    A good video for proper cigar lighters! New Subscriber.
    I *l o v e* my newest DuPont soft flame. If one finds themselves at a quiet classy function or location where you prefer to be more discreet, you can always open the DuPont lighter with two hands or slow roll open to mute the opening sound which is so beautiful it's music to my ears every time I hear it open! Those lighters (1 single soft & 1 dual soft flame Ive purchased over the last 5 years) never fail me!

I also have other lighters on a less expensive options in my collection. As far as cutters are concerned Xikar is my go to choice

    Some time ago I finally had enough of finicky torch lighters and switched to using either a BIC lighter or a "clicker" fireplace/BBQ lighter. These lighters may be cheap but they work reliably when called upon and for me that matters more than style.
    That said, that "Old Boy" looks pretty sweet.

    I've started my cigar journey with zippos. I always use lighter fluid by zippo and I haven't even once tasted the fluid. I even offered it to my cigar smoking friends and they only tasted the cigar so idc what other cigar smokers say I am using my zippo to light cigars.

      lighters don’t clog except for years of heavy use. Torches do. Cleaning is so easy but I have so many parts I just swap them out. Its quick but it takes forever to learn everything lighters. The jets are just a screen and a see through alloy.metal disk. Anything that burns leaves carbon.

      @BoonieChris ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TheCarpenterUnion I doubt that and I will test it. If you move a gas flame too close to meat for example, the meat tastes disgusting, if you keep it a couple of centimeters away its fine - same here, if you put the cigar directly above the wick you might get some fumes into the cigar, but if its above I bet you wont.

    • @vast634

      Using Zippo daily gets also quite messy with the fluid leaking, and evaporating. In the end, a simple BIC lighter is the most reliable choice.

      @@BoonieChris Zippos are great and if you like to carry one then you do you. You can absolutely use a zippo without affecting the taste if you do it correctly. The point is that if you choose a butane lighter, that potential problem goes away entirely. It's a recommendation, not a law. You can also put a butane lighter in your humidor or cigar travel pouch, which I absolutely wouldn't do with a zippo.
