Yes correct my jammed so freaking tight, tried literally everything even hammering the drill socket hoping it would be loosen up, but everything failed, ended up angle grinding the chuck into half luckily it was plastic outside and metal inside still took me about 2 hour's plus, than had too drill the screw because couldn't get the screw out as jammed too, finally after a month (just day's when I was free I worked on it) I finally the screw came out while drilling through a hole in it.
Some of the Milwaukee models, including the fuel do have a different thread. But Rohm does make one for the 9/16"-18 now. Yeah….I’m not liking what I am smelling. Think I will take the refund over the exchange and try and different brand. Have any Favorites in the same category? Hardest work it will see is building a deck next summer, some fence repairs and hanging doors. Moving up from a 5 year old Ryobi. Thanks! Feel free to put up some more product links!
I bought a jacobs chuck from Amazon. Works great.
Good to know!
If only they were all as easy as this one. Mine won't budge at all. Tried everything I can think of but I think it'll have to be cut off

What if the chuck can’t grab at all?
Does the outer part of the chuck just spin freely? Is there any place that you can grab onto it with a pair of large channel locks?
So did they change the thread on the chuck bolt thingy? Deciding if I want to keep this or return it.
