In my opinion SK was still the best team in the world in 2017. They didn't win the major in Krakow for the following reasons. 1. They played several tournaments in a row immediately before the Major and won most of them. 2. Astralis took a 4 week break before the Major and SK didn't have time to change strategies. 3. Astralis has analyzed and anti-stratted SK down to the smallest detail, which was particularly evident on Overpass. SK was an open book for everyone because they traveled a lot and played a lot and won a lot right before the major and Astralis took advantage of that. What happens when a team doesn't offer a sample size in the form of demos and Astralis had to play against them quite unprepared can be seen in the defeat against Gambit later in the tournament. In my opinion, this would have been the third major victory for SK if Astralis hadn't studied SK in detail with the help of the 4 week break and thus kicked them out of the tournament. Just watch Device vs SK on Overpass. He knew what's gonna happen before even Fallen knew it. He studied them in Detail and SK had no chance.
Probably the greatest cheaters in the history of Counter-Strike Fallen & Coldzera, from what I remember well Fallen owned or now owns Gamers Club in Brazil (a kind of FACEIt in Europe), the history of the trio FalleN, Coldzera & Taco dates back to the Luminosity team when these "great" Counter-Strike players started playing with cheats right after the heyday of Flusha and the Fnatic gaming team. There followed probably the worst Counter-Strike years of my life as a Counter-Strike spectator and former 1.6 pro player. Luminosity needed to make a name for themselves and they needed to grab a new contract but on this side much bigger and more valuable and this one was a contract with a legendary Counter-Strike team called SK-Gaming. Back in 2015 at ESL One Katowice 2015, ESL started checking players' peripherals, it was the time when FalleN and his team had to make the big move. Apparently this period lasted until late 2017 and nothing happened. I'd like to bring awareness to the cheating issues in Counter-Strike and the future of this game. In this game at pro level we have always had cheaters in all years of Counter-Strike in 1.6, Source, CSGO and probably will be in Counter Strike 2.
