It's also odd to release a give that was the fifth in the series without the prequels. But I guess Americans were used to that after all the Final Fantasy shenanigans! :D
TH-camr Kim Justice actually explained why he's a mole when he covered the original British computer games the character comes from The original computer game was created during a miner's strike in the 1980s when the British government was attacking local unions to break them up. The creator of the game's father was a miner and the game was a loose commentary on the ongoing strike and the union busting going on. He was a mole because moles are underground and it was about miners. The game was a huge hit and multiple sequels were made leading up to this turbo graphics 16 game. There were several European programmers who wrote games for the turbo graphics 16 because they were experts at programming 8-bit CPUs and the turbo graphics 16 was like a supercharged 8-bit CPU.
No problemo! Oh, and a little trivia: This game was made in Great Britain (as was the computer versions), since the Turbo was going to be released in Europe, but for some reason, it wasn't released there.
Great review!! Gremlin Graphics also did Top Gear for the SNES, and some Amiga games. I wonder what the Atari 8 bit games are like, because I'd like to get an Atari 800XL at some point.
The Indiana Jones esque title always made me laugh. Its like its some sort of subliminal advertising but nobody seems to mention it. I wonder if there is an actual similarity between the two but i highly doubt it. Awesome in depth review. I enjoy watching earlier videos over and over. Ive been anxious to see a devils crush review for a while but im sure its in the works. Each video until then is still amazing. :)
Thanks for the wonderful compliments. I try to do a good, detailed job so that......even if you don't "agree with me".......at least you know where I'm coming from. You know? Thanks again for spending the time watching the vids and commenting. It's great to have you on board! :)
I bought this game when it first came out. Spida1a, you're absolutely right when you said, " You need to have a lot of patience to play through this game" ! Guess what ? I beat this game ! It was a pain, and frustrating, but it still felt rewarding after the final credits rolled ! Keep up the great work man !
Awsome review! Thanks for all the time and effort you put into these. If i could make review suggestion, you should talk more about your turbo duo, i know you talked about it already, but I really like your videos talking about when you bought your turbografx and turbografx cd and It was really cool to hear your story of buying them. Anyway, thanks again!
I completely agree with what you said during your "verdict" phase, especially the part about how you were really looking forward to this game when you first saw screenshots in magazines. I was excited for this game too back then, and for all the same reasons you listed! Alas...
Great suggestion, thanks. In fact, I have two more "on camera extras" planned for the future. The first one is on the Super System Card upgrade and the second is, ironically, on the TurboDuo. So......they're coming. I just have a handful of reviews to get through first. Thanks again!!!
I know. Seriously! The sad part is I kind of "like" the game. I just can't recommend it because it just plays like hell. You know? It's one of those "truly a shame" games. The next uploaded vid will be Part 2 of the pin-collection. Hoping next week. :) Thanks!
Ha ha. I NEVER watch or read reviews before posting one of my own. You know? So, "after" I completed mine, I watched yours for the game. It's funny how we think alike sometimes. You kept mentioning the same stuff. Sigh....long lost Turbo brothers my friend. :) Take care!!
Oh C'mon Chris I was looking forward to playing this since I passed on it back in the day!Seriously though you really outdo yourself with each new review...hell forget Turboviews volume 2...how about a 1.5?Anyone with me?
It's pretty odd that a British developer made the game, yet the TG was never released there (officially) Also Gremlin Graphics are now known as Sumo Digital. They did all the Outrun 2 ports and are doing that Sonic All Stars Racing out in a few weeks.
hmm.. well I am always looking for more games for my TG-16 and this doesn't terrible. buuuuut there are probably other ones i'd rather pick up first. Thanks for posting another great review!
how funny....I THINK I was 9 or 10 (i'm 30 now) when this game came out and I felt the same way about the game back then as you just reviewed it....I WANTED to like it but there were enough frustrating quirks that ultimately made me never want to beat it....
The reason he's a mole is that he comes from an old computer game, and at the time the animator probably found it easy to draw a mole with the limited graphics
No wonder why this generation makes movies and games with the exact same name as the original. Like Sonic The Hedgehos, Final Destination, Fast and Furious, Wolfenstien Etc:D
It was a dark day years and years ago when i got this game and Gunboat at the same time. : ( I never like those two game and i have very bad memories towards Impossamole i rate it high on my all time games i hate....yes sadly it left that much of a bad taste in my mouth Chris. Anyway....Great video Chris! and i always look forward to them....When will be seeing your follow up pinball collection videos?
The style of the Impossamole Font looks identical to the font in the Awesome Possum game for genesis..... actually the whole art-style of this game seems identical. There has to be some relation between these two anthropomorphic weirdos.
Ohya no big deal. If there were 20 people doing reviews on this game I bet most of them would mention the stupid monkey since he's the most desireable enemy to beat up yet you can't! Besides you sound sober in your reviews dude. Game on Turbo brother!
Honestly, I really kind of like the game. You know? But, I just "can't" recommend it because of those reasons! It pains me. I want to recommend them ALL. Ha ha :)
too bad about this port, Im a big fan of Gremlin so I ask are there more Gremlin graphics games for the console ?, thanks anyway. I Always thought why ZooL (Amiga's mascot) was never ported on the TG-16.
Thanksfor help me to confirm it is horrible :) I tried it 5 minutes... and... f**k... I looked for a review... afraid... because maybe "it could be me"... failing hits andplaying like shit... but ok, it is not me xDDD
Well, reviews up until #50 are already spoken for. But, I'll put that on the request list.
Thanks for watching!!
It's also odd to release a give that was the fifth in the series without the prequels.

Well, I am truly honored. Thanks for your support. It means a ton!
:)
Ha ha. Oh....I can think of numerous games it will work lovely on! :)
Thanks for watching!
No problemo!
Oh, and a little trivia: This game was made in Great Britain (as was the computer versions), since the Turbo was going to be released in Europe, but for some reason, it wasn't released there.
If you get a chance to play it sometime, let me know .
Thanks for watching!!
@janmansde3dede Off the top of my head I cannot think of any other Gremlins. But, there might be and it is escaping.
Thanks for watching! :)
Thanks for watching!
@beyondthesevoices I was disappointed, yes. :(
Thanks for watching!
UGH! I don't want to talk about it. Ha ha!! Thanks for watching.
Ha ha. No kidding? I'll have to see how "alike" we were.
:)
Thanks for watching!!
Great review!! Gremlin Graphics also did Top Gear for the SNES, and some Amiga games. I wonder what the Atari 8 bit games are like, because I'd like to get an Atari 800XL at some point.
Awesome game review as always. I noticed that the Impossamole title looks a lot like the Indiana Jones title.
Another stellar review, my friend. Can't wait until you have enough reviews done for Turbo Views Vol 2!

@bartsimpson83 Ooooooh, yes! I remember that one! Ha ha. :)
Thanks for watching!!
@jedstuhr Totally!!! :)
Thanks for watching.

Well said!!!!!

Thanks for watching!
I can't believe missed this video ten years ago=(
Ha ha. Yes!
I will have to check out Monty on C-64 sometime. Always open for something new....I never played it. Thanks for the tip!
Ha ha. And, I would recommend you do. :)
Thanks for the compliments and for watching my friend! :)
Kudos for you getting through this one, spida. :) Great review!
Awesome review! Always looking forward to your reviews.
i actually like how 16 games sometimes force you to lose energy
I looked forward to this review!
Great job as always, Chris!
Ha ha. I NEVER watch or read reviews before posting one of my own. You know? So, "after" I completed mine, I watched yours for the game.

This man is the best reviewer on youtube!
Oh C'mon Chris I was looking forward to playing this since I passed on it back in the day!Seriously though you really outdo yourself with each new review...hell forget Turboviews volume 2...how about a 1.5?Anyone with me?
another awesome review! been a while since the last one but worth the wait!
Ha ha. Yeah........I actually had 10 or so in there originally but had to cut the video down. LOL! :)
I had never heard of this game. Great review of a little unknown game. Good stuff as always sir.
I remember this game when I was a kid, my cousins had it, it was amazing.. so much nostalgia, difficult game
Hey, I always look forward to friends like you watching! :)
Thanks!!
Thanks my friend!
We got this game but not Castlevania X rondo of blood. Really
I love the "Oh come on!" count!
Always great as usual!
It's pretty odd that a British developer made the game, yet the TG was never released there (officially)
Also Gremlin Graphics are now known as Sumo Digital. They did all the Outrun 2 ports and are doing that Sonic All Stars Racing out in a few weeks.
Great review - had me in stitches! C'mon!!
Monty on the Run is one of my favorite C-64 games,i didnt knew there was a Monty game for TG-16...Im lucky :}
Possibly, the same team also made WonderDog for the WonderMega, so maybe they did the same deal twice!
Great, thanks a lot!
Thanks my friend. Now, if I can only impress RobMan. LOL :)
@spida1a You must have a genesis to play your scd, right?
hmm.. well I am always looking for more games for my TG-16 and this doesn't terrible. buuuuut there are probably other ones i'd rather pick up first. Thanks for posting another great review!
Hey, thanks a lot!! :)

Love your reviews man.

Great review, I thought when you got to the soup can that would be an ohh comeon #4 cause that sounds ridiculous to me =)
Yeah it seems almost likeable then you play it...grrrrr!
Cool can't wait for the pin-collection vid Chris.
No wonder why this generation makes movies and games with the exact same name as the original.
Like Sonic The Hedgehos, Final Destination, Fast and Furious, Wolfenstien Etc:D
Fantastic review Chris...when is your next review?
Ha ha. I can definitely see that. :)
OH C'MON!
Yeah, we pretty much got screwed all the time, had no choice and never knew it. Ha ha! :)
Ha ha. Hmm, that's a good question. It's pretty bad though .
Thanks!
It was a dark day years and years ago when i got this game and Gunboat at the same time. : (

Crammed in the ole' basement? Atari 2600, Nintendo Entertainment System, Gameboy, Genesis, Sega CD, Playstation, N64.
Plus the Wii.
I know. SERIOUSLY! :)
Ha ha. Yeah.....me, too! LOL
Another great review. Impossamole could of been a great game but whoever play-tested it must of been drunk.
LOL!
Yeah, I should calm down. Ha ha. :)
My guess is that NEC was impressed with their library of work so they decided to do a partnership. Who knew the game was going to be this bad?
C'mon Man!!!...haha....great review.
The style of the Impossamole Font looks identical to the font in the Awesome Possum game for genesis..... actually the whole art-style of this game seems identical.
There has to be some relation between these two anthropomorphic weirdos.
Definitely. Ha ha.

@rngpro Ah, Devil's Crush. Coming at some point. Ha ha. :) :)
also I'm a calm guy that... oh com'on!
Honestly, I really kind of like the game. You know? But, I just "can't" recommend it because of those reasons!
It pains me. I want to recommend them ALL. Ha ha :)
Aweso.....OH COME ON!
Such sad hit detection :(
I wonder what a great way to code this is :/
Funny thing is Wonderdog is just as cheesey.
too bad about this port,
Im a big fan of Gremlin so I ask are there more Gremlin graphics games for
the console ?, thanks anyway.
I Always thought why ZooL (Amiga's mascot) was never ported on the TG-16.
There were some good mascot games, but like this game and awesome possum, there were also some terrible ones.
Ha ha!!!
while i realize i was a child, i could not beat a single stage of this game! it was impossiBOLE!! i cant recommend it period :(
Seriously! LOL!
Aww, c'mon!!
