I like the zippo butane inserts. I like zippos but filling them with fluid when you don’t light stuff much is kind of a pain
I'm not sure if they still make it, but I've been carrying a Vector Radar triple flame for the past 3 years and it's been great.
Yeah, when I first started out w/cgrs 31 yrs. ago, I insisted on $$$ lighters. My go to now are $16 Vectors that light like a champ. Lesson learned.
I'm just now getting into pen jet torch lighters this year. Great video.

I also have one like the "pioneer", and the weird wobbly slide on the front is to keep the flame going even though you release the button.
Light the lighter, and while keeping your thumb on the switch, slide the black front plastic slider to the right side. You can now remove your thumb from the switch and use the lighter as a torch (very nice for soldering).
Bring the slide back to the left to turn it off.
But as it is basically turns the lighter into a mini lightsaber, yo will set fire to anything and everything, so do NOT drop it...

I carry a bic lighter everyday , but because i am not a cigarette smoker i just keep it in my edc backpack, it mostly stays in my car unless i go in a restaurant to eat or something like that

Hey, Jeff, if it suits your fancy, would you consider ever doing a lighter maintenance and troubleshooting kind of video?
Here's a decent example of something that has happened to me so many times:
I bought an inexpensive soft-flame candle lighter. The fuel starts running a bit low and I top up. Suddenly it's hard to light and the flame is never large, even adjusted for its largest flame.
Or with jet lighters, they'll sometimes no longer even light, even though the gas still hisses out and I definitely see a spark, or they light for a moment then the flame dies to nothing after a brief moment.
i got the Maserati, jk lol but that triple flammer is cool design looks like a spaceship thruster opening up before blastoff

I don't carry a lighter but I own a couple zippos and my favorite one is brass with an illuminati triangle in the middle.

Ill continue to only make videos that appeal to you screw everyone else who may not ,like knives or has a need for a lighter...lol send a list of the video YOU want thats all Ill, post from now on because when I go to bed I think to myself what makes Greg F happy...Id hate to dissapoint...

Hey, not sure if you saw my comment on the first video in this series, reposting here quick seeing as you just posted it! Suggestion: You probably have regular air in the lighter, which the butane can’t displace as well when filling. Open the lighter so it would actively leak gas, then start adding in butane like normal. Once filled use a small tool to press the fill valve while rotating the lighter around all different directions slowly (upside down, right side up , angled etc). You should actually see each time you purge and fill the lighter will slowly show more and more fuel in the viewing port on the side. You will likely need to do this 3/4 times for it to get all the air out. When doing the tool release don’t be afraid to let a large amount of the butane out, the important part is just removing the air. I had that issue with a number of zippo inserts and blu models and this fixed it.
thanks I did see your comment before and now I have not opened the lighter yet but Ill try it when I do part of me wants to try Vectors warranty now out of curiosity so well see not sure what Ill do yet...
@@cutlerylover ** by open I mean hold the button as if you were trying to use it, so it is expelling gas from the top then fill it. Most of the fixing is done by doing the fill / purge via the bottom port a few times.
