hi 65yr old lady here. love turbog, and esp. bomberman. at one time, i had everything that nec sold. in so fla., they were giving these away with purchase of appliances. i was hooked. my neighbor kids would hang at my house 24-7 and it was so much fun!! sold everything on ebay, but, i kept bomberman, and a few others. used my hand held all the time. sure wish i had even a simple system again, but even those seem so high on ebay. well, i'll just keep looking. thanks for your great posts!!
The single reason to buy a TurboTap. I don't even remember how many times four or five of us got together (bringing our controllers over) and ended up playing this for hours on end.
@lxcainxl Totally!!! When I got the 3-in-one Disc, I already had Bonk1 and 2. You know? But, I didn't have Bomberman. So, I was excited to see it hidden in there. Ha ha. :) Thanks for watching!
I've been a huge Bomberman fan ever since I was little, though ironically the first game I started was somewhat unrelated to the main series (ever played Bomberman Hero on N64?) Regardless, I eventually played other titles, and I loved a good sum of them. My fav game atm is probably Bomberman 64. I managed to play this version (and have '93 & '94 on wii), and love them, though it bugged me that this and '93 only had 1 item per level like in the old games . =/ Great review as alway Chris. :)
Great review Chris, But I was surprised how little you touched the Multiplexer aspect of the game, Hell I think I only bought Bomberman 2,3 & 4 on the SNES for the MP modes.
@malducci Yepper. It also came out "first" with the Super System Card upgrade (if you bought the card WITH the Gate of Thunder Disc). Loooooved that whole thing. Funny part.....I already had the two Bonk games AND Bomberman when I picked it up. Sigh. Ha ha Thanks for watching.
@kenbefound In the U.S. we only got the first one and Bomberman '93 (which I love). The '94 version never made it here but I heard it was quite great. Thanks for watching.
@squirm13 It is actually hidden in the 3-in-one (which actually should be 4, ha ha) Gate of Thunder Disc that came with the Turbo Duo.....but initially first shipped with the Super System card. Thanks for watching my friend, as always!
Level 8-7 was ridiculous. Those octopus and cheeseburger looking dudes that can walk through blocks were everywhere, and would swarm before you could even set off a single bomb. It basically boils down to luck; you have to start with a grid layout with some room to move, and then run like hell!
@duhmez That is odd it would say that. It literally finished uploading about ten minutes ago so......their stats are incorrect. Ha ha. Thanks my friend.
Another great review from spida1a. I always loved Bomberman and even had Super Bomberman on my cell phone. However, when I put it in storage so other games could go on my cell phone, somehow it got erased from the files and that five to six bucks I spent on it went to waste. Sigh. Still, I will probably get a Bomberman game or two on the Virtual Console. Keep up the reviews, spida1a! I enjoy them!
@pocketmego Totally agree. Since they had NO great third-party licenses to release in America (those were all saved for the PC-Engine), thank GOD for Hudson! Ha ha. :)
This game came as a pack-in for the Turbo Duo. But you had to unlock it with a special code in the 3-in-1 C, at the title. I had lots of fun with this game BITD. The sequels were better, but this one was still fun.
Ohh I remember playing this. For some reason I liked the white bomberman the least and always used my turbo tap (is that what it's called?) to play as the red one against the computer in multiplayer lol. Anyways great review as always.
Wow, this version had screen scrolling? I played Super Bomberman on SNES, and I think all the levels were confined to one screen, but it was still good.
@spida1a Hey. I'm thinking of downloading this onto my Wii's Virtual Console when this comes out! Great Review! Oh, will you also review Battle Lode Runner? I downloaded it, and I liked those remakes (Bomberman, and Battle Lode Runner) better than their NES counterparts. Battle Lode Runner, unlike it's original NES counterpart has not only a 5 player multiplayer, (like Bomberman) but also a game customization mode. It was so fun, I'd like to see it on Turboviews!
Good game but it gets repetetive after a while. Multiplayer is absolutely amazing and the end bosses are great. Great review chris. looking forward to the next.
@spida1a I was, I meant had the Bonk chip first....umm..arg. :) Yes, the GoT 3-in-1 CD! Found the game accidentally on it while fiddling with something else the game menu, looking at the screen and thinking, "what t F is that?!?" Took me a little bit to figure out exactly what I did to make it show up. Oh, back in the days of no Internet! Awesomely awesome game.
Bomberman '93 and Bomberman '94 are both available for download on the Wii but this one's not, strange, besides, as far as I can tell the only other Bomberman game available for download is Bomberman Hero for the N64, Bomberman for the NES and SNES don't seem to be available, but that's not related to this video. BTW what's a TurboBooster Plus?
Nice willpower, spida. I really thought you would "go there". lol The box art is definitely one of the worst on the TG. It's actually kinda creepy. heh Great review, as always. :)
@80sMTV Duuuude!!! Just get you a Wii!!! There are a bunch'a downloadable Turbo Grafx-16 and CDs titles available for download!!! Including (da-da-da-daaaaaa!) Splatter House, Blazing Lazers and yes!!! even Ys book 1&2!! Trust me, it's way cheaper and easier to buy a Wii and download these great games at 6 to 9 dollars a piece!
@spida1a Had Bonk 1, but not 2. Found this by accident years ago. Loved it so much I bought Magic Engine just to play it again years later ... and with 5 players. Total party game! :) :-D :( :-0 :-}~
@Nintega go troll elsewhere..did we get 94 (by far the best of the TG/PCE Bomberman games)....nope. Funny those you troll have FORGOTTEN more TG/PCE info than you've ever known.
This game is tits. i play it on my turbo duo 3 in 1 disc. With my secret code i can reveal the game and play it. This code is exclusive to my game disc no one else in the world has it. Toodles!
@EmotionCreator Thanks EmotionC! :)
Thanks for watching!
@PituDitu Totally. Thanks for watching!
@tiakpark LOL! :)
Thanks for watching!
Excellent video as always, cant wait for Turbo Views Volume 2. Bomberman is a must own if you have a TG-16.

Man you have one of the best review formats on youtube! keep them coming. 8)
The single reason to buy a TurboTap. I don't even remember how many times four or five of us got together (bringing our controllers over) and ended up playing this for hours on end.
@DCF363 Totally agree. Never played '94 since it never came here....but definitely.
Thanks for watching.

@avenuePad I almost mentioned the art. But.....I haven't mentioned it much in the past so....I don't want to play favorites. But, blech! Ha ha. :)
@defset Thanks my friend. Means a lot!
Ohya, baby! I wish I was there to play some multiple player with ya. Great review!
Great video, my fave bomber man games was one on the GBA where you used monster things XD
Hey man, I just want to say thanks for making all these vids... glad I subscribed.
PLEASE keep doing what you do!
I think there is a hidden bomberman game on the turbo duo, i dont have mine anymore, though. Great review.
@duhmez That is odd it would say that. It literally finished uploading about ten minutes ago so......their stats are incorrect. Ha ha.
Thanks my friend.
i love your reviews even though i didn't grow up with the turbographx16 i'm starting like it more and more, the more u review these games.
@lxcainxl Oh, sorry. I thought you were talking about the Gate of Thunder 3-in-one Disc. Ha ha. :)
Another great review from spida1a. I always loved Bomberman and even had Super Bomberman on my cell phone. @lothrazar I have never played any other versions but the TurboGrafx two releases. Sorry.
Thanks for watching.
@pocketmego Totally agree. Since they had NO great third-party licenses to release in America (those were all saved for the PC-Engine), thank GOD for Hudson! Ha ha. :)
@NadrianATRS To each his own my friend. Hell, I know some people who LOVE Deep Blue and Timeball. So.....ha ha. Thanks for watching!
@gumbyx84 Ha ha. Ah, Megaman..... :) :)
Thanks for watching!

Your videos are great man... I’m trying to get into collecting this great old console
Great game, my dad spent many hours on the NES version and he doesn't even play games, lol.
Great review as always Chris and i was wondering will we be seeing a video of Boxy Boy for the T-16 sometime in the future?
Ohh I remember playing this. For some reason I liked the white bomberman the least and always used my turbo tap (is that what it's called?) to play as the red one against the computer in multiplayer lol. Anyways great review as always.
Wow, this version had screen scrolling? I played Super Bomberman on SNES, and I think all the levels were confined to one screen, but it was still good.
1 word - FUN. Ionce played this with 3 friends for 10 hours straight.
bomberman 94 was one of the best bomberman games i played. The music was just great!
@spida1a Hey. I'm thinking of downloading this onto my Wii's Virtual Console when this comes out! Great Review! Oh, will you also review Battle Lode Runner? Good game but it gets repetetive after a while. Multiplayer is absolutely amazing and the end bosses are great. Great review chris. looking forward to the next.
I only played Amiga conversion of this game,called Dyna Blaster,very fun game.
@misterintellivision Yes it was. And it's excellent. Looking forward to playing that one in the future. :)
@metalmayhem007 Lol! Nice! I know...I spent hours on all the versions of Bomberman I could find (or so it seems). Ha ha! :)
Thanks for watching.
@IvoryGecko1993 Sure ivory! I'll put Load Runner on my "import" list to review sometime. It is good and I do have it. :)
I Wish I Could Get A TurboGrafx-16 Or Duo. It Looks So Awsome.
Great review as usual. Sadly the US never received the VASTLY superior sequels.
@nectarsis We did get '93, which is definitely a great game. Will get to that at some point. :) :)
haha great job man! i loved the bomberman for genesis best with the kangaroos
My my Aunt starts playing this she wont stop until the end.
I effing love this game; great *secret* bonus on the Duo disk! :D
There's a copy of this for sale downtown. Do you think I should pick this up or hold out for a copy of Bomberman '93?
Another great review. 8) Guess I don't know you as well as I think I do!
Thanks Chris. Almost to #50!!!
@spida1a

Nice review, one of the best Huey's!

do u plan on doing a review on bomberman 93
I hope spida1a does an unboxing of the TurboGrafx-16 Mini once it comes out or if Konami is courteous enough to give him a review copy of it.
@bongo870 Is there a code i need to put in to unluck the game in the cd 3 in 1? I have the 3 in 1 and i didnt know it was in there....
@Nintega Hey if a typo slip up makes you sleep better at night.
Awesome Review as always :-)
@Coolbird00 Lol! Seriously!
Nice willpower, spida. I really thought you would "go there". lol
The box art is definitely one of the worst on the TG. It's actually kinda creepy. heh
Great review, as always. :)
Bomberman kick ass. 😀👍🎮
i was hoping you would compare to other consoles versions.
also know as DynaBlaster ...
Another great review!

I do enjoy a good bomberman game. Although, I typically suck at them.
Sittin' around, drinking beer, playing video games...Hells yes!
Who needs those gay World of Warcraft lan parties.
Nice video
@spida1a really? i have the cd but dont remember that game in there...???
Bomberman is or is not a robot acorrding to super bomberman 2 but the 3 game has pretty bomber as a human which means that he could be one.
@zeogeox this bomber man isn't on virtual console only 93/94 are
@lxcainxl What's Magic Engine.
They messed this game up Bomberman is not a Robot!
homage = paid "2013 Annual Super Bomberman 2 Tournament"
@katsujinken10 Hmm. Well.....'93 is a little better (IMHO). Up to you.
@zedrein18 :) F'n A! :)
@duhmez Lol? Huh?
@spida1a
Had Bonk 1, but not 2. Found this by accident years ago. Loved it so much I bought Magic Engine just to play it again years later ... and with 5 players. Total party game! :) :-D :( :-0 :-}~
@pocketmego Pretty much. Sucked. But, that's life. Ha ha. :)
@malducci Err... 3-in-1 CD
Toodles!
doesnt this remind you of the game CRATERMAZE
Oh my... that box art is cringe worthy. I wouldn't mind stepping on the artists fingers with a sledge hammer.
An average looking bomber man game, 93 and 94 are better though
