Great video and awesome review. I am an outdoorsman and the belt clip is what i been looking for and this will make a very good EDC lighter as well for my cigars and Bongs. I had a J.T. DuPont but lost it couple days ago while at my Cabin in the North Ga mountains so been looking for a great lighter to replace when I get back home.
speaking of the flame height adjustment knob being moved out of position, perhaps that screw on it's side is actually there to tighten it into position?, just a thought if you want to try it out unless its only the knob attachment screw
For survival/tactical purposes, I would want the smallest effective flame for the purpose. One that doesn't waste anymore fuel than absolutely necessary. Many thanks.
Exactly this lighter is just an accessory to the shooting range or on a hunting trip. Not practical for actual tactical needs or SHTF. A big crown royal bag full of bic lighters is the way to go IMO.
Just got this lighter & it’s been real finnicky with me. I don’t know if it’s because I’m a newb or it’s defective. It for finicky even before I purged & refilled it. Any ideas?
@@gentritgashi1822 Its common. Some are made to avoid that like mini eagles with safe stop. It takes a couple of seconds for the fuel to make its way out once the button is seized. But if its 5 to 15 seconds I would be concerned. Usually it’s because you have it way too high.
I had one. Worked for about 3 months then the bottom blew off of it in my hand. I tried twice to return it to Xikar but they never got back to me. I filled out all their form and still nothing. Poor company that doesnt back up their products. STAY AWAY
Thanks for the video. Every Xikar lighter I’ve ever owned which is about 6 different models, have failed miserably and quickly with the exception of the original 3 flamed Tactical and Xikars huge table lighter. Will never purchase another Xikar lighter…overpriced junk. And as for Lotus lighters, they’re even worse than Xikar.

It’s a Xikar so it’ll be anything but tactical, guaranteeing to not light when you need it.
Excellent review, keep it going pal!
How's the tank?
How heavy is it ???
Would love to see a head to head between the Daytona and the dupont
Because of this video I purchased this lighter.
I can't find this fore sale anywhere!
Fox cigars. You probably have by now

Depends on what its doing
When i put it on the max flame height it stays lit for like 4 seconds and then blows out
@@gentritgashi1822 all torches do that
@@rafaeltorre1643 thanks for the reply. I didn't know that
