The Hunt For BigFoot! 2500 10.6 Truck Camper!

- Hi everyone, in this video we go hunt for the elusive bigfoot! An no not the big hairy kind haha, the kind we can take on our travels with us and sleep comfortably in, also known as the bigfoot 2500 10.6 truck camper. And we found one close by, so we decided to check it out and take you along with us.

I bought a 10.6 Bigfoot a 2005 and my Dodge 4 door long bed dullay 4x4 and 5.9 cummins 6 speed manual that I bought new so they match and drove 1200 miles each way to get it and we love it and I did put a Big Wig sawbar on rear and 7 K air bags with compressor and 2 gal air tank with air Chuck for a curly hose with built in gauge to air up tires or my blow up duck if I go swimming.
I drove to Victoria Texas because I have a white 05 Dodge 3500 4 door long bed 8’ dullay 4x4 with a 5.9 cummins with a 6 speed manual with 3.37 gears which means 2000 rpm at 70 mph and it was over 1000 miles from Festus Missouri and what a match air bags with tank and air Chuck and coils hose and gauge to air up tires. It has been 3 years since we have been trying to go to Alaska first it was COVID and boarders shut down and then fuel at 8 bucks a gallon and now on our 4 th year we are going to head north and Iam 67 yrs old and we are going to Alaska first and towing my 200 outboard alum jet boat and after that we are going to the Artic ocean to see and bust these people lost in time. We are going for 3 months and we put a couple up grades like 2 100 watt Battleborn batteries and we put a sat tracker on top so when we stop for the nite, we can push a button and dish will pop up and find sat so we can see what is going on in the world and we do have a 2500 Oman Gen set and with furnace and ac with a soft start for ac to make it start a little easier . This our dream to go. My wife’s mom and dad have been to Alaska 2 times with their friends with their motor home and the others had a 5 th wheel and a bumper pull camper and they all said get a nice truck camper so you can park where ever you want and not have to park so far a way and do all the walking so we did and I think we are locked and loaded ready to go. So I’m praying we get to go. My wife’s mom kept a journal of every place they went and every dime the spent and she could not write and spell very good, she only made it to 7 grade and my wife said we are going to walk and step in every step they stepped . They have all passed and their friends have too and this was part of the greatest generation and I can see why . !they hardest workinking

I had an 08' 2500 10.6e. They all have that "short queen" I'm pretty sure. I shouldn't have sold it, and here I am ready for another. Wouldn't have anything but a Bigfoot. And yes, even these can leak, have to watch every shell perforation. You still looking?
Yeah they're great campers. We ended up buying a northern lite 9-6. But already sold that too haha. Now we have a overland rig. Toyota 4runner.

Hey sorry just saw this, for some reason my channel is not alerting me of new comments. But our house hasn't closed yet so don't have the funds to buy it yet, it keeps getting pushed out. And as of now I'm sure you've seen it's been taken down so someone else got it. But it was a nice camper. Did have a leak in the bed area and some mold but could be cleaned and fixed. On to the next camper for us.
Uprooted Adventures Hey David. Yea Scott said he received a deposit but the buyer needed until the 18th to finalize. If you are still interested call him back on the 18th to see if the other person was able to buy it.
If not, I came across another one that is a little newer incase you are interested. I have to wait a little while longer before I can pull the trigger...
