    The styling still shames most 4 door coupes coming out now.

    This is by far the best looking car on the road. Ian Callum is an incredibly gifted designer.

    Mine is a 2009 same color and interior. It looks better with anthracite wheels. I installed a black grill and it looks really mean now! This is the best car I've ever bought and is so reliable.

    the glovebox is designed to open with the finger perfectly up/down, not sideways or at an angle, to prevent it opening accidentally.

    I love Jag's in general, my last car was a 2006 "S" type 2.7 diesel . Brilliant car, now superseded by a 2012 XF 3.0 diesel , the best car I have ever owned. All these Jag haters are jealous because their car does not come up to Jaguar standard. Jaguar has a motto, 'Space, grace and pace', nuff said.

    I have an S-type and I was going to buy a Mercedes-Benz CL but they look like a damn space ship. Then I saw the Big XJ and I like the Back, but damn that front is ugly! This XF is the Best looking luxury car outside of a Bentley Continental. Especially in Black! This is my next stop. I like the models between 2009 and 2011, but I might get a new one. Either way this is my next stop!

    Jaguar should do two things with the XF, offer a manual gearbox and bring the turbo diesel version the the states.

    My 1st Jaguar was an 03 S Type. I loved that car. Never gave me any problems. Other than the same issue you have in any car, brakes battery after 5 years 1 set of new tires etc. Would have to do the same with a Chevy. I had a 4.2 base V8 a lot of power sport mode was fun.
    I only sold that one to buy the CF Supercharged a lot of fun to drive. Only thing I don't like, and I'll have it removed is that the damned governor kicked in and limited the speed at 125 mph. On a car that is built to run top of 190. My 80 year old mother took it up to 116 mph. On a privately owned road and the car rode like on glass. I hope that I have this one as long as I did my S Type. If that car was any indication of what this car will be. I don't think I'll spend other than maintenance at the shop.
    So far everything is going well. If you properly maintain the car you can last for many years and miles.

    Oh man just imagine if those AC vents dont flip. I can only imagine how expensive that would be to repair weird stuff like that.

    Although I LOVE the styling and performance of my 2010 XF, I have almost spent as much in repairs as the purchase price of the car. Chasing oil leaks, transmission reprogramming, fuel pump leak, fixing bent rims, to gear shift lever not popping up, the clear coat fading and numerous other issues. Now I'm looking at a timing chain replacement. It has spent as much time in the shop as it's spent on the road. Besides all that, it still excites me every time I hit the start button and hope that the gear shift selector actually pops up and hear all 385 horses come to life. When I enter a highway and passing 75 MPH without a hitch it excites me. Or when I'm climbing HWY 50 into the Gold Country with what feels like unlimited power it's BAD A$$! The power and torc of this car is impressive. And the design and styling is head turning. I've only seen a few XF's around town. But I see a thousand Mercedes and BMW's at every intersection. This is my forever hot rod, despite the the issues that haunt this car. It's a love hate relationship. I have cursed out this car many times, but I love her. If you're thinking about purchasing one of these beware and be ready for a frustrating relationship.

    I got this year premium luxury model black on black. The chrome accents and wheels make it stand out on the road.

    having own 2 jags myself, I would NEVER buy another one again they just dont do very well after 60k. Engines are solid, but electronics seem to fail very quickly and repair is costly almost as much if not more than a Mercedes.

    What a bunch of bullshit about older models. S-Type 4.2 Supercharged has 400hp - more than this 5L has. X-Type 3.0 AWD was the best car in it's class in sense of driving in ice/snow conditions. No Merc or BMW was even close. Only Audi Quattro could compete, but it wasn't that comfortable. And the design of the XF looks a lot like Hyundai.

    Love the style. 5L v8 that "only" makes 385 HP is bad though, should easily make over 400HP. Also all the electronic gimmick is nice but reliabilty is poor. Seen lots of review where car wont start, gear selector wont pop up.
    If this car becomes reliable then 1st on my list.

  • @Randze
    @Randze 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    This thing is probably worse than a Ford and that is why it sells so cheap for a used. The reliability sucks and the service or the replacement for at least one part has to cost about $4,000. That's why I am never buying this car ever, hear the truth about this car.
