I had a 2010 XF 3.0d Premium Luxury with the same colour exterior and interior, FJSH, plus sunroof and 19 inch alloys. Best car I ever had. Absolute delight to drive. Ran it for 5 years, longer than any other car I have owned. Sold it within a day or two, just like yours went.
"Nice people" drive Jaguars - seems very true. I used to have BMWs, good cars, but got much better reactions from other drivers in the Jag. Much more respect and courtesy (which was reciprocated). Gentlemen prefer Jags!

Was recently looking for a car for my Father and I just completely ignored the Autotrader price bands because I’d rather spend the extra money for a proper car, as opposed to than one that appears to be better value, but is actually worse and could even cost me more in the future! One tip I learnt when calling up about a car from a private seller is to say that you’re calling about “the car”. If it’s a dealer disguised as a private seller, they’ll ask ”Which one?” and give themselves away immediately 😁 Nice Jag by the way :)

That is a nice car. Thanks for the review, your style is great, laid back and getting into the depth about your experience of the car. These look like an utter bargain. Only thing I can see to detract is that they're not Diesel EURO 6 for emissions, so the congestion charges would apply, but they're not too widespread, and a 5 series or Mercedes of the same period would be affected also. Ironically the petrol's are probably compliant but fuel + road tax running costs much higher I guess for most people, or purchase price, especially with the 5 litre ones which drink fuel, or the 3 litre supercharged which are expensive to buy.
There is a huge amount of value on offer compared to a 5 series, Audi or Merc. of the same age. And it has dated the best of all of them imho. and is a great car also by the sound of it.

Hi, Barry heres an idea - have the drone behind, fly it over the moving car and go ahead of it, then the drone stops and focus on a section on the road and we see the car pass from left to right of the frame or vice versa then a hard cut to next scene

    • @dravinevatoa9225

Not exactly true, these cars have a myriad of electrical gremlins.
The small rubber seals on rear window small panel come away. Timing chains wear quite poorly if you stick to jaguars oil change schedule.
So it's advised to oil change more regular. A known recall is poor electronic software that can cause infomedia panel freezing or crashing but is cured with updates. Windows operating intermittently and not as meant to with age, led light clusters on rear can fail, needing the full light cluster to be changed. Don't get me wrong these are not bad cars, and Merc, BMW and Audi of same bracket all have their own group of gremlins as many cars do.
Always best be prepared for what's about to come, but dealers who always gloss over these issues don't do the trade any favours.
Besides I've worked in the land rover Jag parts industry original parts are expensive and notoriously not the greatest quality, and none dealership parts even though most come with British flags on packets etc are mass produced in factories in China, India and Eastern Europe and are generally of poor quality, but the lack of durability for a lot of these parts is a known joke in the Jag land rover world, similar to the jokes about Renault and it's great electrics 😂😂😂

@@BarrieCrampton Ha ha yes. It's a pleasure to watch and it's gone to another level. Thanks for an insider's view on the motor trade. As a private individual, I'm noticing prices are high generally at the moment and choice is limited. I'm hanging back replacing my car because I'm not seeing a great deal of value for money. Cars like the Jag will always be good value for what you get but fleet/ordinary cars seem super dear. I get frustrated seeing private sales priced at the same a dealer charges. I don't know why private sellers think their car is worth garage money when there's no backup etc.

Jaguars are driven by nice people ! Surely not.Their image had always been that they were driven mainly by gangsters and East End publicans. The old Jags of the 1960's,Mk 1 and 2 were the choice of get away drivers. Some used Cortinas, but the Jag could get away quicker.
