Thank you for this fantastic video. The repair tech quoted me $600, but this video gave me the confidence to try it myself, and I found an unused motor on eBay for less than $100. Worked perfectly.

Im going to have to echo the same response that a few had here and say that this saved me. Ihad an intermittent sound during the wash cycle that resembled air bubbles being forced through the pump. Loud at times and it would last for the whole clean. I took apart as the vid shows, really scrubbed up the fins, and cleaned out the bottom of the washer. Just in case, i spun the motor and heard no sound so i might be on to something here. reassembled it all, and crossed my fingers for (no leaks) and a no screaming air filled pump. and it worked. What i think was happening, not enough water was getting cycled back through the pump causing a bit of air getting pulled in and forced through the pump. (at least that's my theory anyway). You at least gave me the confidence to pull it apart and clean it up like new. Here's to hoping it stays quiet. Thanks for the tutorial.

yet another perfect how to.TU. although with the price of motor being as high as 250, might be better off with new washer.

Great Video. How did you diagnose the issue to be the motor for that dishwasher? My dishes don't come as clean as they used to. I also hear a loud droning noise from mine during different parts of the cycle. The unit drains fine and I hear water swishing around as expected. I've removed everything down to the motor, cleaned up the screens and blade. There was little debris found. I removed the debris, reassembled but still have the loud droning sound. I suspect my motor may be the culprit, but wanted to get another opinion before buying a replacement. Thanks

When I removed the water distribution arm the metal bracket came off with the assembly. How do I reattach it the the back of the dishwasher. I tried to take the brackets off the are and attach to the dishwasher but can't see how that would work. Can you help please?
