Me a long time player sitting on thousands of unused gold plates with my 100+ +13 gears watching this: "I see." Real talk, I'm probably way past the point where this video would help me, since if you can just +13 everything, there's no real downside to doing it. It was still informative and got to the point fairly quickly.
I'm also a long time player, but the only way I would have 100+ +13 gears with thousands of plates left over is if I didn't +13 multiple copies of BiS UR gear (3 Wyvern, 3 Tenrai, 3 457mm, multiple Pure Oxy Torps, DD + CL guns, etc.)...

I almost always prefer to upgrade rainbow equipment instead of gold just basically because of the lesser chance of being powercreeped. Especially in the summer, when new PR is coming
Correction: Upgrading auxiliaries concurrently instead of in one go is more efficient. Unlike guns, torpedoes, missiles and planes, they get the same stat boost per upgrade level (e.g. Steam Catapult always gets 6 AVI from +11 to +13). Thus spreading about auxiliary plates is perfectly fine. It also means if the player finds a reason to switch which auxiliary they are upgrading they have slightly more plates leftover, before they resume prioritisation. It's niche of course, but still useful to new players.
Disagree because even with auxiliaries, it's better to rush the highest upgrades for the strongest damage dealer. To give an extreme example to illustrate this, you would want two +13 shell on Bismarck Zwei over 6 +11 shells across 3 battleships, one of them likely being Vanguard, because Bismarck Zwei as a recipient of a bunch of buffs will likely deal the most damage by a wide margin and make the most out of the upgrades. Upgrading auxiliaries concurrently would only be a valid strategy if all main fleet ships were roughly equal in final damage output, which is rarely the case.
@@JimmyAL That was not my point. I am speaking about the same ship, not two separate ships. That's why I mentioned the line about switching prioritisation if necessary.
Oh ok, you mean like upgrading 2 shells to +11, effectively saving 5 plates. That makes more sense, but even then, most battleships will prefer one shell over the other and have to drop the other shell for another auxiliary like HPFCR. Using Bismarck Zwei again as an example, if you replaced the +11 black shell with an HPFCR out of necessity, you would lose access to the upgrade. Same goes for having 2 +11 catapults and having to equip a beacon. It could be something to consider if you're aware of it, but not significant enough to make an exception to the rule just for it.
@@JimmyAL I gave an example of an identical gear (steam catapult), we also have rainbow torp now that I come to think of it. As I said this is niche, but it helps. I don't think comparing non-identical auxiliaries in slot is relevant, because at that point it isn't the same stat increase.
The only thing i didn't know was the level increase. I knew it definitely buffed my guns as they did more damage after i upgraded them. I just didn't know it was actually a good chunk. Planes. Honestly, it depends on whatever the player decides to run. But most would benefit from the stat increase. Assuming ya got enough BPs. Me. Most of my fleets have 9 or 10 pieces of equipment, and i prioritized my first 2 fleets. which happens to be my strongest. Having high AA and FP, as well as having strong countermeasures for subs or CQC main fleet support. (Though it's really just me swapping items when scenerios exist) Sadly, i dont have much UR equipment. Which i fully agree upgrading past 10 is not worth it unless you wale your balls off or grind for hours.
I thought it only add OPSI's 3%, so that's why my damage was always a bit off with meta ships. OMG thank you so much for this information. i want ask is it a priority to upgrade 1-2 High Standard Fire Control Radar as it give hit and FP? same as the rainbow trop auxiliary?
HPFCR is worth upgrading. As for oxytorp, if you have upgraded everything you need and have 1k+ aux plates lying around with nothing to upgrade then go for it
I wud. It Increases ur vanguards survivability which is vital to end game content. Sometimes the content is just so hard that u need that little 5% EHP boost to last long enuf to fire the last needed volley/air strike. I have only raised 5 repair toolkits to +11 and no washing machines past +10. That’s mainly bcuz I’ve been focusing so much more on raising rainbow dildos to +13. “Only” 16 +13 rainbow dildos rn. Still not enuf tho.
Machines yes, toolbox I'd rather upgrade gold collab 550hp gear to +13, like celestial body from polaris war archive. It's unlikely you use a lot of low hp destroyers in hard content.
how about the core data shop ddg missile? do you think it's worth it to +13 it or should I just +13 another steam catapult? (I have 3 +13 of it) or +13 HPFCR? (I have none +13 of it).
Cool Video but I have 1 more Question about the OpSI Damage Boostt (11, 12, 13) Does it Increase the Ships Damage by 3% or only the Damage of the +13 Equipment? Since you compared it to Siren Killer Skill
Like I said in the video, for equipment that have a hidden coefficient, such as guns and torps, it only increases the coefficient of the weapon, which is a modifier of the weapon's damage. For equipment that don't, for example planes, the increase is to the base damage of the equipment, which you can see before you click confirm on an upgrade.
It basically rivals soyuz and vanguard at the same time. Idk about soyuz but she not only buff and debuffs but also deals significantly more damage than vanguard wich beats her buffs

(Opinion) SB3C is an intermediate equipment that has no place once you get enough Tenrais, so eventually they will become wasted plates. Contrast that to something like the Champagne gun which is another piece of gold equipment but still very useful even if you have unlimited copies of all of the rainbow guns, and I would not recommend upgrading the SB3C. Remember that the dive bomber slot is only 1/3 slots of a carrier, so a single plane does not increase a carrier's damage by 18%, only 1/3 of that on average. Using the SB3C at +10 won't be a huge detriment in most cases. F4U pirate is only unique in its AA skill which is not affected by upgrades. HVAR is a good piece of equipment and I have many at +13, but BF109G is good against both light and medium armor. While the HVAR is better against light, it's not as good against medium as the BF109G is against light, so I would only upgrade it after you have all the BF109G's that you need. Lastly for the pancake, it can be a decent option if you're really struggling with AA in chapter 15, but not necessary by any means.
