The one you left behind is the better of the 2 fish paintings and colorful. Pastels need to be hung or laid flat to prevent pastel dust (or sprayed lightly with fixative or hairspray to set.) You can replace the mat very inexpensively. Metal frames unscrew so easy to do.
💕Hello Ms. Karen. I’m a minimalist, but I LOVE the adventure of exploring thrift stores. There is so much history and so many treasures everywhere. I love watching your videos because I feel like I’m right there with you. Your daughter and Roger are delightful. Thank you for being so sweet and so informative. You’re definitely my TH-cam friend 💕
Hi Karen! I am a pastel artist and the fish piece is beautiful! It can be taken out of the frame and re-matted with spacers between the art and mat. Do not ever touch or have any pastel unframed to ship, it could ruin the artwork! Pastel is pure pigment and will last forever if cared for properly. Love to you and happy thrifting!
Love your videos- you pick up things that I would have walked past- I'm learning so much and I think it is making me a better reseller. Thanks so much.
You were excited about the fish prints and missed the beautiful autumn painting on the right. 😍 Loved this video - so many goodies! Shopping Goodwill in January is always fun as people are cleaning out their homes!!
I was told by an employee at the Bins that they sell unsold items per pound to other countries. She said unsold merchandise does not go to the landfill. I was glad to hear that, if it’s true. My Bins is in New Castle DE, so not sure if Keystone Goodwill is the same.
I love watching your videos! So much fun. I gasped at the peacock sculpture! They are my favorite. I agree they wouldn’t be a great seller, but MAN, if I’d found them they’d be coming home with me. Fun to see!
Everyone agrees on how great the fish art is. Karen. You can rematt the 2nd one. I would've bought them both. So good to have you back. All recharged after Florida! ❤️
Hi Karen! That iron thread box is super cute and may appeal to multiple audiences. Sewing, people who collect vintage irons, people who like folk art. Just my thoughts. Good luck selling it!
Love, love, LOVE the fish pics. I loved the pastel & personally would’ve taken it, and just reframed it. I have large fish tanks though, so I am a “fish” person, lol. The large gold fans were also amazing! You are so fortunate to have such amazing thrifting near you! I am super happy for you 😊 xo
The geode piece was probably citrine, which is quite desirable. If a piece like that was red or blue it would be dyed, not natural. Natural colors for something like that would mostly be amethyst or citrine, or a clear or smoky gray quartz.
I agree when us resellers start to think about all the stuff going to landfills not sure about you but it stresses me out a bit. I'm glad reselling has that charm of saving our earth in the same respect. We save ALOT. Yay for us!
I swear I saw the shoe!😂..just after the fun fringe boots, & about when you say " I wish I could hear you guys"..the bottom shelf, next to the white shoe, was the match!😏. This was fun Karen!💞..also, BEST Kiki's Delivery Service poster I've ever seen!💞
The print at the beginning of your thrift was sold at a Seattle art boutique shop in the 80's or 90's. I had to have it because it was so unusual. It was an unnumbered print with a cheap gold plastic frame. I paid $60 back then and it was very expensive at that time when my monthly rent was $110 per month.
I have those exact fans and I picked one up by the handle like you did and snapped it so I was so worried you were going to break it when you were holding it like that so glad it didn't break on you like it did on me
I spotted that fish a second before you did! I’m the same with art, but I do keep it. Stunning piece. Yes, I’d have grabbed the other , mostly because I’d want to spiff it up.
I have 9 of those large fans. I spray paint them gold, wired on a small green wreath and a pretty bow on the wreath. Then hang them on my outside windows with a spot light on them.
Love your channel , thanks for taking all of us subscriber’s on the journey . You know the products ,have great advice and your sense of humor is the best !
I can’t believe the fish prints you found! Quality! I’m an addict to paintings and prints, as well! I wanted to tell you that the Goodwills in PA (I lived in Strasburg as a kid) are amazing compared to the ones we have here in AZ. Love your channel, Karen!
I have just found your channel. I appreciate your calm voice and I enjoy shopping with with you. I think you have a great eye for good art. I hope you have assistants that help you. They could hold your camera and help you put stuff in your car and you can have them put things away in your organized warehouse. Anyway, I will be a new subscriber.
You could always buy a new Matt for your fish pictures. Bc it’s super easy to do n wouldn’t cost much more than $5-10. If you change it out yourself. Just a thought.
I live close to Gap, PA so I love your adventures and am learning where to stop during my travels around the area. I don’t sell or flip, but love to browse. Also loved your Barnyard Boys video. That sale is a hoot!
Karen you might be able to get the pastel off the matting with a kneaded eraser (gum eraser), if you take it out of the frame. At Michaels or Hobbs Lobbs, come as a square you knead it in your hand until it warms up. It is useful to have in a resellers kit.
My daughter believes the Kiki art is fan made . It retails new on Allie express for $1.90 . We don't know the artist, but it is lovely. Have a great day and God bless 😊. From Nancy and Becky in ga usa.
Good to hear you enjoyed your vacation! I am waiting for you to list the curtains and linens you got before you went on vacation. Glad to see you back!
Good afternoon. Watching you while laying on a heating pad. Having our water pipes replaced tomorrow and have spent the last 2 days moving my office, inventory, and money pile out of the basement so none of it gets wet. What a job!!! Never thought of this negative when we moved into a 1950's fixer-upper. Love your channel. Gives me ideas and makes me happy. Thank you.
Such fun,I remember those Amish figures were expensive back in the 1990's,those might have been the cheaper painted type,so many great finds, love it all.
Kiki’s delivery service is animated film by Hayao Miyazaki and people LOVE his work.
I want it!!!!
Studio Ghibli is the Japanese equivalent of Disney films, with a cult following in U.S.
Wow! Great information!
Studio Ghibli print highly collectible. Kiki’s delivery service is one of their films ( anime)
It's one of my favorites!
The one you left behind is the better of the 2 fish paintings and colorful. Pastels need to be hung or laid flat to prevent pastel dust (or sprayed lightly with fixative or hairspray to set.) You can replace the mat very inexpensively. Metal frames unscrew so easy to do.
yes! I loved the 2nd fish painting and would have reframed/rematted it for that low price!!!!
Agreed, those metal frames are easy to remove and put back together.

Ohhhh how sweet!! Hello friend 💜
The fish artwork you picked up is EVERYTHING. I would have a hard time parting with it. Would go straight up on my walls 😅
Yes the fish charcoal is wonderful.
If the smutz is only on the mat of the fish pastel, that could be replaced easily enough.
If it had been me, I would have taken it.
I don’t see any problem rematting if the artists signature isn’t on it and it matches.
Aren't art works done in pastels usually sprayed with a fixative to keep the pigments from rubbing off and/or smearing?
That pastel fish picture just needed to be removed from frame, sprayed with a fixative and put in a new mat. It was gorgeous original art.
Unfortunately with a full time ebay business and full time youtube, I don’t have time 😊
The pastel angel fish artwork was also beautiful. The matte could have been changed easily. Wish I lived in PA- I would have bought it😊🐠
same i want that!
I LOVE your down to earth way of vocalizing your thoughts. And, I'm learning from you. I plan to get involved in thrifting and flipping. 👍🏻
You have an amazing gift for finding quality items! In a sea of “trash” you find the gems 😂 ❤
I would hang the poster with the frame as it is because it is awesome!
I absolutely LOVE your channel, you have such an eye for what might sell!
Love your videos- you pick up things that I would have walked past- I'm learning so much and I think it is making me a better reseller. Thanks so much.
The fish pictures are so cool! I wonder if the pastel one could be re-matted?
Man I wish we had a good will around here that had nice stuff like this
You were excited about the fish prints and missed the beautiful autumn painting on the right. 😍 Loved this video - so many goodies! Shopping Goodwill in January is always fun as people are cleaning out their homes!!
It’s a common print 💜
Oh i love th e fish...it would look great in your new bathroom❤
I was told by an employee at the Bins that they sell unsold items per pound to other countries. She said unsold merchandise does not go to the landfill. I was glad to hear that, if it’s true. My Bins is in New Castle DE, so not sure if Keystone Goodwill is the same.

I know, I love the peacocks, too, for some reason
You could just flip the mat around on the fish picture..most likely white on the other side...great finds!
Everyone agrees on how great the fish art is. Karen. You can rematt the 2nd one. I would've bought them both. So good to have you back. All recharged after Florida! ❤️
Random resells well! The Burwood MCM fans were an excellent find! Hope you had a fabulous vacation!
Hi Karen! That iron thread box is super cute and may appeal to multiple audiences. Sewing, people who collect vintage irons, people who like folk art. Just my thoughts. Good luck selling it!
Watching you try to open the silver Santa is hysterical. Its a stocking hangar😃😃
Karen, you just make me smile! Love thrifting with you!
Those nesting baskets didn't come with tops hun. I have them Walmart brand! Super cute still for a bathroom
What a fun trip, so much right off the bat!!! The large charcoal fish is just amazing!!!! Thank you for a great trip to the thrift Karen💜Lavender
“Baskets with no tops and shoes with no pair”!!! I love your thrifting style! You make it fun and a treasure hunt! 🎉👏🏽💗
You can take the fish drawing out of there…it is a nice picture .
Oh I would have definitely taken the 2nd Fish picture !!
The geode piece was probably citrine, which is quite desirable. If a piece like that was red or blue it would be dyed, not natural. Natural colors for something like that would mostly be amethyst or citrine, or a clear or smoky gray quartz.
Thank u for explaining things! Love ur channel!
I love the way you shop.
An awesome price on the boho Lucky Brand patchwork purse
18:07…. Pretty sure you missed a green Viking Stockholm 5 petal/lotus bowl. Middle of the screen, 2nd from the bottom shelf.
Learning a lot about what sells and what doesn’t - thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience!
I agree when us resellers start to think about all the stuff going to landfills not sure about you but it stresses me out a bit. I'm glad reselling has that charm of saving our earth in the same respect. We save ALOT. Yay for us!

I agree...22:06.
Oooh, I would have snagged the green Whitehall glass in a heartbeat. I’m on the lookout for green ones.
Picture mats can be spray painted, to freshen them up, or change their color. It's fast and easy.
The charcoal artwork of the fish is AMAZING!!! Go back for the pastel... Now!
I love your taste as well your enthusiasm
Kiki’s Delivery Service is from a Japanese film. I think it would be desirable!
That green glass near the Colombia cup… I have those. Just thought you’d all want to know. 😂

Love watching you shop.

I live close to Gap, PA so I love your adventures and am learning where to stop during my travels around the area. I don’t sell or flip, but love to browse. Also loved your Barnyard Boys video. That sale is a hoot!
That little sewing iron box would be great for the laundry room for mending prior to washing. Just a thought.
Lots of fun and wonderful, unique finds Karen...as a non-reseller, I just love going "window shoppng" with you! :)
Me too !
Can’t wait for that sewing box iron to be in your eBay store!
Those fans are fantastic! All the MOODY MAXIMALIST love!
Karen you might be able to get the pastel off the matting with a kneaded eraser (gum eraser), if you take it out of the frame. At Michaels or Hobbs Lobbs, come as a square you knead it in your hand until it warms up. It is useful to have in a resellers kit.
I had those big fans. Got them in the late 80’s from Home Interiors home party company. Wish I still had them.
My daughter believes the Kiki art is fan made . It retails new on Allie express for $1.90 . We don't know the artist, but it is lovely. Have a great day and God bless 😊. From Nancy and Becky in ga usa.
Check battery compartment...been burned too many times at Goodwill. We take a small Phillip head screwdriver to open compartment if need be.
at 28:41...did you look at the pic just under the window with the blue matting? Looked like the same type frame....

Good to hear you enjoyed your vacation! I am waiting for you to list the curtains and linens you got before you went on vacation. Glad to see you back!
Hey Hon, that Kiki's delivery service is on HBO. The poster you have looks prettier than most of them; if that is what the poster is about.
The fans were fabulous.... great find.
I have one of those fans! Have had it for quite a few years, didn't know it was so valuable!
Good afternoon. Watching you while laying on a heating pad. Love watching you thrift and picking up the oddest things that sell. Great haul!
You can easily and cheaply replace matting inside of artwork frames.
