- My unexpected hospital stay at 37 weeks pregnant turned into a very challenging induction and labor at 37 weeks! I tell our full birth story in detail starting from the very beginning when I got hospitalized at almost 37 weeks pregnant and then had to stay in the hospital until I turned 37 weeks at which time they induced me into labor and our son was delivered at exactly 37 weeks.
Our birth story started out with the unexpected hospital stay for 2 health scares that ended up being very serious. I had to stay in the hospital for close monitoring. The benefits far outweighed the risks in getting our son out early in order to keep me and baby safe.

Can’t wait for that IVF video, I’m almost 24 weeks from IVF also advanced maternal age and would love to know what to expect in the 3rd trimester! So far they’ve put me on aspirin for preeclampsia prevention. Also congratulations!

Please please make the video of IVF pregnancies. I’m at 9 weeks and already it’s been a roller coaster. This week I had some bleeding for 3 days so I had to be on bed rest and taking some anti contraction medication, I’m 40yo and have multiple autoimmune conditions so I’m trying to stay positive but also want to have as much information as possible.

Thank you for sharing your story! I’m 2 days away from a due date induction and have been nervous about the pitocin and timing of the epidural. Your story gave me insight on how to approach labor as I do want to be able to move around as much as possible but also understand that our bodies must be given the time to rest so we can effectively push. Congrats on the birth of your beautiful baby boy and again, thank you for your realness and sharing your story.

37 weeks is a perfect week to have a healthy baby. I’m a nurse as well and just had my ivf baby boy December 23. I was on aspirin throughout pregnancy to help Prevent preeclampsia ( I’m over age 40) and my pressure actually stayed normal. So perhaps it helped.
I gave birth at 37 +4 at home with my midwife. Mfm Dr mentioned starting more monitoring after 38 weeks due to my age.
And congratulations to you too!! Yeah I don’t know why I wasn’t put on aspirin. I didn’t even know about it either, but I’ll be definitely asking about it for next time!

My chiropractor said going through contractions and giving birth standing up in the squatting position is helpful and reduces the time for labor (gravity helps push out the baby similar to what you said in your video). Hopefully that position helped give birth quicker.
Yes I think your chiropractor is right! In fact I know I wouldn’t have been able to progress the labor as fast as I did if I wasn’t constantly moving around.

Congrats. Sleep when u can. That will help with the milk. And eat snack. My 3rd child was 37 . 1. 6 lb 10 Oz boy. First a girl Feb 28th,1979. but due April 9th. Birth weight 4 lb 12 Oz girl. In NICU 3 wks, . 2nd a girl, born 21 Aug 85, due 15 Sept. 5 lb 6 Oz, has several very rare genetic diseases. Has 4 kids with health Genetic diseases.
