I'm just posting this now because I'm using her and thought of this video but man, Fargo is putting up super good numbers for me. Obviously its just "end screen damage" but I'm shocked at how good it is so far. Once she's fully raised I'll really need to test her out.
I would also include non-statsticks into statsticks tier list. If you need a statstick are you going to ignore unused Plymouth? No, right? Even without her BB buff her damage is solid.
What happened to Mainz? She does great damage among the CL pool and she's soo bulky that you can just throw damage boosting AUX gear on her to widen that gap even further. All while still being bulkier than the vast majority of CL's.
Being bulky is one thing, but her damage? I guess no. Ibuki with her new module literally blasted the mobs with her torpedo barrage, plymouth outright beat her in the CL category. Even sandy has better damage than her thanks to her new module too. She was getting dusted with newer ships and upgrades.
A few damage boosting aux items isnt that great of an increase here, as damage boosting aux items more benefit BBs, CV and Torp heavy carries. Mainz is neither of those and even with the best FP boosting aux items, the gap is just too great to consider her. Not taking pure RP/waifu comps into account obviously. The good thing about this game is if its strictly campaign content, you can pretty much make anything work and RP/Waifu fleets can work as well. Ive seen people clear 15-4 with collection-tier ships.

Was sleeping on eldridge for some reason, so I still don't have her skills maxed out , now that I know she can outperform literally agir I am going to start using her, still find it weird how a destroyer escort gets so much power but hey, if that means I spend less time in chapter 15 the better.
Shes not that powerful. Shes only really slotted for her 10 second immunity gimmick. Similar to Helena for her debuff only. Even 125, oathed, retrofitted and augmented, Eldridges damage is abysmal. Most fights don't really last long enough to take full advantage of her gimmick, at least not enough to slot her over a much more outright powerful ship. I keep her around for niche scenarios where her immunity is absolutely crucial, which isn't very many things.
From my limited testing (mostly in OpSi and 14-4), Watarase on various mob and boss fights beats Bayard on damage quite often (using a regular flagship with 457), and occasionally by rather large margins. Depending on how you set up the flagship (like ones with preloads, fast loads, or even Kearsarge with 5+ second stagger) you can make her damage go to very high numbers. I think it'd be difficult to tier her due to how heavily you can skew her damage based on flagship choice.
I have Jintsuu META at 125 and use her a lot. She is definitely mid-low A at least imo. Haven't used her in the end game campaign maps and I'm not sure she would do well there but in boss fights (and exercises if that counts) she's been good. I think of her as kinda just a better Noshiro. Slightly lower HP is made up for with the zombie skill. Better skills and better important stats (RLD, TRP, FP is the same as Noshiro). Noshiro is a better waifu though.
Pretty solid, I would say Wakatsuki and z23 retrofit are amazing value for the oil they cost to field and deserve a better score though... Especially considering how easy it is for newbs to get z23 and how much torp she adds when you need it for a requirement.
Not sure why you say Mogadors DPS is lacking, but I do notice most people neglect the fine print on her skill. If you maximize her EVA her DPS soars. With +13 beaver squad and steering gear shes pulls almost identical DPS (with just +10 on her UR gun) than my Hinden does with double +13 drake guns and +13 torp. Before I put the EVA items on her, I would have agreed that her DPS is a bit lacking.
She's still underrated and I don't understand why. She's surprisingly tanky and only Unzen beats her in damage... maybe Hindenburg too but they're close
On the topic of vanguard I have got a question. I do like to use the shimanto gun (Triple 150mm proto) on ships like Kronshtadt and Kala ideas. But how does the gun work, does it benefit in any way of the ships‘ AA stats? In the case of Emden e.g. who doesn’t have an aa Slot, does her stat contribute if the gun is equipped?
I think Wichita meta is a suicide dps that's supposed to be used in metas and other short fights, not campaign. I ran her 3 times against herself and she was pulling Plymouth-tier damage, but rarely survived to the end.
If your vanguard speed is slow enough and the boss doesn't move much you can use the USS straight torps with slight homing on Unzen for much higher hit rate than regular fan spread torpedoes since unlike destroyers she doesn't have the reduced torpedo spread perk. i think watarse deserve A, she got no utility but has high potential based on equipment (15% dmg acc and rld) and the way she can trigger her barrage wich have stupid dmg i use hyuga to proc it 6 time per minute maybe we ll get something better in the future
I use Nubian because history. The tribal class is the Genesis of the modern Destroyer and their crew elites of the royal navy. Though I am not backed by data I feel the skill of nubian's debuff skill though weaker than Helena, would be more consistent on single targets, obviously I am incredibly biased and not as well informed as you hope people and enlighten me on the more exact stats and performances. I guess I just hope Nubian is good like she was in history. P.S. Sorry for rambling Tldr: Nubian was good in history, interesting skill, I hope she good

*squints hard double-checking all tiers* No Yuudachi retro? She's at least B tier. Definitely power crept for regular players, but an absolute vanguard beast for newer players and in the age of Shimakaze, i could throw her, shima, and noshiro on a vangaurd fleet and let them chew through any map. 😂
As expected. An all S-tier fleet, barring some niche as-needed utility, will always perform at the top and you should have no issues clearing pretty much any content, aside from a few META/monthly Challenge Mode bosses that require a synergy gimmick to easily clear

Shimakaze can clear 99% of the game solo on manual, including every single event. That alone makes her S tier. Easily more valid than performance in one off team comps for singular META fights.
i was surprised to see unzen and shimakaze not together since both got their place depending on the boss with shimakaze having far better hit value and unzen better damage potential

On Auto, Helena requires a lot of gimp speed adjusting from everyone else to take full advantage of, while also being an abymsal ship and a waste of a slot IMO. You can put pretty much any top damage dealer there and in my tests the damage difference between them and Helena is greater than the added damage the rest of the team does with Helena, combined.

Z23 has been my main Vanguard girl since 2017 so she's instantly S tier (Yes even cleared W15 with her)
For campaign content, sure. You can make pretty much anything work for campaign content.
