That was my uncle’s camper. He’s very meticulous with his things and keeps everything in good shape. Glad to see it’s going to a good home. Enjoy and safe travels!
Congratulations on the new rig. Love the interior. Looks like it is going to meet your needs a lot better. Thanks for showing us your new rig. Can't wait to see Tessa in upcoming videos.
8:04 I just visited Oregon and we had our CRM friend take us on that road to meet some decedents of that land. They would fish that river for Salmon, which would not only feed their people but they also made money. Until the government decided to build a hydro dam that completely ruined the natural fishing habitat. One descendent had a story where his entire family grew up fishing on that lake and as he grew from a very young age he was so excited to start fishing. When he became of age, the dam was built and he was not longer able to fish there. There is so much that is going on that we would never know unless these stories were told. P.S. The decedents told the story 1000x better.
Almost every time I come back to this channel there's a different camper. This one is definitely beautiful and it sounds like its going to fit your needs. Congratulations.
A very solid upgrade! I had an 01 F250 with the 7.3 and those things are bulletproof. Million miles+ easy when well taken care. New camper is a big step up too!
Yeah I wish it had continued for several more years. The 6.0 that replaced it is a terrible motor. I would like to get a 7.3 Excursion but the price tag even with them being 20+ years old is crazy. That's if you can even find one being sold.
As an owner of a 2004 Diesel fired truck, you will soon learn about Maintenance. One thing I can say is when you jump into stuff you go head first. I will be watching just to see how you do with this new rig. I just hop you don't do what you did to the last camper. Happy Camping!!
I have to agree!!! He was in over his head with a Toyota and small Bigfoot camper. These 7.3’s will go a long time with the proper maintenance. Without it, I can see this project getting canabalized and scrapped!
As a 2002 7.3 and NorthernLite owner- Congratulations!! Also have the torklift fast gun tiedowns…get some locks to replace the Clevis pins…they are expensive to replace when they walk off Also- check your cab roof to cab over clearance…looks tight. I added two layers of 3/4” pressure treated plywood to the truck bed and a thin rubber bed mat. NorthernLite specifically says not to use horse stall mats. Check out the torklift stable-loads…made a world of difference to eliminate side to side sway without modifying suspension or adding airbags.
WOW, 😮 it is GORGEOUS, looks IMMACULATE, and I must admit, I think with all that you've been through, NO ONE DESERVES it MORE than YOU do. I ABSOLUTELY love it. I agree with Tessa, and I'm glad she's going to be more a part of it. It really looks GOOD and you shouldn't have to do much of anything to renovate, just minor touches to personalize it. I love the color scheme, love the size/SPACE, it's extremely cozy. You have just about everything anybody could possibly want in a shell or an RV, and in my opinion, you could live out of it if you had two, obviously the past owner did. CONGRATULATIONS, ❤ the truck. ❤ the camper and adore you ❤😂🎉
This is a GREAT set up!! Love the interior! Also the fold down cabinets are an extra bed for a kid or smaller adult prbly a 150lb weight rating! I’m so happy for you this is gonna be an awesome adventure rig!!!
That extra bed originally came with a pad that was around 2 inches thick. It was split in 2 and either folded or was 2 pieces. Plus there was probably a thin piece of plywood to go over the cabinet door while in bed mode. I've seen them in trailers too.
Great choice. 🎉 I bought ny Dodge DRW Turbo Deisel before my camper. I figured on a Lance or Arctic Fox, used. Start with a good quality new and still be attractive in used sales. Never looked back. That DRW never came close to payload. Flat towed my Jeep too Due to age and ortho issues, have a Class C The Blue Best is my daily driver now Sold camper to a young family. They are having a blast with it. Feel safe in it even driving in Vegas. Stat: every third driver impaired or driving carelessly. Per sad statistics.
That bathroom... that's so nice for hanging up wet items from rain and snow. Also great for rinsing out items that get dirty/wet using it as a clothes drying room.
I'm so happy for you, Congratulations on finding just the perfect camper/truck setup. I really like the interior colors and touches as well. So glad that you're not facing another remodel instead of having the outdoor adventures that you love. Looking forward to seeing Tessa again. Take care and God bless.
This is a really nice camper. Well, I can tell you, there may come a time when you love that bathroom. I will share a little story about a time i went with my parents (I was about 15 at the time) on a two week camping trip to Canada (we would go 4-5 times a year for about 15 years.) Anyway, we camped at a lake about 60 miles from thunder bay, Ontario. Basically, out in the middle of no where in an 8ft camper. And I got sick with the stomach flu. Needless to say, I LOVED that bathroom. I learned something about myself, anytime i go camping I bring practically my own personal pharmacy and I won't go camping unless The motorhome/motorcoach has a bathroom. lol Don't knock the bathroom. :D Enjoy your nice camper!!
Yay Jonathan!! I'm so excited for you! The cabinets above the dinette are a fold down bunk bed for a SMALL child. Watch the weight on that. As for the east/west bed well it's great for single people but when your spouse/GF comes with you then a north/south is more convenient as to not be climbing over each other. Tessa is going to LOVE having a bathroom and you may like it too, eventually. Don't feel discouraged if you need to do repairs on the truck. It is older you know? LoL!! Also you seemed quick to start the truck but I'm going to assume you are aware of letting the glow plugs warm up first. I always wait for the beeping to quit before starting my F450 even if the plugs are warm and the light on the dash doesn't come on because I don't want to get in the habit of rushing it. It's funny you mention the color scheme because those colors are coming back around again LoL!! Anyway, like I said I'm very happy for you and can't wait for your kitchen cooking show in the new TC! Cheers! ~M Ps... Please keep your videos at least 50% or more about the TC whether it be driving it, cooking in it, chatting in it, showing the camp spot for the night/weekend, sleeping in it... you get my drift. 😃 Oh and I forgot to mention.. Get that combo to the scales. You'll be very surprised how heavy it really is.
Congratulations Jonathan! I am happy for you! I hope you have many amazing adventures with your new camper! The cabinet folds down to make a bunk for a child to sleep but also works for extra storage. Safe travels!
Top drawer choice.... F350 is a great choice.... it has the power to get you where you want to go.... I know nothing about the coach but Im sure it will suit your needs well.... I really love the sleeping berth..... Im sure it will work well for your enterprise.... Please consider keeping your camper in a covered storage or an indoor store....Your rig will last 5 times longer.... >>>> Put Temp Gauges for the transmission.... it will save you from the possibility of transmission overheat
Love your new camping rig Jonathan! I go on camping adventures vicariously through your videos and I especially enjoy being inside your cozy warm and dry camper while it’s freezing cold and snowing or raining outside, cheers!
Excited to follow your new adventure. We also have a 2000 F350 7.3L diesel LB but with the crew cab style body. I bought it new back in 2000 and I thought I would replace it eventually but the truck has been a beast and the engine has been so reliable, it hard to give it up. We also have a Northern Lite truck camper but the 10.2 size and the year that we bought it was 2002 (new). Definite 4 season camper and zero problems with it, even after so many years. We even have the Torklift tie down system but with regular chain connections. Enjoy your new adventure just remember to check the height of your setup for those trips on side roads.
One thing can be said for this channel..it is not boring ! Congrads on the new set up. I figured a new camper at some point but not a diesel truck. Thumbs up and keep on keeping on !
Congratulations Jonathan, i told you before you don’t have to explain anything to anyone but yourself, as long as your happy and it sounds like Tessa is also. Look forward to you new adventures.
This is the first time I've seen negative/hater comments. You know what that means? Congratulations Jonathan, you're a successful TH-camr🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Keep it up!
As much as I was enjoying your build project and I will miss that, I am extremely happy for you. Get out there, enjoy life and your new home. CONGRATULATIONS!!
The fold down cabinet is a sleeping bunk for children or smaller, light adults. Add a think cushion up there and now you have 3 beds. I grew up sleep up there in my parents camper. I have my own camper with the same cabinet and it makes for a great snowboard / ski / gear locker, just make sure they are dry or put some plastic down. I also have an F-350 4x4 7.3. Fantastic truck and great rig you will enjoy it. Cheers
You will find so much more comfort in this new rig!, I have an 06 f350 with a 951 truck camper the places you can go and the extra comfort of having everything in the bed of your truck is a blessing. Buy a spare camshaft position sensor and keep it in the glovebox one of the few parts that will strand you and its a fairly simple change out.
Dude! Nice find and definitely a good choice on going with the the extra space and bathroom! It's nice finding people that take pride in what they own and when they sell it you get to see the care that they had while owning it. 😊
So so happy for you Jonathan. The camper looks so much nicer! The Bigfoot was just practice. That cabinet is probably for golf clubs. I’m glad for you. Safe travels❤
Make sure you padlock your Fastguns, they can easily be stolen, the torque lift locks rust really rust quickly, I have had the best luck with American Lock padlocks. Duct tape over key openings during winter trips and point openings toward to rear.
Alright congratulations I love your new home!! I've been wondering what your plans would be. So nice to see your back can't wait to see what's next for your new setup!! Look forward to more travels.
The fold down is a child's bunk. Unless it was removed, there should be a plywood plank that slides forward over the doors to make a platform, and then there is usually cushions stored in there. Depending on the rig, they have a weight limit of 125-150 pounds (hence them only being for kids) but it's means to be a stowaway bunk for kids.
Great to see your “bounce back” Buddy. You’re genuine humility and gratitude in the way you share your adventures is very refreshing. Congrats on your new rig.
Congratulations Jonathan! I absolutely love the interior and layout. What a great upgrade. And having a bathroom is another added bonus. So happy for you! You definitely deserve this. Happy Trails. 😊
First and foremost congrats on the new setup. It’s nice you have more space and amenities especially when traveling as a couple. I’ve been watching you for a couple years and I’m a little sad to see you move away from the minimalist chill vibes your earlier videos captured and see you go down the path of generic outdoor TH-camr, but I’ve heard this platform is tough, and you’ve mentioned your struggles with viewership. I hope that the channel keeps growing and you don’t feel weighed down by all the stuff. Excited to see your next adventures. ✌️
How great! I'm really happy and excited for you and Tessa and your future pets! I really liked the camper. It looks wonderful and i look forward to your new adventures. Well Done!
This rig is perfect dude! Now just be happy with it!! I started eye-rolling at all the upgrades you already want to do. This is like the 4th truck and 3rd camper you’ve bought since I’ve subscribed 😂 They were all decent rigs too. This seemingly materialistic fixation you have on a rig defeats the whole purpose of camping, being outdoors, and as you put it, “beating the status quo.” Just try being happy with what you got, it’s the best one yet, and it doesn’t NEED any upgrading. P.S - I think that whole panel folded down in case what your storing doesn’t fit through the smaller cabinet doors. 🤙🏼
Johnathan, so happy to see you got a new camper, now hopefully we can watch you and Tessa enjoy more adventure together, buddy the only tools I wanna see in your hands are cooking tools..please no renovations for a very long time....✌️peace
You now own a great camper. I had a 945 Lance back in 1995. Had major rote. I now have a 40 foot DP Tiffin Bus. Being 75 years old means I will have to down size one day. When that day arrives it will be to a TC.Northern LITES WILL BE a top contender. Enjoy.
This is such a sweet camper, great choice! The interior looks timeless and cozy imo. Love the plaid. If you wanted it to appear a bit more modern you could always swap the cabinet hardware to like a black or brushed nickel finish. Indoor plumbing is so nice. I redid mine like 2 yrs ago and it is such a luxury to have running water hot and cold. I use my toilet, put only for urine and the emergency number 2 if needed, makes cleaning out a lot easier etc.
CONGRATS on the new truck / camper combo. The cabinet is a bunk bed. One of the dinette cushions should make the mattress to it. I have one in my Lance. BTW change out the transmission cooler for the larger aftermarket one. I know they are a lil bit more pricy for them ($400), but it'll help with the new transmission. The stock one for the 7.3 will overheat the transmission quickly if you're ever going slowly or stuck in traffic. The stock cooler was the cause of the problems / issues I had with the transmission. The transmission cooler you're going to want to check into is a Mishimoto. Everyone swears by them! Also let the glow plugs warm up, there should be a light in the dash telling you to "wait", unless the truck was hot which it most likely was (lol). Also don't forget to let the truck sit and idle after you stop somewhere to allow the turbo to calm down and cool with oil flowing to it. It'll help cut down with the wear and tear to the bearings spinning with no oil flow when you shut off the engine. Not sure what they sell most for diesel where you're at, but these trucks will love diesel #2 more than the B20. You'll see better power and more MPG with the 7.3L. Again Congrats and enjoy!
I would have quit that camper renovation too. But, it wasn’t a waste of your time. You learned a lot, which are life experiences. Think of everything you learned, from the ground up of what a sound camper is. Nobody will sell you a broken down camper again, you know too much! And minor fixes will seem easy to you now. I’m glad you are back, because I wasn’t going to watch you fix that other camper, I was getting depressed watching it. Glad you are back!
Congrats on this purchase!! That Ford is a great platform to carry on with your new camper-top. You are wrong about “offroading” in the rig you now have. This rig will do quite well off offroading unless you are planning rock climbing type of off roading. PLEASE do not start including a dog in your adventures…..they become WAY to much of a distraction while filming. You have built your channel on YOU and once in a while your girlfriend which has been great and a lot of your subscribers love seeing her with you on your adventures. Most big You Tubers that have content similar to yours do NOT have a pet with them while filming, traveling and on their adventures. If you are thinking of having an animal in your travels with you consider starting a second channel with your pet and you. I think your subs that have pets would enjoy that. That Ford diesel will last you a LONG TIME if maintained, keeping up on that will be very important. Expect to get 300,000 if maintained correctly ( If got over 250,000+ miles from one of my Fords, had to keep up with some rust over the years but thats expected). Keep up with all the MFG suggested milage maintenance and use genuine OE parts and it will last a long time. Looking forward to many New videos coming!
So happy for you Jonathan!! The new truck and new rig are great and looking forward to seeing your new adventures ahead with the possibility of a dog, your kitty, and Tess who is totally cool am totally looking forward to this! Good move getting something that she will enjoy as well! I always take my family into consideration when I upgrade my rig. Have fun out there and it doesn’t matter what other people think, do what you’re doing for you not for us!
I am looking forward to watching your adventures with the new set-up. I'm so happy that you can enjoy the outdoors again. I could tell that the renovations on the other camper was taking a toll on you,and listening to the constant barking. I'm unable to take a vacation due to many difficult circumstances, so watching your videos is like taking a mini vacation. Have fun!
Congratulations on your new rig. Can't wait to see your journey with Tessa. It's good to have a bathroom for female! God bless you and take care of yourself.
Girls always like bathrooms. It’s just nicer for us. I guess there are girls out there that are used to taking care of business out in the woods but I’m not one of those. I am happy to see a new camper in your life.
I was bummed to see the Bigfoot go, but this is epic! Love the choices. 7.3 is awesome and so many upgrade options. Basically anything in a 2008-2016 super duty will bolt right on and has a wiring harness to make it compatible, mirrors seats etc. Super excited for you.
John u struck gold ! LOVE ❤ IT! I am retiring in a couple years and will be looking for a older northern lite. After a lot of research I think they are built to last. A 1999 that looks that good and has all those amenities proves my point! Enjoy 😉 it! And the freedom it will bring you. Remember your rig doesn't have to be perfect, don't forget the mission on this channel just get out there and live new adventures 😀
Congratulations on the new rigs and your setup. Looks great, looks like the camper was well taken care of and will last you many years. Can't wait till you get back out there and allow us to ride shotgun.
Thank you RV Mattress by Brooklyn Bedding for sponsoring! Visit rvmattress.com/jonathan to get 25% off your mattress with code "Jonathan"
Awesome thx.
I love my wave 3 & 6. THEY SIP PROPAIN.
Wes has k😅😮😮p😅😅😅😊😊o😅😮😢😢🎉🎉😂🎉😂🎉 I o
How would you ship the mattress it back, if You don't like it ?
It folds down so you can fit larger items up there that you couldn't fit in the small holes
That was my uncle’s camper. He’s very meticulous with his things and keeps everything in good shape. Glad to see it’s going to a good home. Enjoy and safe travels!
I was gonna say it looked like it came from a good conscientious owner. Lucky find!
You did a very nice thing and got a bigger camper. Thank God it'll more luxurious camper. So that's gonna make camping a lot more enjoyable.
You are a liar that was my cousins camper. He doesn’t have any nephews he was an only child. You just made all that up for likes. You are weird.
I'm calling bs on this comment
Love this camper! Congratulations! Tessa is so right about the bathroom, can't wait to see her enjoying the new camper!
Ms rod
That folding down cabinet is a kids bunk. Love the truck and camper!
Congratulations on the new rig. Love the interior. Looks like it is going to meet your needs a lot better. Thanks for showing us your new rig. Can't wait to see Tessa in upcoming videos.
Dude I knew you would bounce back! But a diesel and a Northern lite?? Hell yeah my dude!!!
Yew! 🤙
@@JonathanYentch buy a Toyota hybrid truck or a Ford fully electric truck!!

Almost every time I come back to this channel there's a different camper. This one is definitely beautiful and it sounds like its going to fit your needs. Congratulations.
This guy is so dedicated, he's had so many different vehicles and setups since he first moved out of his apartment.
YES!!! This is what this channel needed. Congratulations on this amazing set up.

Hopefully you're 6.0 will cooperate 🤞🏽🙏🏽😉👋🏽🙂💯💯
@budman1964 well you bought a 6.slow so what did you expect. Simple Google search will tell you run away from those

Congrads on the new set up. I figured a new camper at some point but not a diesel truck.
Thumbs up and keep on keeping on !

Wow! Really stoked to see the adventures you will go on with this setup
Great to see your “bounce back” Buddy. You’re genuine humility and gratitude in the way you share your adventures is very refreshing. Congrats on your new rig.
Solid truck, GREAT engine, nice camper. All great choices. Looking forward to your continuing journey, and proud to be a Patreon.
Appreciate the support!! 🙌
I LOVE the plaid couches, it makes it very warm, homey, and peaceful.
Congratulations Jonathan! I absolutely love the interior and layout. What a great upgrade. And having a bathroom is another added bonus. So happy for you! You definitely deserve this. Happy Trails. 😊
CONGRATS Jonathan...makes total sense, good move! Brooklyn Bedding is a great company, I am now 5 years on with their in home products...very happy!
Nice rig! I'm glad things are working out with the new set up. Stove, frig, and bathroom are a bonus. Looking forward to future videos.
Yesss!!! So happy and excited for you!!! Here is to long trips and comfort 🥂
Yes... he has a right to earn money and do things his way.
I'm happy for you...im excited to see all the new adventures you and Tessa are going to go on! Have fun!
How great! I'm really happy and excited for you and Tessa and your future pets! I really liked the camper. It looks wonderful and i look forward to your new adventures. Well Done!
Right on! Can't wait for more adventures.
Back in the game baby!!!! Will be fun to see Tessa along too! Love it -congrats!!🍾
The fold down cupboard thing is a kid bunk bed. Our camper had the same one. They are usually rated at like 150lbs or something.
Enjoy.
It's awesome! Looking forward to seeing Tessa out with you and your cat of course! Can't wait to see the up coming Adventures for you all.
Awesome!! Congrats on your new camper...the bathroom is a HUGE plus‼️😂😂❤
Yentch, how does this camper help me. My joy comes from your pain,, watching you fail at every repair you attempt.
Beautiful set up. Know prepare for a winter Alaska trip...
Nice looking set up Jonathan! Looking forward to the new series :)
Congratulations! I’m glad you went this way because you spent way tooooo much time and money on the last one!🥰
Thanks for sharing your excitement and new rig.
We’ll look forward to seeing you take us camping with you !!
Northern Lite is probably the best camper out there, great choice!
🎉🎉 Congratulations I'm so happy for you ♥️ love the plaid 🎉🎉
I'm happy for you! You seem happier, more confident, and more inspired. Go out on some adventures soon!
Never thought you'd go non-Toyota! Excited to see how you like the big setup
Congratulations on your new truck and camper, they are both very nice. 😊
Have fun!
I can’t wait to see looooong trips in this! You bit the bullet here and I think it’ll pay off Johnny! Congrats!
Wow, big improvement, and I can tell in your personality, it must be a load off. Congratulations, good luck with the new rig.
Way to go, Jonathan. Looking forward to the camping and cooking videos.
Congratulations on your new rig. Can't wait to see your journey with Tessa. It's good to have a bathroom for female! God bless you and take care of yourself.
That camper and truck combo is slick. Ready to see you doing some camping 🏕️ and trout fishing 🎣. PLEASE 🙏 NO MORE REBUILDS 😂😂😂😂
Hey Johnathan that upper cabinet is also a bunk for a small kid usually as well as a storage area
Congrats! I can’t wait for more adventures! I hope this setup lasts you a very long time!
Congrats, Jonathan! Finally you entered big sized camper! I can't wait to watch next episode with this new friend. Good luck!
That Olympian heater MUST BE COVERED!! They tend to fail when exposed to dust.
So happy for you. Keep on trucking!
