Ok, i'm sure you will hear this a lot but when i owned this on nes i literally played it and beat it every single day for weeks! and, true story, i dug out my nes and games about 10 years later and saw this game and popped it in and was able to beat it yet again on 1 attempt as if i was back in time! such a great game and great review man! glad you are back in good health and posting again! you were missed :D
@phoenixlich Yes, I played it so much I was able to destroy the NES version as well. The Turbo version clipped me a bit more...it's a little harder. But, I still really like playing through this one. One of my favs! :) Thanks for watching, as always!

So good at making vids. This game has great music. I had this on my Turbo Express back in the 90's. I was the cool kid when other kids had puny game boys.
This was actually one of the games that always made me kind of jealous of TG-16 owners. Weirdly, I didn't even KNOW there was an NES version until I was much older, so I had no idea that I could've played at least SOME rendition - I just thought the two kids I knew with the TG-16s were extra-lucky. Another awesome review - I especially liked the clever effect where you animated the little screenshots of the levels at around 1:20.
Wow! This game looks awesome! I've given myself a rule that I have to have 45-50% of my TG/PCE collection cleared before buying any new games, but Jackie Chan is going to the #1 spot on my wishlist. I think I'll be close to 45% once I beat Dragon's Curse (I'm on Hawkman), so even if I'm under my clear ratio I'll break the rules a little and sneak this one in. hehe Great to see you back in action, Chris. :)

I have played this a bit but never got past stage 1. Looking at some of the sweet backgrounds and challenging stages, I now want to get this one back out of its box and...wait, I don't have a box for it...well get it out anyway>!
Chris is back at full speed. Good to see your doing fine. The guys at PCEngineFX were concerned. In the mid 90's I use to copy games on VHS for my friend. This was the only way for him to see new SNES and PS1 games other than coming to my house. His mom wouldn't let him get video games. She was a Jehovah Witness and strict about it. I also let him borrow my Lynx and let him keep it. Finally when he got a 486 DX he could sneak some gaming in. He never got a console till the XB360.

Great review as always, i have been meaning to play this game for a while. The PS1 Jackie Chan game turned out pretty decent, i think, but this seems way more fun.
Hey Spida, those "turtles" as you call them are actually called "Kappas" They're.......idk, kind of like legendary demon monsters that lurk in the water In the third TMNT movie, the turtles kept getting confused for Kappas
Hey Chris, thanks for the review. I never really liked the look of this game but I never actually gave it a chance. Maybe it was the size of the characters or the cartoonish graphics that made me think of it to be childish. It looks like a pretty decent platformer and ill be looking forward to picking it up. One of my favorite NES games. They did a great job on the TG16 with the addition stuff like the boss chase stage.

This version of Jackie Chan seems to be much more cleaner than the NES one. NES one was great. Can't wait to try this one out someday.
