@@LexVance k well, i found a toothpick stuck in my macerator. i took out the obstruction and put the old motor and pump back in to see if the noise was gone, it was. but as i was testing it looked underneath for leaks and i guess one of the hose clamps just need a little bit more tightening cause of a small drip. i turned it off (which was probably my mistake) not letting it run through its cycles...now the machine wont start or do anything at all. So know im wondering if blew the thermal fuse and not sure where to find this to check for continuity...any ideas mate?

Nice work Skid 💪 I just replaced the motor in one of the dishwashers at my property a few weeks ago. It's definitely a money saver for the budget in my situation. I have an account directly with GE, no middle man & I get parts at a really great price. I can get 2 motors with the pump assembly for the cost of a new dishwasher. Anything to stay in budget, which equals a quarterly NOI bonus for me. Keep the vids coming man 👍

Probably is quicker to replace the motor than the entire unit. The time you spend just unboxing, leveling and possibly drilling new mounting holes, etc. is probably more than what you just did.

I totally agree with you on the gopro I can never get good sound either and resort to my phone. Yeah that motor sounded rough and those motors look fairly simple to install. Great repair made that look really simple and I've seen some guys boggling their brains trying to figure how to take it off.

It goes against my "replace don't repair," philosophy for my business' maximum personal profit, but still, you did a great job. I throw at least 1-2 dishwashers in the dumpster about every week. No doubt you could repair them all. I prefer installing new appliances and zero be-backs.

Just installed a impeller kit on a dishwasher this week. The gasket was leaking. I have no idea where the impeller went. I'm new at repairing appliances. I'm way more experienced with AC units. So what I've been doing is swapping problematic appliances from occupied units with functioning vacant unit appliances. I fix the broken ones when I have the time to learn how. That is such an apartment maintenance statement. You ought to make that into a T-shirt skid nasty.
