I love the beach the beach is my happy place. My daughter is single mother and right before the Covid hit she was going to move to Florida on the beach. Her job was willing to transfer her down there and I’m single and she wanted me to move down there with her. But she thought about it and was scared to move down there during the Covid season so she changed her mind and we still have not been able to move to the beach yet. So that is still in the works and we are so sad that it has not taken place because we all love the beach so much. Your daughter is so sweet and kind just like you. Thank you for sharing your vacation with us. ❤️🤗❤️

The Goodwills in Pennsylvania are awesome. We have locusts here in Arizona - I mean human locusts - they go in and literally harvest everything worth anything before I get there! Tell me to not give up - folks, I want to start an eBay business, but don’t think my heart could take being a failure. I do everything giving it 110% - if I could make $800 to $1,000 - I would be thrilled.🤑

Love how you guys explained us resellers stealing from the poor!! The world is so wasteful!! We help the landfills!!
Because most of the stock at GW is Dollar Store items being sold at 3 TIMES the original price. These ladies are full of bull shite.
Actually it has made me re-think what I do with my donated items thinking they were going to help poor and needy people. Instead these thrifters sell your items for 5-10x profit. It kind of sickens me. So I would recommend people either donate directly to people in need OR list & sell yourself on Facebook marketplace. It is so easy to sell on Facebook marketplace….ANYONE can do it.
You all forget that we resellers actually BUY these products which is Goodwills goal.They sell and use the money to help people.They do not give them clothing !! And a lot of resellers are "poor" people trying to add to a disability check.All the folks in my local Goodwill know I am reselling and that it actually adds $$ to my disability check.They are happy for me when I come out with a full cart. Thank you Goodwill !?
@@businessoffice4964 resellers pay for every item, it’s not free! We are helping Goodwill help the community by purchasing your unwanted items. Goodwill has never given their clothes away. Stores also donate to Goodwill not just the community. So you might need to re-think yet again because what you said wasn’t very nice. Also many resellers are doing for extra money to survive not get rich and you are helping them too. Look at it from a “What would Jesus do?” Point of view.

Karen & Mellissa - my eldest daughter lives in the Tampa Bay Area. She takes me to my favorite beach ever (I like it even better than Bermuda😎) SIESTA KEY Beach. It is so beautiful….sugar sand.🌴🌊
So on point with the reality of the abundance of items available at any thrift or Goodwill. So many items ultimately end up in landfills. Resellers are a blessing, and assist in repurposing items.
No reality spoken by these two. GW sells cheap Walmart and Dollar Store items at 3x the original price. That’s why so much is thrown away. The greedy, greedy resellers grab up the 2% that is nice and worth anything.
I recently watched a documentary on sneaker collecting. The collectors talked about how the hunt for shoes was tge best part. Their secret places. Riding 3 buses to get to these places. Neighborhood networking. Then, social media, ebay, poshmark, etc...wrecked it all...same with virtually everything. Been thrifting, antiquing, estating, garaging, reselling, etc for over 40 years, and yes, this platform has taken away from the fun of the hunt and collecting. Knuckleheads everywhere doing this now. I love the ones who say, " I don't know what this is but must be worth simething" what??!!

I loved Ebay way back in the day. I sold quilting fabrics and vintage linens. I wholesaled fabric and thrifted linens. Since I was one of very few people doing this at the time I did very well and retired to the beach here in west coast Canada at 55. Now I just watch Ebay Sellers like you two lovely ladies, but it is way more hard work now because you need to do social media as well.
@@poollife777 I did well back in the day but there wasn't the same competition in my preferred niche. Glad your son doesn't have to spent time on social media as it adds so many more hours to the working day.

Cribbage Board: I do find and sell them and have found that the more unusual the subject or material the better. Quality and craftsmanship are key to value. Having original score pegs is a plus. The pegs are often found in a recess in the back, but replacement pegs are easy to find on eBay, so missing pegs isn’t too big a deal. I will often include matching theme (or era correct) card decks with the board listings. They are easy to pack, since most are thin, which makes them great item to source on holiday.

I had a dream last night that I was inspecting the bottoms of an enormous amount of small plastic animal figurines. I was exhausted when I woke up--no wonder why! Thanks for being a joyful part of my day (and night now). Lori
Hi - love you both. Just read that Massachusetts is going to begin a ban on disposing of textiles because how much is thrown away. It is expected many states will go this. That's why I said we are environmentalists saving one piece of clothing at a time from the dump.
I have friends there, an i visit periodically from Tulsa, Oklahoma. I love it there, especially Ana Maria Island. 🤗
I just watched the hustle couple this morning. They went to UPS to ship their items back home from California to Texas. They bought the box at UPS. They bought tape at the dollar store. They got the weight of the item and went on pirate ship, got a qr code and had UPS scan it. Their 16 x 16 x 16 boxes was only 16.00 to ship with a fee of .75 to have them print the label.
Yes! I was going to say the same. I have even moved between states (I had no furniture) using UPS. There are more great ways to bring home treasures than sticking it in your suitcase!

My husband and I purchased a condo in St. Augustine. Abt 6 miles from the beach. Renting it out for now, may consider retiring there. FL is growing on us.

Hi Karen and Mellissa with two Ls as Mom once told us all. The beach there looks so inviting, even if you just get out and walk it everyday. I know there were some very close calls with hurricanes and flooding out roads, especially to Sanabel., so good move, more inland to buy a house. Congratulations M&B!!
