Kinda interesting how Sinclair probably embodies the spirit of what Ryan wanted people to achieve with Rapture the most, yet was ridiculed for it. He wasn’t a silver spoon artist or sociopathic scientist, but just a clever and savvy businessman who found practical solutions and profitable ventures where no one else even bothered to look.
Even as the story progressed and audio diaries from both various people and the man himself revealed what a shady bastard he really was, or rather, that he was just as dirty as everyone else in the city, I still couldn't help liking Sinclair. Maybe it was the smooth way he talked. I was never really clear on why he initially wanted to help you reunite with Eleanor, but especially at Inner Persephony when he was turned into a Big Daddy and pleaded for you to save Eleanor and show her the sun, I truly felt he was being genuine.
In his case I think he was supposed to represent how even a good man could be brought so low in a city sinking into its own shit. I always thought he may have known Eleanor as well. Sinclair was a pretty nasty guy in terms of morality, yet so charming and likable. He really cared for Eleanor, and maybe even for Delta (even though it seems to me that he only helped Delta because he considered Delta to be Eleanor's only chance for freedom.) I'd love to be able to tear Sofia Lamb apart for what she's done to him. I didn't harvest any of the little sisters nor did I kill the NPCs when given the choice, so I guess Eleanor will save her from drowning, but I'd love to be able to give Lamb the same treatment she gave to him.

Like, why would Sofia allow him to communicate with Delta and see things through his camera and stuff like that. @@TheBioshockHub Well, that adds a bit of irony to the whole thing. Even though I sympathetic towards Sinclair and I enjoyed his company in the game, his backstory really paints him as a rather selfish and arrogant individual, who couldn't let go of his industrialistic ideals even when he had the last chance - instead planning to make profit off the wonders he would bring to the surface. I imagine, does he feel remorse for what he's done when he meets Delta or was it just an attempt to use him as a way to get out of Rapture.
Truly an emotional rollercoaster, come to think of it.
Bro I wanna know who johnny topside was and what he looked like
A concept art of some sort would've been nice.
I can't help but like Sinclair, yes he maybe self serving but you can't argue with his spot on logic. :)
Sinclair is one of my favorite characters :D
I can see why, he is a genuinely great supporting character. It's such a shame you have to kill him at the end.
I dont like killing other big daddies in the game seems kind of wrong after all there only job is to make sure those poor little Adam mutated girls are not brutally murdered by some adam withdrawal junkie and his mutated lackies
And the fact playing as ones yourself and rediscovering your identity of being essentially kidnapped super soldiered and brainwashed you gotta feel some sorta pity that their still under that psychological manipulation
To bad in all the endings of bioshock 2 Sinclair still becomes a alpha series and you still have to kill him
I wish they added some alternate choice.
Me to I mean he helped you get through rapture so I wish if you did something right you had a choice to save him
Oh yes please dude I would like too here other diaries in the near Future
great video! sorry i've been gone too long!
No worries Bella.
Just played Bioshock 2 from playstation plus and loved it! Spoilers but I let everyone that I could live and found it tragic that the only characters to die were Sinclair and Delta (as well as Mark so that I could save Cindy)
I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'd HIGHLY recommend playing Minerva's Den
TheBioshockHub oh yeah I just played it; it was short but pretty emotional. I can’t wait to start and finish infinite so that I can watch more of your videos
Anyways, I wish he was more in the game and you had different choices. Evidently, his role was supposed to be bigger since they even made a model for him and there is also this video of him tied to a chair, dying in a flooded room which has been cut.
Why did the video skip and then replay like 3 times
Is Sinclair lore friendly character? And does he own Sinclair Spirits in Fort Frolic too?
Yes and Yes
@@TheBioshockHub Because he was mentioned in Vita-Chamber diary Suchong mentioned "Sinclair and Alexander tried to explain their science to me..." but Sinclair was not scientist or involved in such scientific things, was he?
@@davdkio11 No sir. Sinclair was a very intelligent businessman
@@TheBioshockHub So he was directly involved in Vita-Chamber research? And dont call me like that Sir.
@@davdkio11 Yes, to make money off of it.
audio book cool idea
I felt bad when Sinclair died
The Mark style of video is better to me (edited).
12:57-13:03 and 13:35-13:43 - what are those pauses?
Sinclair deserved better
Perfect
A man chooses, a slave obeys, and I’m 100% a slave, so that’s why I’m going to leave a like on this video
I appreciate the like, thank you.

Hey there sport :(
I used to escape to Rapture regularly. Especially when the ex was actively trying to destroy me. Rapture is sanctury to some.
Thank you for this dude. I love all the characters so the indepth videos are my fav ❤
I'm so happy you were able to get away from that Lynsday, I hope all the best for you
@@TheBioshockHub thank you for your kind words hunny ❤ me and the kids are thriving now, that was years ago. The only thing that's annoying me right now is the fact that I've only just recently discovered your channel! You deserve more subs for the level of content you are producing. Your channel 'fits' into my wee Scottish ADHD brain! The format, your narration and the explanations are perfect! Thank you ❤❤❤
@thenioshockhub great voice its kinda deep but kinda good
May I ask why you didn't just cut out those two fuck ups where you read wrong and restarted?
*Edited:* Thought the voice actor died, and accidentally spread false info, sorry y'all
I DIDN'T KNOW HE PASSED AWAY... oh no.
TheBioshockHub he’s alive though? There’s been no death announcement and all his profiles are still active
@@VinDakota I need to fact check more.
TheBioshockHub hehehe dw I nearly died when I scrolled past that comment too 😅
TheBioshockHub love the vids btw! Been binge watching em 👌👌

Why did you go off on a random gameplay tangent of how to kill omega? Lmao did you copy the entire script from the Wikipedia?
Would you kindly drop a like on the video
Jokes on you I already broke the mind control
