalice
You guys talked about Neo not being the best coach for Faze atm. Do you think someone like XTQZZ could be a good fit ? With his TSM deal falling through he's back on the market. He's got some good tier 1 experience.
THORIN STAAAHP YELLING INTO THE MICROPHONE!!!! OR PUT IN A COMPRESSOR/LIMITER IN YOU MIC CHANNEL. It's ridiculous how poor the audio in your microphone sounds every single episode.
Wtf is Kassad talking about? Yekindar had a great showing in his 1st torny with a brand new lineup. Here is a hot take - Nafany to G2 and they need a coach who brings ALOT of energy.
why every single one of Niko's former teammates always says that Niko is one of the best ones of all time, he is very very good at rifling and don't make many mistakes like others, but here I am seeing Niko should bench himself? you guys are out of your mind actually

Either kick Hooxi after Cologne or just find a different team, because G2 ain't winning anything playing 4v5 every match

And then sabotaged it with the "Niko can be IGL" take. That's not a hot take, its blasphemy atp 😂
“Niko should bench himself”

Waited for the Niko take the whole episode and Kassad's delivery didnt disappoint.
Think Kassad had a mic issue towards the end, couldn’t really head him over the sound of him gargling NiKo’s balls :>
Niko IGL? Finally a fucking hot take.

"Niko benching himself to activate the 6 majors" sounds like some busted yugioh spell effect
Thorin sounds more British when he's under the weather
the divulgence into the craziest takes at the end was gold
