Just a little bit of an update on the patch questions. It was in fact a 3rd group unofficial team logo and it was previously banned. SF Command (not just 20th group command) has a probe going trying to determine whether it was "malicious or ignorance". They've ordered a total sweep to get rid of any remaining stickers or patches and have indicated that depending on the results of the probe "separation is on the table" (meaning out of the army, not just out of sf).
I looked into this because I'm more skeptical of SF guys recently. I think the original patch was for the Africa Corp of the third Reich and had a swastika in the palm tree trunk. The Totenkopf skull version appears to be added later. Gotta say I don't mind white hate putting identifiable signs on themselves. It makes it easy to remove them from the ranks.

Mr. Literally Anybody Else sounds so much like the old Canadian Rhinoceros Party. Their party platforms were wonderfully insane, such as repealing the law of gravity, demolishing the Rocky Mountains so people in Alberta could see the sunset, electing a professional dominatrix as political party 'whip' (like a US congress leader does to get the party to vote the same), and adapting to the British system of driving on the left side of the road - but done over a five year period with trucks changing the first year, buses moving over the second year, small cars third, bicycles fourth year, and wheelchairs in the fifth year. My local candidate was an old hippie who went by the name of Richard the Troll.
I honestly miss seeing the proposed platform of the Rhinoceros Party. They did some very good satire on politics, society, and sometimes the legal system. Thoroughly enjoyable. 😊
Nice, reminds me of the Python's Raving Looney Party. Our perennial candidate up to now has been Vermin Supreme, who has run in every presidential election since '92. Mr L. A. Else is a refreshing addition to the lineup.

We forced Ukraine into this situation based on agreements and investments made over the course of decades since the W Bush administration. And Saber Rattling with Biden poking the Bear for his own political purposes. The “conflict” goes back to 2010 with influence and investment in oil, gas and mining contracts. And the separatist movement back to 2014 when Ukraine was trying to exit the Eurasian Economic Union and enter the European Economic Union. In 22 the DNC was looking for a means of making Biden look “Necessary and effective” against Russia to score political points here in the USA. So they could literally chant “USA USA” at the state of the union. Biden kept poking Russia and Putin while Zelenskyy begged us to stop! And we watched while that bear bent Ukrainians over and took a dump on that country. And the chants at the state of the union address have stopped with the typical Americans low attention span. We as Americans pushed Ukraine into this war with Russia and we have an obligation to see it through! That’s my opinion! And we should not be making half measures in it. (As we have) They should have every weapon available at their disposal! Not doing so jeopardizes all allies who trust that we will support them… Because we won’t… We will lose interest and leave them to suffer the consequences of OUR actions…. Of course Ukraine wants to win - they have no interest in being Russian… As a 4th class citizen in their own country. Israel on the other hand is an albatross, a burden, has never been an ally. Doesn’t need our money, and is far outside of American values. Every cent of aid and every weapon we are sending there should be going to Ukraine instead.

We were chatting yesterday with a woman who works at Elections Canada, where all parties have to register, in order to be able to secure a place on the ballot, and she told us that, yes, the Rhinoceros Party is still alive and well.
@@ninemoonplanet Absolutely! They were both fun and, sometimes, their satire was very pointed. When former PM John Turner was running in a Vancouver riding, the Rhinos also fielded a candidate named John Turner. I remember Richard the Troll handing out $3 dollar bills, one of his proposals. They were also the first party to support the legalisation of marijuana, way back in the late 70s.
They're not (entirely) dead! There was a Rhinoceros Party candidate in a nearby riding last election - I felt very cheated to be so close to having a chance to vote for them!

Ukraine is trying to win, they should ignore the US.
We could've ended up with an incredibly strong regional ally. We could've ended up spending all that money on American jobs in the process.
The GOP is utter and absolute garbage. Full stop.
They were willing to listen to our demands for over two years. We tied their hands, the entire way with all the trickle trickle of modern equipment.
@@longforgotten4823 without the stuff they need I don't blame them for attacking the Russian fuel supply. It makes perfect tactical sense to me. No diesel or gas means no troop reinforcements, no tanks attacking and so on. Or at least that's how I look at it.

Every DAY -- for SOMEBODY -- the window of time closes. And there's no way to re-open it.
From a human perspective, I'm reminded of that old quote -- I think it was by Stalin:
"The death of one person is a tragedy -- the death of a million is a statistic."

Comment on the colorado river water use. I live in southern az. We farm several water intensive crops. We have canal systems than run all over the southern half of the state that supply water to smaller and smaller canals that eventually border fields for flood irrigation. I fish those big canals and theyre real low havent been running lately. Not supposed to run like before for decades while lake mead is "replenished". So now those smaller canals are still running water to all the fields but now theyre just running well water. They plan to do this for DECADES. WTF do they think is going to happen with that?
Probably significant loss to evaporation and a portion infiltrating in a cycle that will continue until the aquifer is eventually depleted...
@@hattielankford4775 exactly. Ideas have been floated to install solar panels over the canals to help lessen evaporation but that hasn't gotten any traction. Just read the Army Times piece about this. "The team’s logo, which includes a similar SS Totenkopf to that seen in the National Guard unit photo, also incorporates the distinctive palm tree featured on the seal of the Deutches Afrikakorps. The Africa Corps fought against British and American troops in North Africa before it was cornered and destroyed in May 1943. The skull-and-crossbones, placed atop 3rd Group’s distinctive beret flash, replaces the swastika in the team’s design."

While I find the Texan running as “Literally Anyone Else” hilarious, I fear it may pull votes away from Biden (not that Biden has a chance of winning Texas). I hope he does poorly.
It won't pull boats from Biden, what it will do is allow those who don't want to vote Trump to have a place to vote. The reason it won't pull votes from Biden is as you stated it's Texas. But more fundamentally, even if it were to take votes from Biden it will also take similar percentage at the very least if not a lot more, from the grifter in Chief

At the current state of Texas politics Biden would be better off if he was a snowball in Hell.
This stunt is not going to pull votes as he has to get on the ballot in all 50 states.

If you love history and how it affects current events -- the building blocks Beau refers to here -- let me recommend the Connections series by James Burke. The first series feels very 1970s depression, but the others are more generally positive, even when dealing with difficult subjects. Burke is a charming and charismatic host and does a great job of presenting discoveries that became turning points of history.

The food aid is extremely important, but equally important is to make sure that the food, shipped there is suitable for locals to eat. It means that people in different parts of the world are capable to eat certain kind of food because their system is adjusted for that. So you propably don't wanna ship tons of beef, steaks, hamburgers and stuff like that in there. I believe that people in middle east eat quite light.
You are mistaken about ME eating habits, but culturally appropriate foods are of course necessary. That's why not just anybody does this kind of effort.
